You don't need anyone's approval for the stories you write and the art you create. But it's also absolutely valid to want some approval from your audience. Kudos and likes don't determine your creation's worth. But it just feels amazing to receive them.
Sometimes I can't help but think about these two...
have you ever read a fanfic so good that you wanted to write a fanfic about that fanfic, but was too shy / too intimidated to ask for the author’s permission and too afraid that your writing wouldn’t be half as good as theirs and that it would be an insult to their work that was basically a literal masterpiece, so you just sat there fantasizing about their work and how beautiful it was and how you wished you could just eat it and how you wished canon could write your blorbos half as good as this writer did and how you just wanted to cry because you just loved that fic so much????
Declaring bankruptcy after buying 1 sandwich and 2 books
Today I visited the grave of Valery Legasov in Moscow. It was terribly dirty, and even the name couldn't be seen because of the foliage!!! The monument is covered with cobwebs! But with my efforts and the efforts of one of my friends, we washed everything to sparkling purity, although we spent a lot of effort and time on it
I also brought a bouquet of flowers I had made to Moscow. I associate Valery with sunflowers, and his name is written on the ribbon that holds the bouquet🌻🌻🌻
I also brought a dosimeter to conduct an experiment. The experiment showed that there is no radiation on the grave!
a small general photo with a book and a bouquet💖🌻
And so is Boris's grave. It was originally clean for him, so for him only the most communist bouquet of red carnations
btw the majority of your life will be lived as a adult. yeah i don't make the rules. go have fun in your 40s or 70s or whatever. no one expects you to accomplish everything at 17 or 27. you've got time and in the meantime get some life experience, it will pay off
