Himbo? No, no. Lobotomized.

The idea of "socialization" as a trans person is so interesting, because a lot of trans women talk about how they generally don't experience male socialization (I say generally because all trans experiences are different, but the general idea of true). They experience closeted trans women socialization, which I can't even begin to speak on what entails.

So in contrast, you would expect something similar to be true for trans men, and in a way, yes and no. There is some truth to seeing how men are expected to act (stoic, unemotional, etc) and internalizing that. But there is also the experience of growing up as a little girl where so much focus is put on the idea that you should grow up in service of others. That is internalized so readily in just watching your mother and sisters cooking and cleaning up thanksgiving dinner while your dad and brother sit in the family room watching football. Its in how your body is told to be covered until it can benefit the men around you (i.e. school dress codes). Its in how you, as the smart girl in class, need to pick up the slack in group projects with class clown boys, but you are still less intelligent and deserve to be talked down to. Its in how you are told to be quiet and diminish yourself and act for others and never yourself. And because you are expected to grow up as a girl, this is how you are expected to act.

But then you aren't a girl, you are now a man that lives in service to others, has internalized this idea of diminishing himself, is stoic about his emotions, and lives in a world where the crimes of cis male patriarchy are thrust on his shoulders as his responsibility. Any of his anger is seen as either violently male, or hysterically female, and so you get none of the support you need and are only ever really critiqued.

Idk, just thinking about trans men again.

It hurts knowing you're more privileged and have more opportunities than like 80% of the world with a lot better quality of life and still have life suck so much. Like I'm well aware that just by being born in a western country, that's already better off than like 80-90% of the world. And yet everything hurts physically and mentally and I just want to die every day.

This 100%. Why is it always "awwww but I'd miss you so much" and never like.... something that would actually matter to me, or would benefit me. Even just a "I'm sorry you'll never get to live life to the fullest" or "I'm sorry for everything you got robbed off" because at least that's about ME, the actual person, and not about the relation I have towards other people

It's cruel that others expect me to keep living a life of suffering just because it'd make them feel bad if I died

Feeling like killing myself later tonight. The dysphoria and it's consequences are too much. Don't bother telling me to please not do it, or tell me it will get better. because 1. Nobody truly cared before and 2. no it will not, I'm certain of that right now.

And I know nobody cares for me, not on a personal level, and not a broader scale. So I'm finally ready to do "it" I suppose. Hopefully it will be more peaceful there.

“Stop isolating yourself from reality” well tell reality to stop sucking

+ the fact it's pretty much confirmed those "influencers" claim to set up at a gofundme for whichever person they helped in the video, only for none of the money to go to the person in need?

I think gofundme has actually gotten stricter with that where you need to supply receipts of where the money goes, but I'm sure influencers will find a way around that like the scum they are

How do you feel about kindness being filmed like they’re performances. Someone hands a homeless person a sandwich, and boom, the cameras rolling. I’m a good person, they say without saying it, but the thing is a sandwich can only last so long, yet you'll be dining on those social media likes all week. Sure,it’s lovely, helping people. But here’s the thing: It’s sad that the world’s become a stage for doing good when you have a camera in your face, or worse in the face of someone struggling to live each day, they are not the supporting actors in your new tiktok. We don’t just help anymore. We sell the moment. Isn't it lovely though getting credit for being decent when your not just doing good. Your doing good for the algorithm.

People seriously underestimates how living with mental illness is also inherently traumatizing.

It's been almost 10 years for me now. I physically feel my memory suffering under mental illness. Other senses like vision get affected too.

You wouldn't expect someone to undergo 10 years of cancer treatment, only to still be sick, and tell them "please keep going, you've been so strong before, one day it'll be alright!". You just wouldn't do that, would you?

Then why is it not only normalized, but encouraged to act that way towards me?

I agree it went a little too far but just for once I'd like to voice my opinion on the bad state of European trans healthcare or any other of my issues, without being met with bullying to getting told about how American(and specifically always north American) trans people have it so much worse. Then when I point out that that's not always the case, I just get told to not play oppression olympics, even though that's literally what they did with my original comments. And how can I expect to "bridge the gap" when anything gets met with "ackshually"

So yeah I just kinda fucking had it at that moment. Still kinda do but slightly more reasonable now. Should indeed not have said it, but also please stop being so dismissive of trans/lgbt people from other parts of the world.

I've concluded nobody gives a shit about trans rights. Not even other trans people. And especially American trans people. Atp I hope the election takes away your hrt, shouldn't have been a selfish and inconsiderate prick to trans people outside of the US. Maybe this is karma. Good luck out there, but I won't care if you loose access to your tiddy skittles.
