hate that "love women more than you hate men" is only ever used as to mean "stop dividing the movement by pointing out my privilege!!"

Yeah, cause even in radical feminism now, women don't examine their internalized misogyny.

It's all about deflecting blame for their decisions onto biology, and getting with men while at the same time expecting to be able to take down patriarchy.

If only we could shake them into understanding that being with men upholds the patriarchy and women will never be free the longer they keep it going.

They accuse us of dividing the movement, but what movement? Feminism is a joke when they pander to the patriarchy so blatantly and shamelessly.

When David Foster Wallace said “there’s a lot of narcissism in self hatred” he was absolutely right.

are you cat pretty, fox pretty, deer pretty, bunny pretty, jellyfish pretty. are you gonna get rid of your hip dips or your strawberry legs or your baby cheeks or your vuvuzela arms. what’s your seasonal color, have you had a personal color analysis. what’s your kibbe body type. what’s your aesthetic, what kind of vibe are you tryna give. have you tried the butt pencil test. have you tried the charcoal face mask. what about the charcoal toothpaste. have you tried sleeping with mouth tape on to get a better jawline. are you saving up for veneers or a BBL or a boob job. are you beer tanning this summer. have you optimized your shower routine. did you know that not making facial expressions keeps you from getting wrinkles. do you wanna learn how to be “That Girl.” do you wanna get the fox eye surgery or buccal fat removal. are you a girl boss or a bimbo. have you tried the hair identifier spray. are you gonna hide your double lip line. are you gonna get that liquid nose job. is your face card serving. does your pinky overlap your thumb when you wrap them around your wrist. how big is your nose gap. what’s your canthal tilt. did you know you can treat smile lines.

So many feminists live in a delulu fantasy world not advising women to make decisions based on the world we actually live in, but instead a world of how things should be

i think it's the byproduct of the leftie mindset, when you strive to be so open-minded your brain falls out; and feminism is a left wing ideology so it's suffering from its shortcomings. you know the joke about liberals at their core wanting to rebel against all social conventions out of arrested development, so they'll defend vile shit like pornography or pedophilia because conservatives are against them. it's a bit similar here. the trappings of defending stupid shit that women do in the name of feminism, because from a feminist viewpoint all women are perpetual misunderstood victims, and not real humans that are active participants in their own lives.

I see willingness to engage with conflict as one of the ultimate signs of trustworthiness.

you can’t trust someone who fawns or freezes or falls into hysterics at the slightest hint of a conflict, or who equates conflict with abuse. Their “support” only lasts up until the point where they feel their interests don’t entirely align with yours, which upon reaching they will abandon you like the cowards they are.

Thinking about when I asked my mom why humans keep having children when we spend the majority of our lives working—is life just supposed to be work? Is that the point? Are we learning something? Why did you have children? Why is human life so precious when it’s mostly suffering? Why do we keep doing this? And she just stared at me blankly for a long time then said I don’t know I don’t think about things like that I would never ask those questions. Oh ok

Let me just say people who want to be smart, people who want to think critically, people who want to be knowledgeable will always find a way. someone using chat gpt to write an essay they didn't care about in the first place, isn't eroding their critical thinking because that's not a skill they were ever interested in improving.

Everytime a new form of media or tool gets presented, everyone has this idea that we've "fallen" from the previous intellectually "pure" era, I had teachers that would complain about our access to Google because we should all go to the library. The culprit always shifts tv made people dumb, google, video games, YouTube, tiktok, chat gpt etc. Every few years someone is like *this* is the moment intellect died and *this* is the tool/media to blame.

You guys give people too much credit. A lot of this discourse assumes there are tons of people who engaged critically with every task, and then chatgpt ate their brain 😔 The truth is most people are just trying to get the task out of the way and move on to watching tiktok or a livestream for 5 hours. BE FUCKING FOR REAL for just a millisecond.

My dad was the only one who on his street that went to the library when he was growing up, his mates would listen to the radio enjoying the shade under a mango tree. Did the shade and radio give them a lobotomy that stopped them from wanting to read books? I'm confused.

Here's something that's true always no matter what : The average human will choose McDonald's for the mind over putting in real effort. People choose ease, people choose comfort. Do couches destroy muscle, do cushions destroy physical fitness. Should I blame memory foam for the fact that you haven't jogged since highschool PE or are those just your personal choices....

Blaming tools and "ease" for the lack of people's interest in learning is tired as fuck like. The doors have never been more open JSTOR is right there, we are drowning in free pdfs, there are documentaries everywhere. You can get free courses and resources from the top universities in the world, there are full university level courses on youtube for free.

There's no crisis of intellect here, I think a lot of you are just shocked at how many people never gave a fuck. I saw a grown man with a beard reading the hunger games in public, it's been hell out here for a long time.
