one of the most frustrating things about the neil gaiman situation (and others like it) is people who were fans immediately moving to a different person to idolise ('well, at least we still have x author' or 'please tell me y author is still a good person') and in this situation specifically, 'terry pratchett would be furious'. no!!! you do not know!!!you have no idea whether terry pratchett or any author you like was/is a predator! you cannot take a situation in which a man's public persona as a feminist and supporter of women allowed him to prey on vulnerable women without suspicion and then look at all the other men who portray themselves as good people and say 'well, these ones are still okay though.' just stop idolising celebrities!!!!!!!

have you ever seen that post where someone called out how simone de beauvoir was trafficking young girls and a radfem reblogged it to write this long drawn out post on how simone was actually the real victim in the situation, with not a peep about the girls she helped victimize

These women don't give a shit about the well being of girls.

Time and again I have seen them defend misogynist women and not hold hem accountable because of some stupid concept of solidarity that they don't even know about.

You are true anon. These radblrinas defend their dead idols over the well-being of women.. Mary dale was very homophobic and still her texts are passed around. Andrea dworkin's texts on lesbians opened my eyes on how lesbophobic she is. And no one batted an eye.

But what I seem to notice is that this solidarity doesn't seem to extend for lesbians, woc and marginalised women.

They hate gay males for misogyny but find their bfs misogyny cute.

They write posts "Avg white male is less misogynistic than avg man in middle east" "Afghan men hated women, so they established Taliban" while their western gov actively supplied funds for terrorist organisations and de stabalised the middle east.

Their sympathy extends only for women who uphold oppression.

why is privacy so eroded. I get treated like a nutcase if I say no, I don't want strange companies taking pictures of my home and putting them online for maps or whatever. I don't want to be in the background of your tiktok, and I think it's weirder for you to assume I'm okay with it than it is for me to politely ask you to refilm it so my face isn't in the frame. I don't enjoy handing my employer a list of every online account I have and feeling under surveillance when I'm just shit posting or sharing pictures of my cats or garden harvest. I don't want to hear your private calls on speaker on the bus, esp when the person on the line doesn't know you're broadcasting their words to strangers. I don't want an algorithm guessing what will piss me off the most so I spend more time online, engaging with shit I don't want to see or hear out of outrage. I don't want any of this. it's total ass.

frankly if you identify with society's idea of womanhood, you lack either critical thinking or self respect.

this goes for males and females.

I see willingness to engage with conflict as one of the ultimate signs of trustworthiness.

you can’t trust someone who fawns or freezes or falls into hysterics at the slightest hint of a conflict, or who equates conflict with abuse. Their “support” only lasts up until the point where they feel their interests don’t entirely align with yours, which upon reaching they will abandon you like the cowards they are.

This is the DREAM.

female liberation will go nowhere because many of you are lazy. you don't do anything to help yourselves or other women and think complaining on the internet is real activism. you'll say you love mean women and that women should be gross and loud but get upset at girls who do act like that. you hate women who treat men the way men treat women. you think misandry and the female gaze are actually real. you think being rude and perverted towards men is wrong. you think males can be victims. you still date men. you defend boymoms. you probably are a boymom. you only call out misogynists if they're ugly. you can't leave your house without wearing makeup and uncomfortable clothing, shaving, and inspecting all of your flaws. you put no effort into changing yourself. you can change if you wanted to. you can stop caring about males. you can stay single and stop engaging in hookup culture. you can leave men behind but you choose not to. you don't want to admit it but you'd rather stay oppressed than put any work into getting yourself out of this shithole because it's easy. you're stupid if you complain while doing nothing about your situation. you're stupid if you complain about males while still choosing to keep them in your life, including your male relatives. men are the people oppressing you so stop thinking that they're going to save you. you can only help yourself
