The thing about this gif is that Bob and Joyce are literally right there!!! And Will doesn't even flinch!!! It's so subtle, Joyce and Bob would never have noticed it. Just so delicate. This is a version of Mike flirting. He just wants to be close to Will, and I think that's so beautiful.

We see more flirting in S4, however it's little moments like this in the earlier seasons that make this ship sail. S2 Byler is just ✨✨

I just read the most out of character-never-happening Byler fic but i am absolutely bawling my eyes out 😜

in s5 i bet any interaction between mike and will is going to be evidently much, much more gayer and noticeable to the other audience (cishets). this is BYLER'S season now and im guessing after that shoulder touch from the end of ep 9 (also to end a season only minutes after this scene is... very telling of what s5 is going to be focused on), this is confirming that mike and will's interactions throughout s4 have made them closer than before as mike reaches from his darkness to the beam of light will was basking in. s5 is going to be very gay!!!!! and im very excited!!!!!!!

I was thinking about the fact that the duffer brothers still wrote one of the most positive characters ever portrayed in the media.

Will Byers is good, sweet, wise, understanding, empathetic, selfless and very thoughtful, which is good because it is balanced by his emotionality.

He is therefore a creative artist. He definitely has some flaws, maybe he's jealous (of Mike), inclined to be a bit melodramatic but overall I think he's a wonderful character and the fact that he's gay is a positive addition to his character.

Sorry but I've never seen a character so well written and I can't think that the Duffers will miss the completion of his narrative arc right at the end. I don't want to think that. especially because before them we don't have many examples of well-written young gay characters, they are always stereotyped or characterized only by their sexual orientation and not by their personality .

the Duffers have created something new and beautiful from which everyone(writers and directors) will have to take an example. I hope they don't miss this opportunity!

at first i was like “if byler doesn’t get to be happy im never recovering” as a joke. i don’t think it’s a joke anymore

i feel like everyone under this tag has said this but i'm really going to miss this era we're in after stranger things ends :(( like it's not going to be the same because we know byler will be canon, so no one is going to be chaotically freaking out over new evidence or typing out ten-page-essays or making "i know what you are" jokes about mike :(( and like :((( it makes me so sad to think about
