when disabled people talk about fakeclaiming, i think most people on here think we’re talking about rude anons, or some stranger on the bus saying you don’t really need that cane. But we’re also talking about like. The social security administration. Doctors who are in charge of treating us; who deny care because they think we’re faking. Family members who withdraw material support because we aren’t improving when they think we should, and refuse to look for alternative caregivers. And this kills people. Disabled people die without benefits that would keep us housed and fed, without necessary medical treatments, without our care support systems. Fakeclaiming isn’t just rude. It’s deadly

I’ve realized how little I care about the whole “transid” thing because I’ll go to their blog and it’s just spamming how white people can identify as black for fun and it’s like bro you can’t get mad at a clown for exhibiting clown behavior, it’s gonna happen, it’s not worth the energy, just focus on helping other disabled people and block people who intentionally try to start shit.

you don't "hate kids," you hate being forced into a caretaking role.

you don't "hate kids," you hate censorship passed off as family values.

you don't "hate kids," you hate the constrictiveness of the nuclear family.

you don't "hate kids," you're just not used to occupying fully age diverse spaces so you're not used to the noise or the many different kinds of needs.

you don't "hate kids," most public spaces just aren't built for kids, and so the few kids you see are always uncomfortable and distressed.

you don't "hate kids," you hate the intense social rules assigned to kids and anyone who interacts with kids.

You don't "hate kids," you hate how society reproduces its most restrictive elements and how kids are powerless to resist it.

It's so weird to me when people are like 'but that will cost the government money!' So what? They're the government, they're supposed to be spending money. What, you want them to take your tax dollars and then do nothing with it? Lock it all up in a big government vault and just look at it? Why are you so scared of giving a third grader lunch or a homeless person a house.

Is it a headmate? Is it a fragment? Is it a facet? Is it a persona? Am I subconsciously masking? Am I subconsciously/involuntarily otherlinking/copinglinking? Is it a kinshift? Is it a ’flicker? Is it age regression? Is it a mood? Is it impulsivity? Is it an intrusive thought that I’m reacting to? Is it genderfluidity? Is it pronoun/namefluidity?

Who knows! Who cares! I don’t need to stress about this, it doesn’t matter! It’s a mode that the “I” is in, the way I feel in that moment! And I will make a pluralkit/tupperbox for it so I can express myself and decide the rest later! Or never! These labels are a construct! Personhood itself is a construct! I don’t need to box myselves! I can just live!

Do not claim to be a mental health advocate or a safe space for the mentally ill if you demonise systems, cluster B personality disorders and/or psychotic disorders.

I shouldn't make a conclusion on if I have a serious life altering disorder by myself without a professional opinion, therefore I can't and don't know for sure if some of the people I call head mates within the system are actually alters or if they're just the side affect of my living situation and an overactive imagination with a side of diagnosed ADHD. I will not overthink this and ponder if I'm even a system at all and that I'm just appropriating a disorder that I do not have. although I have always stated that I suspect that I have it and have never definitively stated that I have said disorder because I am not a professional so even if I've done a year and a half worth of research and have been provided many bonafide articles, I am still unsure until I go to a professional about this. And no I will not overthink that some professionals are essentially toddlers with a clip board and a piece of paper at times, even if I'm only saying that because of my experience with doctors and multiple professionals. Especially ones that had extremely terrible bedside manners.

I have endured trauma, and I have had blocked memories. I have experienced the symptoms of DID. I have an online journal of most of the symptoms that I and the others can remember that we have experienced. I am fine and I will not overthink my validity as a possible system based around what strangers say on the internet.

/slowly going insane.

i am simply an Alive Bobby Nash Truther until the bitter end. they can have a live feed of the inside of that man’s coffin as his body decomposes in the corner of every single episode from here on out and i will continue to believe that he will rise from the grave and continue to live his best most chaotic life with his hot wife and his cringefail bisexual son assigned to him by the HR department at the LAFD and his beloved dear paramedic friends who come to him for life advice and his son in law/narrative parallel with extreme catholic guilt and a nobel prize for pioneering new batshit ways to repress emotions and discovering previously unknown stages of grief. it is what he deserves

Common things in DID that no one likes to talk about

- switches that feel like you’re turning into someone else rather than them taking control (non-possessive switching)

- being unable to recognize amnesia until something requires you to remember something you forgot

- staying in the front for weeks at a time

- being unable to communicate with alters internally (this is so common why does everyone act like this is weird?)

- feeling like you don’t have any problems because you feel disconnected from them

- constant denial

- rapid identity, label, and appearance changes

- comorbidities, particularly personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and the schizophrenia spectrum

- autism (there is science pointing towards autistic people being more susceptible to trauma)

- disliking your system

- wanting final fusion

Here's an updated version of my pinned post 😊

An introduction by yours truly, Ash

Attempt 3000 of having a Tumblr I like.

I'm Ash, I am a 20 year old with the time zone UTC+1. Triple A battery twice (Aroace agender, AuDHD and anxiety). Some other shits might be going on with me, but I'm not sure nor am I diagnosed with other stuff. Auto-diag is valid by the way, i don't like the medical highstance most people seem to have, there's enough information to auto-diagonise yourself with some stuff, you are the only expert on your own life.

Some people need to chill

I have two side blogs : @lonebabyone (agere), @onesburyinghole (vent)

DMs open and asks too, for anything.

This blog is primarily to have a space to express myself on subjects i like. More details under the cut.

I will tell you one time if i see you don't respect my boundaries, you will be blocked.

I enjoy most humanitarians subjects, like psychology, sociology, history, philosophy, politics (because for anarchy i need to know about it urgh). I'm anticapitalist, i do enjoy some stuff produced by it tho (i mean look in which platform i am), antigovernment (authorities and stuff). I am for communities and for helping thy neighnoor, at least i'm trying. I'm just a human trying to make life in this world and help others when i can. I'm also chronically online and ill so take that as you will.

Anyways, I also love some stuff and here some of them if you want to know:

Witch Hat Atelier

Epic the musical

I don't want to be a magical girl

Formula 1

Gravity falls

Amphibia

The owl House

Hazbin hotel

Helluva boss

Marvel (Spiderman and adjacents)

DC (Batfam and Flash)

Teen Wolf

Call of Duty

Five Nights at Freddy's

Ao3

Arcane

Fandoms in general

Percy Jackson

Hunger Games

Arcane

How to train your dragon

9-1-1

Police shows (because of the investigation bit, not the police, hate that)

Winx

Monster High

Miraculous

Winnie the Pooh

The Music Freaks

Barbie (the movies)

...

This list is inconclusive and doesn't really have an order.

You know what the worst part of having a dissociative disorder is, for me personally?

The emotional amnesia.

Your entire life feels like something that you watched on TV, rather than something that you actually lived through.

You know that some of the most horrific things imaginable have happened to you, and you feel nothing about it. Sure, the memories disgust you on principle, but you don’t feel anything.

It makes you question if anything that you remember is real. If that actually happened, shouldn’t it feel significant? Shouldn’t you be sad, angry, hurt, something?

And to top it all off, nobody understands. Not even yourself.

One of the main problems around people with personality disorders (particularly cluster B), psychotic disorders, OSDD/DID/other CDDs or other stigmatised mental conditions is, well... Everything we do gets put back onto our disorder. Every fault, every misstep, every mistake is used as proof to say that the stigma of us all being horrible people is right.

We can say "not everyone with x disorder harms people, and in fact we're more likely to BE harmed and abused than we are to hurt others" as much as we like--and of course, that's a true statement. But the moment someone with a stigmatised mental illness does something wrong, it's "of course you'd do xyz, you're a narcissist" or "checks out with the psychosis".

Someone with ASPD could cut someone off for any valid reason, but anyone else could spin it into "yeah, that's sociopaths for you". Someone with psychosis could wrongfully accuse someone of something and without being given a chance to apologise, suddenly it's "this is why we don't trust delusional people like you" and you're discredited from here on out. Someone with DID could genuinely forget that their alter had an argument with someone and be trying to sort it out, but no one wants to hear that something was forgotten in the amnesia, so and all they get is "see, people with DID just blame everything on their alters".

People with stigmatised disorders are just like anyone else. They're not evil or uniquely capable of harm, but that also means they're not incapable of making mistakes. Everyone is entitled to their own limits but I think people need to be more aware that disabled people can make genuine mistakes and one slip up or argument doesn't mean that pwNPD is secretly manipulating you. Sometimes people are manipulative and you need to be able to tell the difference--just like neurotypicals, disabled people can be abusive. But blaming mistakes or even genuine malice on someone's disorder does nothing but harm a marginalised group of people. If you wouldn't say "of course you would, you're neurotypical" to someone abusing someone else or if that wouldn't make sense to you, why would you do it to disabled people?

☆ can we normalize carrying toys / plushies in public? ☆

☆ Can We Normalize Carrying Toys / Plushies In Public? ☆

as an autistic person that struggles with social anxiety, taking my comfort plushies with me always helps me be more comfortable.

it's not wrong to have comfort items, and we shouldn't be shamed for carrying them around!

People straight up do not realize that part of the reason manufacturing is not returning to the United States in massive waves is because we have things like “OSHA” and “environmental laws” and “minimum wages.”

It’s not even just about fair wages. It’s literally about the fact that you can’t dump industrial waste in a river here anymore.

Our cheap goods are so cheap because South American and Asians environments are being destroyed so you can buy a $40 pair of shoes every 3 months.

Cutting granite countertops has lead to a rapid increase in silicosis in the lungs out in California. All the working men and women in my family have died from pulmonary fibrosis. They were carpet layers, Post office workers, floor tilers. Staying safe in manufacturing jobs is annoying but also very, very expensive. Real manufacturing factories belch smoke and dust and grime that causes asthma and birth defects in surrounding communities. Everyone wants their manufacturing jobs back until they realize their kids are living directly under the Asthma Plant.

There will come a time when the workers in these countries rise up and demand better and things will start to even out, but if you want to honestly “do your part,” you gotta stop buying cheap shit for no reason.

Not every event needs to be celebrate with a baseball cap or a coozie or a t shirt or a keychain. Not every wall in the house has to have a picture or a cute phrase on it. The knickknacks are killing people.

Yes? Yes they should be? Your life-saving medication that you need in order to live for a condition you were born with should be given to you at no cost?
