i dont hate being plural i hate having to mask being plural. I hate dissociation all the time. i hate re-enacting trauma. i hate never being able to be myself. i hate not recognizing my own reflection.
but i dont hate being plural.
"swim free, swim forever"
to me, this phrase is not just exclusive to aquatic creatures. it is inclusive to all creatures who wish to live their lives one day in peace. to be able to exist in a state as close to their species as possible. to be free to express ones species and embrace it fully.
it is hope that one day, we will be able to live the lives we want. in the ways that we want.
no matter what.
its not even just a phrase.
its a promise.
we will swim free one day. we will swim forever.
and we will all be free to choose our own paths.
swim free, swim forever is for all creatures. 🐬🩵 a reminder that there is hope and a future for us all.
someone: what are your plans for after graduation?
me: recreational drugs and then suicide
You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. It's okay to take time to dry off and warm up. Take the time you need to process what happened to you.

So close, I was traumatized and actively suicidal ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
