He will probably never read this, but I would like send Peter Cullen my best wishes, health and also wonderful moments for the next few years, and align him my thanks that he borrowed Optimus Prime, the mighty Autobot leader, his voice.
Since my childhood I'm a fan of the Transformers series. I have many characters in this fandom that I really like ... but only Optimus Prime owns my heart and has made me the person I am today. Let me explain: Optimus was an inspiration to me. He is strong, brave, wise and he always cares for the wellbeing of others first and stands for those who are to weak to fight for themselves.
Optimus taught me that friends and family are important. You have to honor them and stand up and care for them.
He taught me that I can and should fight for what I belive in.
Optimus never gave up, no matter how many times he fell to his knees, no matter how hopeless the situation appeared ... he NEVER gave up.
Optimus Prime will always be the hero of my childhood.
Peter Cullen is a wonderful person, voice actor, and deserves so much love.
Thank you that you are Optimus Prime.
Happy Birthday.
[Peter Cullen roughly recalls speaking with his brother, Larry]
Larry: Peter, where are you going?
Peter: I'm going to audition, Larry.
Larry: For what?
Peter: For a truck.
Larry: A truck?!
Peter: Yeah, I'm a truck! But he's a hero, Larry. He's a hero.
Larry: A hero truck, Peter? Well, Peter, be a real hero. Don't be one of those run-of-the-mill heroes, you know, where they're all screaming and yelling. Be gentle, be calm, be softly, you know, and be strong enough to be gentle.
Peter: Okay.
Larry: And good luck.
Packaging art I did for Toys Alliance’s upcoming non-transforming Optimus Prime figure.
tbh I f*cking adore Cade for being a true friend to Optimus
“Well, what do you think being human means? That’s what we do. We make mistakes. And sometimes out of those mistakes come the most amazing things. When I fixed you, it was for a reward. That was it. That was why. For money. And it was me making a mistake. Without it, you wouldn’t be here. So even if you got no faith in us, I’m asking you to do what I do. I’m asking you to look at all the junk and see the treasure. You gotta have faith, Prime, in who we can be,”

San Diego, CA (July 21, 2016) – This September, the 5-part bi-weekly REVOLUTIONwill forever impact the future of Transformers, G.I. Joe, ROM, Micronauts, Action Man, and M.A.S.K.: Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, establishing a cohesive comic book universe for all these characters and titles. Spinning out of those universe-defining events, multiple exciting new Hasbro-licensed titles will follow shortly thereafter to pick up the story where Revolution leaves off.
IDW’s Transformers line will see some changes with the introduction of two new ongoing titles:
Transformers: Lost Light takes the place of More than Meets the Eye, and will continue the fan-favorite adventures told by writer James Roberts. Alex Milne, is joined on art by Jack Lawrence (Doctor Who Adventures), each on alternating arcs. Beginning in December, this new series will take Rodimus and the crew of the starship Lost Light into the farthest reaches of the universe, searching for the long-lost Knights of Cybertron.
John Barber, who recently exited his post as IDW’s Hasbro Group Editor, won’t be straying too far from his IDW roots as he tackles Optimus Prime, the first solo series to star the eponymous Autobot, replacing the former Transformers: Robots in Disguise. John will be joined by artist Kei Zama (Scarlet Witch). Optimus Prime has declared Earth to be under his protection—and this November, he’ll have to face the consequences.
These titles will join the currently running Transformers: Till All Are One, which will continue on.
