“If you have time to be on social media, you also have time for…” “If you have time to watch Netflix, you also have time for…” Yeah, but do I have the energy for it? Do I have the emotional and mental capacity for it? Am I pain-free enough for it? Can I focus on it? Can I do it without leaving my bed? Can I safely do it without risk of (physically or emotionally) injuring myself by pushing past my boundaries?
i read this post about someone simply accepting their depression is not going to go away & instead of resenting themselves for never getting rid of it or trying to find so much energy to banish the sadness away or to be fully "healed" from it, they just focus on adding more happy things in their plate.
and that is something i can resonate with.
one day we’re going to be in our own apartment together, nestled together on our sofa, you fast asleep on my lap. and then i know i’ll be home
dandelions are magic. literally tiny suns in the grass that turn into the moon and then the stars when you blow on them. fucking insane.
“I choose gentleness… Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.”

I’ve been seeing so many posts about burnout relating to working/studying hard......but burnout from fighting mental illnesses, disabilities, and chronic conditions needs to be talked about more. When you struggle with these things, you fight so many invisible battles a day that you don’t even realize you’re burnt out. You don’t have to be studying or working or “oN tHe gRiNd” to be burnt out. Being strong every day is the most grueling and exhausting kind of work. Please know that you are valid, even if you can’t get up and work/study. You are having to learn a curriculum that school doesn’t teach, and I’m so proud of you <33
Here's a comic from last year that I posted to Autostraddle 💘
weird how nothing about u is like, too small or too dumb to know bc it all comes together to become YOU. sending your friend a picture of your favorite snack is saying something important whether u realize it or not. wheres that palahniuk quote
