I hope you don't mind a translation tip. I think 憎恨 or just 恨 is a better parallel to the English 'hate'. 讨厌 aligns more with 'dislike', and can, in certain context, come off as cute/unserious. (Unless that's exactly the vibe you're going for! In which case, rock on!)
Thank you!! When I was translating it I was torn between 恨 or 讨厌 I really had no idea which was correct. I do love that the one I used could come off as cute in a different context.

so AM turned Ted into a slug to take away his humanity and force him to live unable to do anything about it. I think AM would be turned into a jelly fish, not only would that take away the body he so desperately wanted but it would also take his mind.
