Taylor started her countdown to this chapter release from the day that she announced the two bonus tracks being released digitally 1/8/21. Meaning this chapter came out 13 days after the bonus tracks.

For folklore she released the lakes digitally and then released 3 of the chapters 3 days after the previous. Meaning: the lakes digital release <3days> the escapism chapter <3days> the sleepless nights chapter <3days> the salt box house chapter. She then released the final chapter the yeah i showed up at your party chapter 26 days after the third chapter. Then 26 days after that she did the signed copies of folklore in local record stores rollout. 2+6=8

I dk if she’s going to follow the same theme this time around and release a new chapter every three days but we’ll see. I will note that the Grammys are 53 days away from today on 3/14. If taylor wanted to keep up the buzz and stay within her numerological 13 vibes she has room to release something 4 more times. Meaning 13 days from today then 13 days after that so on and so forth.

Lily’s Building

Lily’s building had a rooftop for hanging out.

In a photoshoot she did for Cass Bird and Telegraph magazine, they used Lily’s East Village neighborhood for the shoot, including up on the roof.

Karlie’s Building

Karlie’s two-story building had a garden, garden gate, and balcony but no rooftop to hang out on.

Joe’s Building

Articles report that Joe was living in Crouch End when he met Taylor. I don’t think his place had a rooftop to hang out on from photos of the area.

The Bridge

I’ve written about the “King of My Heart” lyrics in other posts, including the British, model, and wlw references, so let’s just look at the bridge here after the roof lyric.

“Drinking beer out of plastic cups”

Is this a reference to Taylor and Karlie at the Knicks game in 2014? Maybe. But the 2014 era doesn’t seem to match the rest of the song, especially since this line is after “my broken bones are mending.”

“Say you fancy me not fancy stuff”

Another British 🇬🇧 reference in a song with many British references. So this line could fit Lily or Joe.

The Making of a Song video was recorded in September 2016. The Nashville and LA scenes, including the rooftop lyric scene, were filmed September 19-21. (Link) The song appears to have been started in early September from the Cornelia Street scene at the beginning of the video and some people think it may have been started as early as August. All of this is before September 28.

I will make a more detailed post when I have a second, but I needed to get the bare bones of my theory out before Red (TV) comes out.

I don’t know much about Swiftgron and we’re all entitled to our own opinions. Don’t like this theory… keep moving. Leave hate on my page and I will “sting like a scorpion.” Deal? Deal.

Bear with me. It’s all a jumble in my head, but listen back and you’ll see I’m at least somewhat on the right track.

It all starts with ‘Enchanted’..

KK was 17 and T was 20 (almost makes me think Love Story could have been about her, too… but I digress).

My theory is that T and KK hit it off and she was maybe still with Liz Huett (who I feel like is the inspiration for ‘The 1’ (insert link to previous post here).

While I’m at it, I’m also certain Folklore & Evermore are their love story told out.

Cardigan: “chase two girls, lose ‘the 1.’” She was with Liz (“the 1”) and chased Karlie (aka Betty/Dorothea) after they met at the Tommy Hilfiger show, and they had a fling until things got messy (see Red Era fighting, realizing the other person is your one, and not reaching out until months later and you’ve both seen other people (cue Swiftgron & August).

After 10 months she shows up at Karlie’s door and they’re ‘Clean.’ No more animosity, no more holding back. They decide to be seen together, “show their truth one single time” (Kissgate) and decide they’re not ready for the war.

1989, Reputation, & Lover all SCREAM Karlie, and after listening back, I feel like Red does, too. I’m adding screenshots of my ‘notes’ and maybe someone else can unscramble this mess in my head.
