Lily still found herself a little giggly as she motioned for Xavier to get comfortable on the couch while she gathered some blankets and other comfort items.
"Quiet days in tend to be the best anyways." She agreed with a content hum, joining him on the couch after she was satisfied with all of the soft-things she'd brought out for the two of them.

Lily snorted at his shock, though it quickly devolved to proper laughter as she leaned into his side for stability. She had thought it was out of character for him to volunteer to go out, but was more than willing to roll with it if he had wanted to.
"Okay, okay. How about just a movie night with some snacks?" She offered, her eyes still scrunched up from her giggles. "And if you want, I can bring out all the silly little hair clips I have for you to play with, as retaliation for my ever-so-cruel suggestion we go out?" She teased lightheartedly.

While he wouldn't find his desperation mirrored in her, there was still curiosity and affection. A fondness that she still reserved for him and him alone. She can tell he's looking for... something, but she doesn't know what. Whatever it is, he apparently didn't find it, and some sort of heavy guilt settles itself in her.
She does her best not to linger on it, focusing on what he said. "I certainly wouldn't complain about going out like this. I think we look rather adorable, matching like this." Xavier getting out his phone to take a picture surprised her, but only for a moment. She simply let out a happy laugh and easily settled herself into his side, playfully holding up one hand to give the peace sign.

While his concern was appreciated, and extremely sweet, Lily shook her head reassuringly. "You didn't hurt or upset me, don't worry." She reassured "I'm not that tender headed."
She took a moment to debate if she should just go ahead and explain why she's flushed, knowing he's already going to ask if she's okay. Maybe she can throw him off enough to take the focus off of her for a moment?

Lily shut her eyes halfway as Xavier reached out to take the hair clip, still wanting to watch his expression as he tried to decide where to place it. It was so cute, watching him focus so hard on something so mundane.
His touch was so gentle, and he was so close, that it took a lot of focus for Lily to not shiver. She didn't want to risk spooking him into thinking he was making her uncomfortable or anything! Far from it, in fact.
When he finally seemed satisfied with the placement, she opens her eyes properly with a few blinks to re-adjust. She leaned down for a moment to grab the mirror again, beaming proudly as she took in it's placement.
"I think it looks wonderful." She reassured, finding herself overwhelmed with the urge to kiss his cheek, which had her own cheeks turning deep red.

“You can take it out if you want.” She reassured, the giggles finally bubbling up some. “But I saw this cute little set and thought of you, so I had to get it and share!”
When he called her out for already having put her clip in, she tilted her head slightly in surprise. Does he like the idea that much?
