My eyesight's shifted: I don't want to see this world you taught me to look at when all I wanted to do was fucking leave, I was just trying to find the exit sign, but you held my hand and sealed my fate to your fate,

Earth, she celebrated our union; the Rain fell just perfectly so to dance across the bodies of fiery soulmates,

Once twin flames, the Sun and the Moon found themselves in a cold war over a window to witness our love, each patiently awaited,

The stars of our Milky Way, along with those light years away, shined ever-so brightly upon the Earth, as if to illuminate the love they'd so long ago created,

Now, I look to the Stars and wonder how their benevolent light would ever lead an empath astray…

Perhaps in the same way only love has the power to wield the breath of life, while simultaneously bleeding you dry in an hour of bitter decay.
