Been seeing some ignorant ass takes that assume that bp/sep women have done nothing for women.

I was a crisis line worker for a rape shelter. My job was to find and secure shelter spaces for homeless women, to coordinate appointments for women entering rehabilitation centers, to fundraise, to research legal records for violent male offenders, and to offer peer support and counselling over the phone for women - often for victims of male sexual abuse.

There was an incident where a lesbian woman contacted us seeking help, because she needed a place to stay temporarily, and the shelter was extremely hesitant to help her and gave her a difficult time because she wasn't directly a victim of male violence. Even though they had the means to help her.

~50% of the shelter's volunteers at that time were lesbians.

The woman who came to us was shocked and felt mishandled. I was disappointed as well and I had been advocating for her. She lost faith in the organization, which she had trusted because of its reputation. And I said, this is not sitting right with me. So I quit.

Pregnancy is not a punishment for having sex. Yes, even unprotected sex.

Parenthood isn’t a punishment for having sex, either. Parenthood is a lifelong responsibility that should knowingly be opted into; it isn’t a penalty for having sex and getting pregnant one (1) time.

Having sex is not an immoral act. Women having sex is not an immoral act. It does not need to be punished.

controversial take, but I don’t have much sympathy for people who decide to carry a pregnancy to term where the fetus ends up being a severely disabled person, just for them to complain about how hard their life is. you had a choice. you made it. stop being a perpetual victim. the victim is the disabled person who has to suffer now from your selfish decision.

talking about how it takes a village to raise a kid when what the mean is they can't actually afford to have kids and think me being 1. a women and 2. childfree means im just expected to help them raise the kid i deliberately didnt have. Another heterosexual humiliation ritual in which women attempt to “bash” men by publicly admitting to sleeping with them. No wonder men have humongous egos, why wouldn’t they? Women give up everything in the hopes that men will fulfill fairytale promises. We will call men ridiculous for believing pornography accurately reflects reality, but let women forever be influenced by Disney films they watched as children. Just as women aren’t comparable to the adult actresses being paid to perform fantasies, neither are men going to be Prince Charming.

Women are going to continue auditioning themselves and pledging allegiance to users, so ignore the blame game they participate in once it inevitably ends. Remember this is a bonding activity that women in relationships partake in, seeking to normalize such behavior. If female socialization is to be undone, no more making light of terrible life choices, or publicly announcing stupidity.
