leo was in a bar with live music, of course, he was having the time of his life. music helped him ride his buzz out in such a good way. especially good music. he was surprised by the big bold energy that much too big for a dumpy bar. “hey, you were amazing up there!” Leo called after the frontwoman who just passed in front of him.
Nate: If I said that I liked the last class would it be a compliment or really really creepy?
Nate: cause it's definitely not creepy!!
Nate: is it creepy that I started this conversation?
Nate: okay but forget it
Nate: sorry sorry sorry!
Nate: don't kick me out :(
Nate: I was just complimenting your teaching and acting abilities and nothing more!!
Leo: Is this your way of confessing your love for me?
Leo: You needa lay off whatever your vices are, kid, but I'll take this as a compliment.
✧ PENN BADGLEY as Joe Goldberg in YOU Season 4 Date Announcement \ Netflix
Do you regret being only an acting coach and not an actor yourself?
"Okay, so you wanna get serious, let's get to it then."
"Yeah, I regret teaching people how to act. I don't want to teach it. I'd rather do the fucking thing myself. I'm tired of giving out my techniques to a bunch of those Riverdale mediocre actors. I've been dying to go out there and try it out again, but with what's been going on in my personal life, I'm going to need a stable job. Unfortunately, acting isn't that."

“Hey Kitty-Katzzz,” Leo slurred out, and he repeated himself as he tapped on Katz’ door. Leo had somehow walked from a bar to Katz’ home, too tipsy to go to his actual home or his wife would see him staggering. And he can’t have her seeing him like this. Plus he had wanted to run an idea by Katz. “I had a thought at the bar, what if I had played Jonathon Larson instead of Andrew Garfield?” He shouted into the closed door with elation to the silly thought. “I’d kill 30/90!” He continued on with half lidded eyes.

Blake felt like she had whiplash with he way Leo’s mood towards her seemed to change as he heard there was no other man in the picture. Eyes widening as he pushed his way back towards her almost toppling other people in the process, he sounded genuinely concerned for her. How that might change if he knew the reason she was doing it on her own was because she hadn’t told him that he was the other party involved. “I…yes…well no not all by myself I have friends and stuff that are helping out but..” She trailed off, looking down at their hands as he took hold of them, unable to stop herself from grasping them back. In an ideal world the two of them would be doing this together, as parents to their baby, but he had a wife so this was likely as close as that little dream could come to being a reality.
“Leo…you don’t have to do that.” The baker murmured as she looked up at him, feeling a wave of emotion coming over her. If only this could be how the two of them were as a genuine couple. God that would make her so happy. “You have your…everything else to be dealing with. You don’t need to be dealing with me on top of that.” His wife, the unspoken word was wife.An the issue was she wanted him to stand by her side through this, she wouldn’t have been with him in the first place if she didn’t feel something real and deep for him.

Leo felt her smooth hands began to take hold of his, and this caused his ego to stir in him. He hadn’t totally lost her affection like he thought. She was holding onto his hands with the same warmth she had months ago. He listened to her and shook his head at her reasonings. “But I want to. I want to be one of those friends that are helping you out. Don’t keep me from being one of them.” He pleaded, and suddenly his desire to help became a way to weasle himself back into her life. He did wanna be there for her, she looked so helpless, but it was such a perk to have access to her again.
“Hey, relax,” he nearly cooed. “I’ve made time for you before, and you’re not something to deal with Blake.” He said closing the space so it was just her baby bump between them. But his eyes never left her beautiful face. "I’ll do what I can for you.” He said, his words coming out like a lover’s promise but he was also establishing his boundaries. He was going to be a good friend for her within reason. He didn’t want the responsibility of raising a kid that’s for sure.

who: @le0davis where: ren’s apartment, early morning
They’d still been awake when the sun rose this morning. Ren had no idea how long ago that was now. Just after Leo had fallen asleep, she’d texted her boss to say she wasn’t coming in today, and then she’d joined him, sharing her pillow as they slept together - literally, this time. The sun was peeking in now, through the gaps in the curtains, making the remnants of sweat glimmer on their skin. She could feel his breath on her forehead. She wanted to stay here forever. Even if a tiny voice in the back of her head kept telling her that he’d leave, now that he’d got what he wanted from her.
-
“Serenity,” he murmured, his eyes barely opening up a squint before shutting again. His eyelids were heavy from the lack of sleep. He had really exhausted himself. Every single one of his muscles had tensed and relaxed repeatedly throughout the duration of their night together. He couldn’t believe the night to be true even as he was laying on her bed with her scent engulfing him with her skin upon his. He opened his eyes fighting against the fatigue to glance down and see that her eyes were already open. He shut his own again but in favor of losing a sense in order to focus on the way her skin felt on his lips as he kissed her forehead a couple of times. “Why are you up? What time is it?” He asked inbetween peppering kisses.

“Don’t you dare say anything. I don’t want to know. Just because you’re teaching my ex-husband how to act does not mean I want to know if he word vomited anything about our night together. Tell me everything.” Xavier quickly backtracked on what he was rambling about. “No, don’t tell me. I don’t want to know. Why is sex so good? Not with him. Okay, like, with him, but in general. I meant in general.” He scrunched his face with a small tilt to his head. Taking a sip of his drink, he tried to ignore the feelings instead. “So what about Broadway. What’s your dream role, lover boy?”
-
Leo laughed after Xavier went on a little tangent. His relationship between Nate was a completely different vibe than his with Xavier. with Nate, Leo was a teacher and felt such responsibilty with him. with Xavier, Leo was himself; the good and the bad fully. Xavier was the only one who knew everything. hell, xavier added fuel to Leo’s fire. “Sex is so good.” He agreed quietly with his body slack on the couch and his hand and a halful glass resting on his thigh. “Dream role?” He repeated and then proceeded to murmur himself as he thought about it. “Any male lead.” He answered but he felt it was too general. “Roger from RENT.” His heart answered. “That would be fucking sick.” His enthused, still just a simple theater kid underneath the full beard.
renfarber:
Ren was playing this Escape The Ex game on expert mode, and she had to say, she was killing it. She knew it wasn’t sustainable; both she and Leo would be in Blake and Mira’s lives forever if all went well - and forever was a very long time to avoid someone. But for now she was expertly avoiding seeing him, and thinking about him, and thinking about anything at all. So it was working.
She was on her way home from work now, and Max was at her mom’s, and she was looking forward to a rare bit of quiet alone time when she got back. She had her headphones on, and her favorite Strokes album playing, and all in all it was looking like a great day. Until she saw who was sitting on the steps of her building. Her stomach dropped and she stopped in her tracks, and even though he’d seen her now, she was still thinking about turning and running away.
But, she knew, this was hard on him too. He’d brought it on himself, and on her, and on Blake, but it wasn’t as though he’d been the only one. If Ren or Blake had just been honest with each other and mentioned Leo’s name once during their friendship, all of this could have been avoided. Secrets caused this mess. Maybe talking would fix it.
Still, there was a bit of nervous anger in her voice when she finally spoke, pulling her headphones down around her neck. “What do you want, Leo?”
-
Once he saw her, he got up from his seat, keeping himself in between her and her door. “Serenity, I-” Leo began to say but was cut off by her question. He brought his palms up for a second before settling his arms back down at his sides. It was his poor attempt at showing she had nothing to be afraid of, even though him showing up in front of her home uninvited wasn’t already unnerving. “I just want to see you, to talk to you... I feel like there’s much to be said between us.” He said, his gaze never leaving her face. He missed her so much already it was ridiculous how these past several days felt longer than their decade apart. “I-I understand if you don’t want to talk to me, but I had to try one more time Ren.” Leo stepped one step closer to her but then also to the side, giving her a choice to talk to him or just close the door on it forever.
