The "there is only one bed" romance trope, but there is only one mech instead.
Each of you have mission critical skills for this op, but we only have a single seater chassis available. You two are going to have to figure out who is sitting on who's lap while also sharing a neural link to the mech.
You've grown accustomed to your sensory inputs getting lost in a machine, but never the nerve ending of another pilot.
You try and shake these concerns away. Think of the mission, only the mission. You reach out for the mech's weapons systems and feel the presence of someone else's ghost reaching out in unisin. The warmth of it cause you to hesitate. Is it getting hotter in here? Is that racing heart yours, or the other pilots? Maybe it's the reactor, its rhythmic thumping increasing in pace and heating up from the additional inputs and feedback
Thinking about robotgirls. Imagine having a fan that whirl up or down depending on if you're anxious or excited or relaxed, making that clicking sound hard disks make (which I know wouldn't be suited for a robot but i like the idea ok) whenever you think or try and remember something, getting your components refurbished like a spa day or manicure or even going out and buying a new shiny component as a treat. Being able to make physical adjustments to yourself or have someone else fiddle around with your workings inside. Making out with someone and they know you're into it because every component is buzzing and whiring and running at full power. Having to be plugged in but not necessarily needing to sleep and for briefer periods than humans, yet you still choose to sleep with your human gf/bf so you can be together. Talking with other robot girls about the components you use and new things you're trying out.
had a dream last night that trucy became like a mainstream celebrity by pioneering a new type of magic show where she would do tricks like normal but every once in a while she would let the audience "peep the horror" and put this like red and black pulsating mass on stage (it kinda looked like an ai generated image) and the whole deal was that everyone who saw it thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen but every time she'd show it one audience member who saw it would die
it ended when she showed it on stage and dropped dead. the show was left going for 72 hours to honor her memory, it was dead quiet with just her body and a slowly pulsating red mass on stage beside her
do you think the first blowjob in history was gay or straight
I'm basically repeating what I said on cohost here because I actually kind of love the designs of the PCA's ships in Armored Core 6.
Now much ink has been spilled about how they're "too weak" and "I wish they were harder :(" which is more just people saying they wish they had more setpiece levels like the STRIDER which, to be honest, same; I'd love that. But the warships are actually gigantic. They're like 300 meters long; comparable to a container ship or a carrier than a warship. But more importantly they have an exposed bridge and pretty rudimentary defenses uptop. The bulk of their defenses are all localized on the bottom. Lasers designed to scour the earth. A bay to deploy LCs and MTs, and a full wing of drones to keep you down. Some units even have railguns on their underside, some have missiles uptop to try and counter the weaknesses of the deck side of these warships, which to be fair, probably would have worked if the Karman Line level didn't give you infinite energy.
Arquebus doesn't really know how to handle these warships. Because they keep on throwing them at you as though they're traditional air-to-air war machines.
When you attack the PCA, they're either flying over the majority of your forces or their ships are outright docked.
Basically what I'm saying is these ships aren't designed for a fair fight. They fold like paper when they're faced with something that gets on the deck.
Because they're subjugation machines.
They are designed to bully a population into submission.
The PCA aren't a normal military force, they're fucking space cops.
I need to rewatch Gundam Wing
Gundam is a show about hot evil women, actually
One of the most life-changing things I ever learned came from Mythbusters, where they tested and proved (with cognitive testing puzzles and reaction time tests) that lying down and resting with the intention to sleep STILL provided significant mental benefits over just staying awake, even if a person couldn’t fall asleep in the amount of time they had.
It helps me to actually sleep to know that just lying down with my eyes closed is still doing me some good, and helps me to not freak out/beat myself up when I stay up later than intended. Any amount of rest is better than no rest!
So if you didn’t know that…now you do
