One day, while Kevin and Neil are having a heated argument in French on the court one of the freshmen yells:

"Speak English!"

Annoyed by the intrusion, Kevin and Neil share a look and silently decide on malicious compliance.

Neil, though born in America, was raised by his British mother and would use a British accent whenever they spoke English in Europe to blend in.

Kevin is Irish. Born in Ireland, raised by his Irish mother until her untimely death.

They both switch to their 'mother tongues', speaking English but in thick British and Irish accents.

The team can barely understand them. Reprimands and insults are met with confusion. The freshmen are frantic, trying to figure out how to correct their technique when they can only understand every few words. The upperclassmen can't stop laughing, Matt and Allison are trying to repeat some of the words in mock British and Irish accents.

Andrew is in silent turmoil as he discovers a new turn on with an hour of practice still to go.

he is obviously terrible at being impartial. every time andrew is playing it’s just:

and when Kevin is playing:

“Day takes the shot... and scores. i’m sure he’ll be insufferable about it for the next decade.”

“a near miss from Kevin. don’t worry, he’s probably already coming up with a 45-minute PowerPoint on how the court dimensions were off by 0.03 inches.”

Akutugawa who grows to resent Dazai rather than hero worshipping him.

And thus becomes protective from afar over Atsushi.

Because he knows better than anyone how Dazai treats his subordinates.

And as much as it pains him to admit it, Akutugawa doesn't want to see Atsushi's light crumble.

He doesn't see Dazai treating Atsushi better than he treated him as a sign he's changed.

He sees it as a trap.

Atsushi is an open book, he's never been one to hide his trauma or past.

Which means anyone who offers him a hand can use that to exploit him.

And Akutugawa doesn't buy that Dazai truly cares for Atsushi, not one bit.

Akutugawa: You may have everyone else here buying your... transformation. But you and I both know you've struggled to do the right thing in the past.

Dazai: I won't deny that but here I am standing on the side of light. Doesn't that tell you something?

Akutugawa: Only that your loyalty is as breakable as your will to live.

Dazai: Oooh ouch below the belt.

Akutugawa: My apologises, if I had known you were in such a good mood, I'd have gone lower.

Dazai: I taught you well.

Akutugawa: Debatable. I can deal with you, but if you dare to hurt the Jinko...

Dazai: serious I would never hurt Atsushi. On that you have my word.

Akutugawa: Unfortunately your word is meaningless. You may have him fooled but you can't fool me. I know what kind of man you are, and those people never change.

Dazai: You'd be surprised... Since when do you care about my subordinate?

Akutugawa: I don't. But no one, not even my most hated nemises deserves to suffer under your... Tutelage.

Dazai: I admit, I was wrong for that. But I wouldn't hurt Atsushi.

Akutugawa: Good, because if you slip up, if I see the Osamu Dazai I know. If I see one mark on him that I've seen in the mirror...

Clenches his fist at the thought Than I will end your life, painfully with my "useless ability." And we both know much you'd hate that.

Dazai: Not my preferred way to go out, but fair enough. But I swear I won't hurt him.

Akutugawa: For your sake , you better not.

Dazai: I know it doesn't mean anything but, I am sorry.

Akutugawa: Your right, it doesn't.

I love this because Kudou's telling the others what to do, giving out orders like the rebel leader he was in life, and then he just turns to Yoichi with the softest look on his face. Then back into Serious Battle Mode

We know Kudou isn't good with feelings and stuff. Like he said, they didn't really have time for that when he was alive. So he just looks to Yoichi with this expression and says he's leaving it to him. It's not a teary emotional goodbye but it's his version of a goodbye and that means something to Yoichi

Also you could see this as like a reverse of how their roles began, in a way. Yoichi died and left Kudou with OFA. Now Kudou is going to let himself shatter and is leaving Yoichi with OFA

I just imagine after the twins have graduated, Andrew gets a call in the middle of the night and it's Aaron and he just asks "what medication were you on." And Andrew just what? It's 4am. And Aaron just keeps asking until Andrew answers and Aaron just swears and hangs up.

And now that Aaron is in med school has really realizes wtf with Andrew's meds...
