Thinking About How Finding Lira San And Living On Lira San Are Probably Two Vastly Different Things For

Thinking about how finding Lira San and living on Lira San are probably two vastly different things for Zeb.

Maybe that's why we're seeing him Doing New Republic Stuff in 9ABY, because actually returning to the progenitor homeworld of your people is probably a kind of cold comfort when those people are dead? (I mean, I have Additional Thoughts on what he might have going on, but.)

Because sure the lasat on Lira San are also his people, but we actually don't know how long ago Lasan and Lira San split or what the reasoning was or how different their cultures become over time. So, yeah, finding Lira San was great - but living there might be the freaking worst sometimes?

Like idk what if the written language is too different to read and they don't use Basic because they're so isolated why would they? Or Lasan had a royal family, but maybe that's because the royals were exiled from Lira San which is now under a vastly different kind of government and everyone thinks royalty is weird? What if the Boosahn Keeraw is considered an "outdated" warrior philosophy by Lira San standards and being there is an awful reminder of being the last of his kind in a different way?

Just 👀👀👀 MUCH TO CONSIDER!

ouu yes I think about the language / writing system thing all the time i kind of figure that the relationship between Lasana and Lira Sana is kind of like the relationship between spanish and italian or spanish and portugese where they share very VERY similar vocabulary but maybe their pronounciation and grammar structures differ or vicr versa maybe their gramatical rules are the same but their words are just different enough to throw off a native Lasana speaker i think that Zeb would be pretty quick to the punch in learning and becoming fluent Lira Sana but there is still that bitter reminder that its just different ENOUGH Lira San may be similar to Lasan in TONS of ways but its just different ENOUGH to sting a little bit

That video of Alex Hirsch reading S&P notes for Gravity Falls conveys a few things to me:

1) the U.S. entertainment industry (especially animation) is run by older conservative types who make up offensive terms and get really mad about them.

2) the people who run Disney would be the first to fall in line with a fascist regime.

3) most of the media we consume is tailor-made and watered-down to appeal to the tastes of older, deeply religious conservative audiences.

4) conservatism, not the left, is and always has been the biggest voice of censorship in American culture.

I do appreciate Kallus's realization that he actually is very wrong in how he approached things. That all the Imperials Zeb has met have tried to kill him, and thus can be judged the same. That's when Kallus's mind changes, imo. When he offers to hold Zeb's bo-rifle without the intent to kill him.

He's determined to prove to Zeb that not all Imperials are bad, and consequently ends up not remaining an Imperial lol.

Do you ever think about Hera with terrible postpartum depression. Do you ever think how she felt saddled with the child of her dead lover. Alone to raise him in a galaxy in the thrushes of war. Her at the front lines. Do you ever think about all the people who looked down on her for being a pregnant general. Do you think she ever felt resentment towards Kanan for leaving her with a whole living organism growing in her body. What do you think her view on pregnancy and carrying children was like before jacen? DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT???????

however honestly absolutely <- prev which yuuuuuupppp hera obviously loves jacen i believe she resented the situation and thus his existence so so so much and so often until he was about a year old bc only then had enough time passed for her to start processing the grief of losing ezra and kanan at the same time of having to fight a war on top of all that its this train of thought that makes me think about how when jacen was a baby / toddler he was probably really the CREWS kid not just Heras She has more things to juggle than ANY person could probably handle and if shes dealing with that resentment its really easy to imagine a world where shes prioritizing the rebellion over Jacen just as shes processing that grief yk obviously things get better with time but i can very easily imagine a world where the crew (Zeb Sabine and Kallus) are stepping up to help with Jacen when Hera needs considering that shes a General leading a war effort consisting of thousands of people and she probably has a lot of fucking things to do is probably pretty often yk?
