I’m putting this here so that I can immortalise this on my blog… and probably remind myself to write this one day. UNLESS SOMEONE WHO’S BETTER AT WRITING WESTERNS WANT TO WRITE THIS FOR ME???

I need more Jazekiel content in my life. Would you mind doing a one shot with Ezekiel being badly injured after a job and Jacob basically nursing him back to health?
Hello, I would love to! Hope you enjoy!

Theres a head canon where Jacob Stone is one of Eliot's personas. Jacob meeting Ezekiel was hard because he had Parker screeching in his ear to punch him or to stab him.
Jacob doesn't want to stab him... Again. Ezekiel is a little concerned when he realises that Jacob looks a lot like a certain hitter.
“I heard you ran the nastiest crew on this side of the Atlantic”
I love that the Crew becomes legend in the Leverage universe. I love how they become CEO horror stories, classified files in government facilities, heroes in the purest sense of the word for people who need them.
As a viewer you get to see how human they are, how failable they are, how funny, how they can mess up but at the end of day, even we know, this is the nastiest crew not just they’re the best individually at what they do but because they help people.
Prompt: Jacob thinks that his twin brother, Eliot, is dead but Ezekiel knows the truth. And, the truth may ruin their relationship... forever.
Jacob was feeling down. He always felt down this time of year. It was around the time where he and his dad got the message that Eliot had died while in service.
Ezekiel curled up to his cowboy, head on his chest as he stared up at Jacob. He watched as Jacob stared blankly at the ceiling. He frowned a bit, his stomach twisting.
He knew the truth about Eliot. He’d run into the long-haired male while trying to steal the same thing. He remembered those misty, blue eyes as he faded into unconsciousness after being stabbed.
“Are you okay?” Ezekiel asked Jacob.
“Yeah. I’m fine, darlin’,” Jacob told him softly, wrapping an arms around Ezekiel’s smaller frame.
Ezekiel moved closer to him, nuzzling his shoulder a bit. “What are you thinking about?”
Jacob was quiet for a moment. Did he want to tell Ezekiel about having a dead twin brother? A little bit.
“I’m just... thinking about home,” Jacob finally announced softly.
“You hate home, love.”
“I’m thinking about my past. Not specifically my dad.”
Ezekiel sat up, hugging himself for a moment. He jumped when Jacob wrapped his arms around him.
“Your brother is alive,” Ezekiel blurted, covering his mouth and hugging himself again when Jacob recoiled from Ezekiel as if he’d been burnt.
“You’re lying.”
“I don’t lie, Jacob. I would never lie about this.”
“You’re lying. I was told he was dead by the US army,” Jacob said, standing and towering over Ezekiel, threateningly. ”He’s dead.”
“They never found a body,” Ezekiel said. “Right? Usually they’ll find a body, but they didn’t, did they? Explain that, Jacob.”
Jacob sputtered for a moment. “I think you should go.”
Ezekiel looked up at him with large, hurt eyes. All he saw was cold, unforgiving ones. He left as requested. He gave Jacob one last glance before exiting the room.
“Idiot,” Ezekiel cursed to himself. “I’m such a bloody idiot.”
He was packing a bag. He was going off to find Eliot. He wanted to give his... ex boyfriend closure.
He shouldered the backpack and took a deep breath. He walked into the annex and looked up at Jenkins for a moment before looking down. “You and Mr. Stone have a bit of a falling out?”
“Kind of,” Ezekiel said before explaining the entire ordeal to the caretaker.
“I see... You are going off to find Mr. Stone’s long lost brother.”
“I’m telling the truth, Jenkins. I am. I don’t lie. I may be a thief, but I don’t lie,” Ezekiel said, taking a deep breath to calm himself. “I have to do this or... Or Jacob will never be able to trust me ever again.”
“Where do you need to go, Mr. Jones?” Jenkins said, moving towards the globe. “I will cover for you.”
“Boston. I need to go to Boston,” Ezekiel said,
He’d been up the entire night running searching for Eliot and he’d found him in Boston, but that was all he’d gotten.
“I need a more specific location, Mr. Jones,” Jenkins drawled.
“McRory’s bar,” Ezekiel decided. It was one of his favorite bars.
“Very well.”
Ezekiel stepped into the bar, stumbling slightly and looked around. He took a seat in the corner and out of the way. He set up his laptop and plugged it into the outlet.
“Can I get you a drink?” A ginger girl asked.
“Just a beer is fine,” Ezekiel said, looking up at her with a slight smile.
She walked away and he didn’t look up when someone else walked over.
“I’ve already gotten my ord-” He was cut off by a hand wrapping around his throat.
His eyes widened as he looked up into the familiar eyes of Eliot Spencer. He let out a croak, trying to say something, but his throat was being crushed and he couldn’t breathe. He was starting to panic.
“Eliot, let the kind man go,” a voice said, comingup besides the long haired man.
Suddenly, Ezekiel could breathe again. He took gasping breaths of air, pressing himself against the wall of the booth, keeping distance between him and Eliot.
“What are you doing here?” Eliot growled, hands on the table. “I told you to never come after me.”
“I know.” Ezekiel’s voice was small. “It’s about Jacob.”
Eliot’s eyes widened. He sat down across from Ezekiel, waving off the people who’d gathered around them. They dispersed after a hesitant moment.
“What about him?” Eliot asked, eyes narrowing again.
“He... I told him you were alive and now he wont talk to me and it hurts. He always listens to reason but now he’s not and he hates me. He won’t even talk to me. I... I really messed up, but he was so sad. I just wanted to make him feel better.”
Eliot growled. “You told him I was alive?”
“He mopes around for days on end around the anniversary of finding out you “died”,” Ezekiel said, putting finger quotes around died. “I couldn’t keep it from him any longer. He deserves to know you’re alive.”
“Where is he?”
“I’d have to bring him to you.”
“Why can’t you bring me to him?” Eliot narrowed his eyes.
“We’re not allowed to let outsiders into our line of work. I learned that the hard way. I can’t bring another person. Last time they stole something important and almost ruined Christmas.”
Eliot leaned in. Ezekiel could smell the apple shampoo and the familiar cologne from the other.
“I’m going to tell you this once, and only once,” Eliot said, eyes narrowing. “You’re going to bring me to my brother and I wont kick your ass.”
“Fine, but the others are going to be really mad at me if you steal anything,” Ezekiel said.
Ezekiel pulled Eliot into the annex through the backdoor. He laughed slightly when he watched him stumble.
Eliot growled at him and Ezekiel shut up immediately.
“Where are we?” Eliot asked, looking around. His eyebrows scrunched together.
“Welcome to the Library, mate,” Ezekiel said.
“My brother works in a library?” Eliot said, sounding disbelieving.
“Not /a/ library,” Ezekiel said, shaking his head. “/The/ Library.”
“I don’t get it. My brother could barely read a book for school,” Eliot said. “Why would he be a librarian.”
“Don’t be ignorant. You’re brother is the smartest man I know,” Ezekiel said. “He must’ve been hiding his intelligence from you.”
Eliot frowned.
“Jones, who are you-” Ezekiel whipped around to see Eve standing in the doorway to the Annex.
“Uh, colonel, meet Eliot Spencer. Retrieval specialist and twin brother of Jacob,” Ezekiel said, motioning to Eliot. “Eliot, meet Colonel Eve Baird.”
Eliot puffed his chest out, eyes narrowing. “NATO-terrorist team?”
“How’d you know?” Eve asked, sizing up Eliot.
“You have a very distinctive stance,” Eliot said, shrugging.
“Keep an eye on him for me, Baird. I have to get Jacob.” Ezekiel ran from the room
Jacob was sitting in his room. He was trying to focus on the book he was reading, but it wasn’t working.
“Come in,” he called, hearing someone knock at the door.
Ezekiel pushed it open. “Jacob?”
“Go away, Jones,” Jacob snarled.
“No,” Ezekiel said, finally standing up for himself. “No. You need to get your head out of your arse.”
Jacob looked up, startled when Ezekiel stood up for himself.
“I’m sick and tired of you not listening to me,” Ezekiel continued. “I don’t lie. I may be a thief, but I /don’t/ lie. I would never lie to you about something like that. You were so sad and I couldn’t stand seeing you sad like that.”
Ezekiel stared at his feet. “Now- Now I want you to come with me. I have to show you something.”
Jacob rose to his feet. “Okay.”
Ezekiel reach out a shaking hand. Jacob didn’t take it. Ezekiel understood why. They were still on pause.
Ezekiel lead him into the Annex to where Eve and Eliot were laughing. Jacob’s mouth fell open and tears started to stream down his cheeks.
Eliot smiled brightly seeing his brother. He opened his arms for a hug and received one.
It was silent for a moment before Jacob pulled away from his brother and punched him square in the face.
“What the hell, Eliot! Why did you pretend to be dead? Where have you been this entire time? How come Ezekiel know you were alive but I didn’t?” Jacob asked, sky blue eyes ablaze with fury.
“Because we ran into each other a time or two. The second time I stabbed him because he got to what I was going after first,” Eliot said, shrugging.
“Yeah, your brother and i have a past. He doesn’t like me much,” Ezekiel said, shrugging.
“Jones, I’m so sorry,” Jacob apologized, pulling the Australian close and brushing his lips against Ezekiel’s. “I’m so stupid to not believe you. I know you don’t lie, and yet, I was in so much denial I thought you were lying.”
Ezekiel pressed his lips against Jacob’s. “Next time, you won’t get off so easy.”
Jacob tilted his head to the side for a moment. “Uh... What?”
“You’ll find out soon enough.” Ezekiel turned to Eliot. “Time to get back to your team, Eliot. Just go right on through that door and you will be right back in Boston.”
Eliot nodded and moved towards the door and paused, turning back to Eve, Jacob and Ezekiel. “Don’t be a stranger, Jake. You can even bring Ezekiel along with you if you ever want to come hang out in Boston for a bit.”
Jacob smiled a bit, arm still around Ezekiel. “I’ll make sure you send you a call if I ever want to meet up. Maybe start a bar brawl somewhere for old time’s sake?”
“Yeah, I’d like that.”
Family was reunited and trust was mended. It was a good day for Ezekiel Jones and Jacob Stone.
Wow, I actually forgot I was writing this AU. So uh, here you go. Here’s the next part.
Jacob stared down at the clippings book, completely mystified. “So, this book tells you everything-”
“No, you wanker, it tells me about wrong goings in the world,” Ezekiel cut off Jacob. “Or, one wrong going powerful enough that it needs me, the librarian.”
“And me?” Jacob asked, following Ezekiel as he moved through the annex.
“And you. Guardians follow the Librarians and keep them out of trouble,” Ezekiel told him, grabbing a hoodie and putting it on over his button up shirt and throwing the previously worn lab coat aside.
Jacob nodded. Right, keep him out of trouble. How much trouble can a twenty-five year old get into?
It turns out that he can get into a lot of trouble. Ezekiel is a sneaky bastard and likes to disappear at a moments notice.
“Jones, you better show yourself right now! This is not a game,” Jacob shouted, spinning a bit to look for the librarian in the trees.
He spun around, hands flying up to guard his face hearing a twig snap behind him. His eyes narrowed. He was ready to fight. He was relieved seeing it was Ezekiel.
“Don’t do that, Jones,” Jacob growled. “Don’t do that to me. I’m pretty sure Charlene would’ve killed me if I had lost you or you had gotten killed, so please, Ezekiel, don’t do that again.”
Ezekiel looked upset for a moment, but shook it off. “I found where the artifact is, Stone.”
“Good. Let’s go. Don’t disappear on me this time, yeah?” Jacob suggested.
Ezekiel nodded and broke off in a spring in the direction he must’ve come in. Jacob hurried after him, grumbling to himself.
Jacob grumbled to himself as he sat on a stool in the annex, nose bloody, shoulder dislocated and ankle sprained; all because Ezekiel decided to disappear again
Ezekiel handed him some bandages and an ice pack. He looked upset and very apologetic. He pressed a tissue he’d been hiding somewhere into his nose.
“I-”
“No,” Jacob growled. “It’s my turn to speak.”
Jacob paused for a moment to see if Ezekiel was listening. He was.
“I told you no more disappearing acts. If this is going to work, you’re going to need to listen to me too, ‘Zeke. Okay? You can’t just disappear on me like that.”
Ezekiel failed to make eye contact with Jacob, busying himself with putting the ice pack on Jacob’s ankle. It was swelling a bit, but he’d be able to walk on it no problem.
“Look at me man. It’s not you-”
Jacob was cut off by lips pressing against his own. His eyes were wide before they shut for a moment.
“I was scared,” Ezekiel said. “I was falling and I wasn’t sure if anyone was going to be there to catch me.”
Jacob smiled, a slight shade of pink on his cheeks. “I’ll always be here to catch you.”
Jacob kissed him again, this time a little passionately.

“I can’t do this on my own. You got me.”
Request- Zeke asking Jacob if going to the horse range was a date and Jacob’s friend asking Jacob if Zeke is his boyfriend
In all honesty, Jacob had been nervous. They weren't allowed to date outside the Library, but nothing was said against dating inside the Library. Everything was done with Fortuna. She was defeated and they could head back to the Annex. Slaten pulled him aside, a slight smile on his face. "Your little Australian friend," He started. "You two dating?"Jacob's eyes widened. "Uh- what?"Slaten chuckled. "We've been friends for years, Jake. I know that look. When you look at him, you want him."Jacob ran a hand through his already mussed up hair. "It's that obvious, huh? I wanted to ask him, but all I did was invite him to watch some horses.""Go get him, cowboy," Slaten chuckled, turning him around and giving him a push towards where Ezekiel was standing; waiting. Jacob wandered over to Ezekiel. "Hey.""Was this a date?" Ezekiel asked. Jacob looked at him, mouth open slightly. "What?"Ezekiel rolled his eyes. "For a guy with 190 for an IQ, you're mighty dense. Was this supposed to be a date before it was a mission."Jacob's cheeks flushed and he nodded. "Yeah. I had meant to ask you, but I have no experience with asking people out.""But you're the biggest playboy I know.""That's all for show. Especially because I like boys."Ezekiel nodded and grabbed him by the lapels of his shirt. "I'll go on a date with you, Jacob Stone." The Australian pulled him in for a kiss.
Rachael Perrell Fosket ships Casskins and Jazekiel pass it on.
Request: how about Jake getting Zeke a pet
This was not how Jacob thought he and Ezekiel would get a pet. He expected to go to a shelter and pick one out. He did not expect to be on a mission and a kitten would end up in their clutches.
“Maybe it’s lost,” Jacob said to Ezekiel who was cooing to the small ball of fluff while sitting on Jacob’s desk
Jacob had had a plan. He wanted a puppy. And while they were picking out the puppy, we wanted to spring the question on Ezekiel. This was not part of his plan.
Ezekiel looked up at Jacob with the most heart-broken expression. “What if it’s not?”
“Well...” He hung his head again. He was trapped. “Let’s hang flyers. If no one calls, we can keep it. But I ain’t cleanin’ it’s litter box.”
Ezekiel grinned brightly at Jacob. “Oh, thank you, love,” he gasps, getting up and hugging Jacob.
“Its no problem, darling.”
It was a big problem. This kitten was the thing they’d been looking for the night they’d gone for the mission.
“Its a what?” Eve asked, looking at the kitten, well, cub, as Ezekiel played with it.
“A nemean lion cub,” Jacob said. “In Greek mythology, it’s fur was indestructible. Hercules used it’s pelt as shawl to protect himself from the monsters.”
“This kitten was causing the mischief?” Ezekiel asked, looking up at Jacob. He seemed really upset that he had to give up the kitten.
“No,” Jenkins said. “That was his mom looking for her cub.”
Jacob bit his lip.
“And by taking him, there’s even more and that’s why the clippings book is mad a us?” Cassandra asked.
“Precisely, Miss Cillian,” Jenkins said. “Now, I suggest bringing back the cub now to save from any further damage.”
Ezekiel had disappeared, the nemean cub left on Eve’s desk.
“You guys go on without me and Jones,” Jacob told them, leaving the other three behind.
Jacob grinned as he pulled Ezekiel through the back door. It was a couple days after the team had returned the cub to it’s mother and put it in the magical creature room in the library.
“Where are we going, love?” Ezekiel questioned, hands intertwined together.
“You’ll see,” Jacob told him, grin coming through into his voice.
He wished he got Ezekiel’s expression on camera when he heard the yapping of dogs and puppies, but it’d always be in his mind.
“Lets pick one out,” he suggested to Ezekiel. “Give it the loving home it deserves.”
Jacob’s free hand pressed against the velvet box in his pocket.
Ezekiel let go of Jacob and looked into the different cages of all of the dogs and came across the biggest one. His eyes widened and his heart melted at the sight of the Saint Bernard named Parker.
“This one, eh?” one of the pound workers inquired. “He’s had his fair share of abuse and abandonment.”
“Jacob, we need this one,” Ezekiel said, looking at his partner. His eyes had the doeiness again in them and Jacob knew he wouldn’t be able to say no. How could he to an animal that needed help.
“Can we go into the kennel with him?” Jacob asked.
“Yeah. Take your time. Let him warm up to you before you decide to take him home.”
It didn’t take long for Parker to warm up to them. He was easy to trust, like Jacob, but also held back, like Ezekiel. Both men fell in love.
“Ezekiel, I... I want to ask you something,” Jacob said, suddenly nervous. “For the past two years we’ve been together, you continuously rock my world. You are the love of my life and I’m happy I never showed up for the librarian job and we met when we did.”
Jacob dropped to one knee.
“What are you doing you wanker?” Ezekiel asked, a blush coming to his cheeks.
Parker’s head tilted to the side with a slight whine.
“Will you marry me, Ezekiel Jones?” Jacob asked, finishing his proposal.
Ezekiel launched himself at Jacob and wrapped his arms and legs around him. He kissed him passionately. “I will. I will marry you, Jacob Stone.”
They went home with a ring around one finger and with a giant, furry, drooling dog. Ezekiel was mad he hadn’t been able to ask first, though. The dog made up for it.

Could you possibly do one where Ezekiel is jealous of how friendly Jake and Slaten are. Please and thank you!
Ezekiel felt as though everything he knew was falling down around him. Sure, Jacob was allowed to have friends, but, this guy wasn’t from the library. This guy, Slaten, and Jake had been a thing way back when and he wasn’t sure he liked it.
He watched their fluid back and forth touches. He listened to their quips and come backs. He saw Slaten’s look; his look of wanting and longing.
“You ever see anything this beautiful in your life, Ezekiel?” Slater asked.
This pulled Ezekiel from his thoughts. “Uh, no. No, no, no.” He licked his lips slightly. “Except for the hope diamond.”
This caused Jake to elbow him. “As far as horses go,” Ezekiel continued, glaring at Jacob for a moment. “You’re aces.“After riding with Slaten to the hospital and realising the weird anomalies, Jacob pulled Ezekiel to the side.“Jealousy isn’t a good color on you, Darlin’,” Jacob grinned, wrapping his arms around Ezekiel.“Me? Jealous? As if, love,” Ezekiel muttered into his chest. “Was it that obvious?”Jacob only grinned. “You’re the only one for me. I hope you know that.”Ezekiel just grinned into his embrace.
For the requests, saying I love you through post it notes
Jacob noticed Ezekiel was feeling down. And that he seemed very out of it lately. It was his duty as Ezekiel’s boyfriend to help him out as much as possible.
Jacob sat at a table in the, post it notes in front of him. He was writing on them, cute little I love you notes to Ezekiel. He wanted his boyfriend to feel better. He loved him.
“What are you doing Jacob?” Cassandra asked, leaning over his shoulder.
“Writing love notes to Ezekiel,” Jacob told Cassandra. “He’s been feeling down lately and I wanted to make him feel better.”
She nodded, sitting down across from him. “Let me help.”
Together they write I love you notes to Ezekiel.
Jacob went around the Library that day, planting the notes in places only Ezekiel would find them. Some noted were reminders. Reminders showed that Jacob cared about Ezekiel and that he wanted him to take care of himself.
He smiled with his efforts. He sat down again in the annex and watched Ezekiel move through the room and off into some other part of the library for a bit.
Jacob wandered into Ezekiel’s room for the night to be met with arms wrapped almost immediately around his torso. He smiled and hugged the thief back.
“I love you too,” Ezekiel said into Jacob’s shoulder.
“I know,” Jacob answered, kissing the top of his head. He lifted him up and placed him in bed. “Lets get some sleep. I have a feeling we’ll be having a job. You need a full eight hours and I could use some sleep too.”
Jake: Just so you know, if you go to prison, I won't wait for you.
Ezekiel: You won't have to. I'll escape. We both know this.
I feel confident enough in my writing to have my first request post. Please feel free to drop one into my ask box!
Ezekiel remembered the day he became the librarian. He was maybe, fourteen or fifteen. He remembered the day he was assigned his first guardian. Eve was kind-hearted and practically his mum.
He also remembered the day she died. Stabbed by Dulaque as they tried to mend the Loom of time. He remembered mourning for days.
Ezekiel sat at a desk in the Library, when a man with a plaid shirt came strolling in with a white envelope and Charlene in tow. She seemed flustered with this man. Ezekiel stood, grumbling.
Already he had a new guardian? Wasn’t he allowed some time to mourn his old one?
“It seems you have a new guardian,” Charlene said, sounding unnamused.
“We just lost Eve,” Ezekiel shouted, yelling up to the ceiling. “You couldn’t wait?”
“What’s he doing?” the man asked, turning to Charlene.
“Talking to the Library,” she answered.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because I’m upset I’m stuck with you until one of us dies. Most likely me, but I went ten years with my former Guardian. It’ll probably be you before me.” Ezekiel says. “What kind of training have you had?”
“Training?” the guy asked, southern accent coming through in his speech.
“Like fighting training. Have you had any?” Ezekiel was becoming annoyed. Not to mention he wasn’t a fan of the accent, either.
“Uh... i mean, I get into bar brawls a lot. But I always come up on top.”
Ezekiel rolled his eyes. “Right, well, I’ve got work to do.”
“I’m Jacob, by the way,” the man said, ignoring Ezekiel’s last statement.
Ezekiel stared at him for a moment before grabbing his books and scampering off to his office.
Jacob sighed and looked at Charlene. “Get use to the layout of the place. He’ll come find you for a mission. or if he wants to talk.”
Jacob nodded and looked around as he wandered off to get use to the place that would be his new home. He was glad to be out of Oklahoma. away from his dad.
Ezekiel found Jacob studying in the Annex. Jenkins seemed to enjoy the company, though it was silent. The southerner seemed to be enjoying the book.
“What are you reading?” Ezekiel asked, sitting down across from Jacob. What was the harm in getting to know his new Guardian.
“Stephen Hawking’s last work,” Jacob said, looking up at the Librarian. “‘Soft Hair on Black Holes.”
Ezekiel stared at him, eyebrows raised. “Uh...”
“You haven’t read it?” Jacob asked, sounding astounded.
“Well, I haven’t had the time to. I’m always off finding some artifact, or trying to save the world. I really don’t have time for reading,” Ezekiel shrugged.
“Well, when you do get the chance to read it, it’s a great read and I think you’d enjoy it.”
“I’m probably too dumb to understand it,” Ezekiel said, shrugging a bit.
“You’re the librarian,” Jacob said, smiling and looking up at him in the eyes. “Give yourself some credit.”
Ezekiel’s cheeks heat up slightly. “Well, I’m not a strong reader. Dyslexia.”
“Well, I can help you.”
The clippings book freaked out besides them.
“Duty calls,” Ezekiel said, standing. “Maybe later.”

NOTE/TIP: HULU ONLY ACCEPTS FEEDBACK AND CONTENT SUGGESTIONS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS. Hulu is also especially important as a candidate to pick up the show because currently, they are the only streaming service with the rights to The Librarians. They have also been recently catching up to Netflix when it comes to making original shows and picking up outside content. I suggest that any LIT that doesn’t currently have a Hulu account make one (even if it’s just to cancel it after the free trial is up) and use it to stream all the current seasons of The Librarians they have as well as send the feedback suggestions for them to pick up the show.
Obviously, I am suggesting that all LITs that DO have Hulu accounts also stream The Librarians as much as possible for the next week or so, on top of sending in the feedback.

Ezekiel always got dysphoric when he was on his period. He only got his period when he forgot his hormone treatment. Which he forgot to do a lot.
It wasn’t like it was his fault he forgot to take his testosterone. He was a forgetful guy. But also he had Jacob to remind him. But Jacob had been busy and now Ezekiel was in this predicament.
He laid in his bed miserably, curled up as it felt like his stomach was stabbing itself. He felt like his hold body was under attack by some unknown force.
There was a knock on the door, then Jacob revealed himself with a heating pad and some painkillers, but also the greasy food Ezekiel loved to eat whenever he was unfortunate enough to fall under the crimson tides.
“Hey, baby,” Jacob said softly. “How’re you feeling?”
“Like my stomach is stabbing itself,” Ezekiel bit back a bit more venomously than he meant, but Jacob seemed unphased.
That’ll happen when you grow up with seven little sisters. Each one was a demon on her time of the month Jacob had told Ezekiel around the time they started dating and Ezekiel had his first one while they were together.
“Right, sorry, Hun,” he said, sitting on the bed and setting down the survival essentials. “I got you some pain killers and a heating pad. But also a cheeseburger for when you’re hungry.”
“I’m not hungry,” Ezekiel said, though the smell of the burger -and probably fries- smelt amazing and made his stomach growl.
“You sure about that?” Jacob asked, smiling in ammusment.
“I already feel fat and that fat-causer isn’t going to help,” Ezekiel muttered bitterly.
“Awe, sweetheart, it’s just bloating. It’s natural for what you’re going through,” Jacob said, shaking the bag as an offering.
Ezekiel was quiet for a moment before he sat up and snatched the bag, rummaging through it with mock abandon. After a moment, he pulled the burger out and tore into it, mumbling a thank you.
“When you’re done, you can take some pain killers and I can help you take your shot, then you can take a shower, or you can shower and then I can help you with your shot,” Jacob suggested, kicking his boots off and moving to wrap his arms around Ezekiel.
“Don’t touch me. I’m fine. I don’t want to be touched,” Ezekiel snapped, moving away from Jacob.
“Alright, that’s fine. I’m sorry,” he raised his hands in surrender.
“How do you love me still when I talk to you so rudely?” The Australian asked, looking over at Jacob with curiosity. But also a bit of confusion.
“Because I know I’m overstepping and I know I’m being overbearing,” the southerner admitted. “And I apologize for that. I know any other time, you’d return my affections, but right now, you have a right to be snappish and I accept that. I still love you because that’s a part of who you are. Do you understand that?”
Ezekiel was still for a moment as he paused eating. “I- uh... I think so...”
He resumed eating, murmuring to himself about being stupid and that Jacob would always love him.
“Alright darlin’,” Jacob said. “When you’re finished, you tell me what you want to do. Shot then shower, or shower then shot.”
Ezekiel shoved the wrapper into the bag and munched on a couple fries.
“I want to shower,” Ezekiel said. “I feel dirty and gross and I just need to shower.”
Jacob nodded. “Alright. I’ll get you some clothes and a warm towel and some products from CVS. You like the ones with wings, right?”
Ezekiel nodded. “I think I still have some from last time.”
“Alright, well, just let me know if you need anything, okay?” Jacob asked.
He nodded again before getting up and wandering towards the bathroom to shower. He grabbed a towel on his way and locked the door behind him.
Jacob gathered clothes for Ezekiel and waited for him.
“You can come in now.” He heard the door unlock.
Jacob stepped in and handed Ezekiel the clothes. He noticed how Ezekiel avoided eye-contact with Jacob; and with himself. He didn’t look at himself as he got dressed. he looked away as he changed his pad.
“You want your shot now?” Jacob asked.
Ezekiel nodded and pulled his pants down a bit so it’s be easier for Jacob to administer the shot. He sat on the toilet as Jacob readied the needle.
Jacob stuck him quickly, then applied a small band-aid to it.
“Do you want to cuddle?” Jake asked softly, reacing for one of Ezekiel’s hands.
The Australian nodded, rubbing his eyes a bit and taking Jacob’s hand. “Yes please.”
Ezekiel laid with his back against Jacob’s torso. The other had his arms wrapped around his body with his warm hands pressed against his lower abdominals.
They were both asleep and comfortable. It wasn’t their ideal way to spend a day, but they wouldn’t have changed anything for the world.
Doesn’t matter if this isn’t Jazekiel, i’m helping people. They’d do the same
There are little things everyone does. These are the things you pick up on your significant other.
Jacob notices a lot about Ezekiel. His small habits. His big ones. His kinda small ones. Jacob loves these things about Ezekiel. He finds them cute.
His favorite is all the places Ezekiel has to hide throughout the Library. Slowly, Jacob had been introduced to each of them. Jacob felt honored. Ezekiel was slowly opening up to him and being in a relationship.
Jacob knew there was one place that Ezekiel wasn’t showing him, and he respected that. His boyfriend was private. When he wanted to show him, he’d be there to support him.
Another thing that Jacob loved about Ezekiel was the way he carried himself. He carried himself with so much confidence and respect. He really admired that.
Jacob himself could never carry himself like that; he’s never been able to. He’s carried himself highly, but not with confidence or respect.
Ezekiel loved many things about Jacob. Ezekiel loved everything about Jacob, actually.
He loved his singing. He loved his hair. His weird American accent. There was nothing that he hated about Jacob.
Well, maybe there was one little thing he hated. He hated the way he could spew out poetry and talk about it like it was his job. Yeah, sure it was his job. His job was to be smart, but Ezekiel hated that he would do it in the middle of thier dates.
But secretly he liked it.
Little things make the world go round. Just a little at a time. Because they’re little.
