Blue and white stripes (same as PR handshake)

Formal and serious, navy is the color of authority

Dark blue with red dots

Required formality, even alone he still needs to wear clothes suitable for a royal. Red can mean danger or his enclosed love

Red with light blue and white stripes

Public image, wearing red is attention-grabbing and, even if he doesn't want to get public after the emails leak, he's forced to

Royal blue and white stripes again but thinner

Power and authority, it's Henry's moment to stand up for himself and fight for his own future

Yellow roses

Hope and youth, as Henry says, it also has a link to Texas history: "Yellow Rose of Texas" is a popular song since the 1930s with a full story on it's own. (You can read here.) Henry is finally getting the happy future he deserves and can hope for a bright sunny future with the love of his life

Side addition: solid tie is the basic pattern that doesn't add anything to the tie and lets the color speak for itself; polka dot adds playfulness and/or sophistication; stripes mean classic and elegant but can differ from one another (Henry always wears the British type with stripes that run from left shoulder down to the right side)

"WHERE DO I WRITE MY BOOKS?"

i've gathered some resources that writers could use in writing their books. this is where you can write your books:

Microsoft Word - you can actually format a document so it looks like a manuscript or you can use the manuscript template.

Google Docs - if you do not have the first one, you can have google docs as a free alternative, it functions similarly as you can also format it to become a manuscript for your book. (EXPERIMENT WITH THIS, IT COULD DO EVERYTHING !!)

Mystory.today - you can write your book in this website because it is actually meant for writers. it's an 'all in one' website since you can have your characters and chapters all in one application. it is free but it has some premium features.

yWriter - similar to mystory.today, but i prefer this one more since it's free !!

Dabble - similar to mystory.today, it's free but it has some premium features but still definitely worth the try !

Pen and paper - i also love taking notes by hand and it feels satisfying to move my fingers and use my hands in writing too !

Milanote - this is where you can build characters, settings, and timelines but it's limited so there's premium version of it.

Manuskript - an application where you can write your books too, it's free !!

Notion - this is a bonus, i personally use this to plan my books but i do not use it for my manuscript. it's still a helpful platform if you want to make notes about your writing and plan when you are going to write your books. it's also a great tool to create a checklist of your to-dos

i hope you guys would mainly experiment on google docs but u can always use what suits your preference. i hope this helps !!

fanfic speedrun: write the scene you want to write and skip the rest of the fic

I desperately wish people would start actually reading the AO3's TOS before confidently making 'user guides' to the AO3 that are just blatantly, flatly wrong.

Yes the AO3 has banned content. They do not allow anything that's illegal under US law - though US law, importantly, does not ban fictional depictions of things - and they do not allow any commercial content. That includes your ko-fi link, or mentions that you do fic commissions. If you do post fic commissions to AO3 and want to mention the commissioner, the fic is a 'request' from the commissioner. This protects the AO3 and you from copyright law.

No the AO3 is not 'a creative fanfiction archive'. It is a fandom archive. Your meta, insights, and theories are absolutely welcome and encouraged there. AO3 also encourages you to post other types of fanworks, like fan videos, podfics, and art, but unfortunately isn't able to natively host those like it does text, so fic has kind of become what it's known for. That absolutely does not mean that other types of fanwork aren't allowed, or are discouraged by the site culture! Anybody who tells you otherwise is just plain wrong!
