What was Kurt like during his high school years
Widely artistic. Very creative and artistic. He was constantly drawing, constantly making video animation. Here are a few quotes I dug out of the archives for you with Kurt speaking out about high school.
“I always questioned things in high school. I had this different attitude about things that were in history books and stuff. I knew they were altered for certain areas of the country and stuff like that, but I didn’t know on what scale things have been altered. I know now better than to trust anything I read. I wasn’t thriving socially.
I stayed in my room and played guitar all the time. I thought I was inventing a new sound that would change the whole outlook of music. I discovered it was just the “Seattle Sub Pop Sound.” When I was in high school, I dressed like a “Punk Rocker” and people would scream, “DEVO!” at me because Devo infiltrated the mainstream.
I use to pretend I was gay just to fuck with people. I’ve had the reputation of being a homosexual every day since I was 14. It was really cool, because I found a couple of gay friends in Aberdeen which is almost impossible. I got beat up a lot. It was weird at first. But once I got the “gay-tag”, it gave me freedom to be able to “be a freak” and let people know they should just stay away from me. I was accepted by cool people because the cheerleaders thought I was cute. The jocks knew the jock-girls thought I was cute. I just chose not to hang around with them.
I didn’t meet Krist until after high school. I met him through The Melvins, just mutual Punk Rock friends. The only handful of people who shared the same interests as us.
I got in trouble in school, constantly being kicked out. I was supposed to go to art school. I had won a couple of scholarships, but it was just too much for me to handle. I knew I didn’t want to do art. I wanted to do music, so I ran away from home. I quit high school the last month. That’s what I’ve done all my life. I always quit jobs without telling the employer that I was quitting, I just wouldn’t show up one day. I was the same in high school, quit with only two months to go. I’ve always copped out of things. So I became a “Punk Rocker” for a few months and lived on the streets.” - Kurt Cobain.
Don’t ever become so consumed with someone else that you forget your own existence.

inspirational quotes about love
One must give value to their existence by behaving as if ones very existence were a work of art.

(This interview was conducted in German.)
A gentle melody echoes across the still, crisp landscapes of German photographer and pianist Maximilian Münch (@muenchmax) and, if you look and listen closely, you can almost hear it. In a gallery as carefully composed as a musical arrangement, the 23-year-old intentionally uses line and color to connect each spectacular vista: rock spurs point toward the horizon in an adjacent image, and treetops melt into a lake’s surface in another. Based in Berlin, but frequently traveling to European destinations and abroad, Max says, “With every picture I put down a small composition on paper, a new note that will somehow lead me to the next — wherever this may be.”
