Lily took to quietly humming when he stayed quiet, wanting to fill the silence in hopes he wouldn't feel quite so awkward about the embrace. She was half tempted to start swaying them a little as if they were dancing, but that might be a bit too much, especially with how exhausted he seemed. While she wouldn't blame him for falling asleep like this... She's not entirely sure she could support his weight properly or move him anywhere more comfortable.

When he finally stepped back, she stretched out her arms so they wouldn't get too sore. Her smile didn't falter though as she looked up at him, biting back giggles. It's kind of cute, seeing such a big strong guy get awkward over something as simple as a hug.

Perking up slightly at the offer of chocolate, she did accept a piece, but gave him a very gentle nudge as she unwrapped it. "You don't need to repay me or anything, honest." She reassured. "I enjoyed it too, and I'm just glad I could give you a moment to relax, as short of a moment as it was."

Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment, wishing there was more she could do to comfort and support him, but she couldn't think of a single thing... Hopefully that hug will help at least a little bit for now.

Lily holds her arms out slightly towards Dawnbreaker, hoping to make it so he won't feel bad if he refuses her invitation.

"Would you like a hug?"

His eyes light up briefly at the prospect of physical comfort.

"...Yes, I would."

He steps towards her, enveloping her in a gentle embrace to avoid causing her any discomfort, despite his wishes. He leans his forehead on her shoulder, closing his eyes.

Lily snorted at his shock, though it quickly devolved to proper laughter as she leaned into his side for stability. She had thought it was out of character for him to volunteer to go out, but was more than willing to roll with it if he had wanted to.

"Okay, okay. How about just a movie night with some snacks?" She offered, her eyes still scrunched up from her giggles. "And if you want, I can bring out all the silly little hair clips I have for you to play with, as retaliation for my ever-so-cruel suggestion we go out?" She teased lightheartedly.

I would be upset, but you're not wrong! Especially if I'm watching movies at night, I'll fall asleep so fast, it's a little embarrassing. It's just so nice to wind down with a fun movie, lounging on my couch with a few snacks. Then next thing I know the sun is up and I'd fallen asleep on the couch...

Favorite movies though... I've always been partial to musicals, especially with happy endings. Otherwise, romcoms!

"Sorry, sorry," she apologized quietly when hearing him hiss in pain despite her trying to be careful. Still she continued, making sure it was all as clean as she could get it before covering it in gauze and bandages as needed.

His questions made her pause, processing them and thinking over her answers. She at least tried to take proper stock of herself so she could answer honestly, taking a slow breath.

"Certainly not the worst it's been, on all accounts. We should probably find something that doesn't involve a lot of movement, for both of our sakes. As for medicine...," she trailed off, her movements faltering as she genuinely debated if she'd remember to take her meds today or not. Brain fog is a bitch.

"I'm fine, don't worry... it's just a scratch. What about you? Isn't it a nope day? You should lie down..."

"I'm still going to worry," she insisted stubbornly, her eyebrows furrowed, "Sit down for now, I'll be right back."

As much as she knows she should listen to him and sit down, trust him to tend to himself, not over do it... She can't help but fuss. Is she going to pay for it later? Probably. But it's worth it to know he's okay now.

So she shuffled her way to the bathroom, grabbing a hair tie and messily pulling it back and out of the way for the time being. Once relatively satisfied with that, and once again dismissing the thought that short hair would be easier to deal with on days like this, she grabbed her first aid kit from under the sink and shuffled her way back to Xavier.

Lily couldn’t help but giggle around her next bite of pizza at his question, offering a nod of agreement. Once her mouth isn’t full anymore, she answers him more properly. “Of course! You’re always welcome to reach out if you want to hang out,” she reassured with ease. If anything, it’s comforting to know that he wants to spend more time with her, and it’s not just her pestering him for attention.

She nodded along to his own analysis, only to flush when he reaches over to wipe her mouth for her. She mumbled a quiet gratitude, honestly a little embarrassed even if it’s unavoidable to be kind of messy when eating something like pizza.

His gratitude managed to distract her enough to speak properly again. “Well thank you for the idea," she returned playfully.

After spending the morning doing research on places in Linkon City that offer milk tea, Lily finally found a place that seemed like it would be a nice place to visit and had the coffee milk tea that Xavier mentioned. Plus it wasn't far from a few good places to eat so they'd have options based on what they were feeling up to without having to go all the way across town. Perfect.

Lily finally sent Xavier a text in the late morning.

'I found a place that has that coffee milk tea you mentioned! And it has really good reviews.'

After a moment of thought, she sent another text as well.

'And thank you for walking me home last night. I really appreciated it. It was nice, looking at the stars with you.'

If not for the sporadic texts, Xavier would still be asleep. Outside the birds that often bickered over his balcony were squawking at a volume loudly. The combination of factors is enough to stir him, just barely. He knows its her before having to unlock his phone.

In a flash he rinses off, takes care of basic hygiene, and is donning a favored hoodie in spite of the weather.

By the time he gets downstairs, he's already rubbing his eyes again as he knocks on the door.

Cheering at the successful hit, Lily laughed as she slowed to a jog in order to catch up with him, her face flushed from the cold wind and the laughter.

"Okay, truce?" She asked through giggles, even offering a hand for him to shake. Her cheeks hurt in the best way, and she figures they're pretty even again. "Hopefully I didn't hit you too hard?"

Lily yelped in surprise at the sudden impact before turning to Rafayel, seeming almost offended for all of... two seconds.

A wide grin spread across her face as she leaned down to make a snowball of her own. "Are you sure you want to play this game~?" she asked playfully, glancing up at him from where her hands were making quick work of the snow.

Lily stuck her tongue out at him playfully in retaliation, snickering as he leaned into her in turn. “It’s almost as though I value your opinion or something.” She teased lightheartedly.

At the intersection she took the lead again, relieved that they aren’t terribly far from the pizza parlor. She doesn’t mind doing a lot of walking, of course! But she won’t complain about an opportunity to be lazy, either.

“That’s fair.” She hummed “Push comes to shove, we can always go to one of our places and sit on the balcony.” She added, in case they don’t want to risk dealing with people.
