Dearest Diana, I hope you are well. I wanted to ask for a spell today. Specifically, I want to meet someone again. A quick crossing of our paths is all I need. I do not have a taglock. If it’s not too much to ask I would greatly appreciate it if it was not a ‚dream spell‘ as I have never had a single dream (or I simply can’t remember them. Ritual to Call Someone to You

This ritual only works if you have met the person previously. If sending them a text or giving them a call is something you can do easily, it will fail. It will only stir if your subconscious knows that this is the only solution available.

STEP 1: Summon their subconscious.

On a night when the moon is a waxing crescent, be alone where the floor is stone or wooden. Think of the person’s face as you light a white taper candle. Place it in front of you. Use the wax to make it stand up on the floor. Do not use a candlestick. That will block the light from reaching the person’s vibrations.

STEP 2: Recreate the environment.

Turn off all the other lights except for the candle’s. If natural or artificial light is coming in from a window, block it. Mimic your position when you first or last met this person. If you were standing then, do so again now. If you were sitting or lying down, then position yourself similarly.

STEP 3: Rewrite the interaction.

Take deep breaths to calm your mind. Then close your eyes and imagine your previous meeting. But this time, tweak it. If the person stormed out in anger, then this time around, imagine them calming down and staying with you. If the meeting was somehow cut short, this time, make it last for as long as you want.

STEP 4: Request their presence.

With your consciousness still in the imagined environment, tell the other person why you wish to meet again. No matter how shameful or embarrassing the reason may be, you need to be clear and honest. Telepathy rarely works when your thoughts are deceptive.

STEP 5: Send them on their way.

Imagine them leaving. If in your mind, you are in a bus station, see the bus arriving, and them getting on it. if you are in a bedroom, see them walking towards the door and closing it behind them. Whatever you do, do not leave the session without closure. You would be trapping their subconscious.

STEP 6: Wait for them to respond.

Open your eyes and blow out the candle. Do not use a snuffer. Your breath should extinguish the light, as a way to say goodbye. Then get on with your life. The person will reach out to you once they have had the time to digest the emotion-powered messages you sent their subconscious.

I read and understood your explanation of its impact, and I thank you for that. But what I mean is, the ascendant is not a planet, so what is the reason behind it?

THE FOUR ANGLES IN ASTROLOGY

Think of them as the North, South, East and West points of your natal chart.

The Ascendant is the East, where the Sun rises.

The Descendant is the West, where the Sun sets.

The Midheaven is the North, which is the highest point, where the Sun shines the brightest.

The Nadir is the South, which is the lowest point, where the Sun’s light is hidden.

If you are wondering why the Ascendant appears to be on the left instead of the right, that is only because a natal chart is projected ecliptically, based on the path of the Sun from our point of view on the Earth.

ASCENDANT

Out of the four, this is what matters most. In fact, in your entire natal chart, your Ascendant is second only to your Sun sign in importance.

Your Ascendant or Rising sign is the Zodiac sign that was ascending or rising on the Eastern horizon the moment you were born.

Because the East is where the Sun rises to start the day, this is where your chart begins – at your First House. That is why it is so important. Because the First House is about the self. It helps your Sun sign define who you are as a person. It acts as your Sun sign’s wingman, and sometimes, stunt double. It plays the primary supporting role.

DESCENDANT

Wherever your Ascendant is, your Descendant is right across from it. Your Descendant is the Zodiac sign that was descending on the Western horizon the moment you were born.

Because the West is where the Sun sets, ushering in the darkness, your Descendant is said to be all the things that you are not, but secretly wish to be. That is why it syncs with the Seventh House of Others. But that is not always true. If your Sun sign and your Descendant are the same, then your Descendant is who you are exactly.

This is why the strength of influence matters: If you interpret all the facets of your chart together, they will begin to contradict each other. When the more important parts of your chart go against the minor ones, feel free to ignore the latter.

MIDHEAVEN

This is also called the MC, short for Medium Coeli, literally: “middle of the sky”. Your Midheaven is the Zodiac sign that was, well, in the middle of the sky, when you were born. It was at the noon position, where the Sun is at its highest.

Because it is at the top, your Midheaven is said to be the top or best reputation that you wish to have. Which is also why the Midheaven syncs with the Tenth House of Career and Honor.

As with the Descendant, you may find that your Midheaven does not resonate with you. For example, when you embody your Sun sign strongly, then all that you want to be seen as is the best version of it. So if your Midheaven contradicts your chart’s stronger facets, feel free to ignore it.

NADIR

Wherever your Midheaven is, your Nadir is at the opposite. It is also called the IC, short for Imum Coeli, literally: “bottom of the sky”. Your Nadir is the Zodiac sign that was below the horizon when you were born. It was at the midnight position, where the Sun is invisible.

Because it is at the bottom, where it is hidden, your Nadir is said to be who you truly are when you are alone. The no-pretenses version of yourself. That is why it syncs with the Fourth House of Home. Because you are your truest self when you feel at home.

As with your Descendant and Midheaven, your Nadir may not resonate with you. Because out of the four angles, only the Ascendant is of prime importance. If your Nadir contradicts who you feel you really are, then do not let it change that.

Planets on the Angles

If a planet lands on any of these four, simply read it as you would a House placement. Jupiter on the Nadir is the same as Jupiter in the Fourth House, just as Mars in Ascendant is the same as Mars in the First House.

How to Fight Your Fear of the Occult

If you do not consider yourself a witch, then I do not know how to help you. Because I have witnessed countless non-witches be outrageously brave, and still get possessed, haunted or attacked by supernatural beings.

But if you think of yourself as a witch, then all you have to do is truly learn what that word means.

A witch is a mortal touched by magic.

Unlike the other humans in your midst, you can do incredible things. See beyond what the human eye can see... Hear unspoken words, feel unexpressed emotions, taste what isn’t there, sense what hasn’t happened yet... Bend the laws of nature and defy those of gravity.

One way or another, being a witch makes you special.

For this reason, you are a citizen of many realms. This physical one we live in is just one of them. The worlds of entities, immortals, ghosts, the undead, unborn souls… you belong to all of them.

Things that go bump in the night are just your fellow citizens inviting you to visit. These beings can help you hone your powers. If you are kind to them, they will grant you favors. Cinderella herself will be jealous of your own godmothers.

But being a witch is a two-way street. The powers that be granted you blessings so that you can share them with those in need.

Sometimes, the ghost who you think wants to kill you, only wants to tell you who killed them. So that there can be some closure for their grieving parents.

Which is why as a witch, it is best not to ignore any call. Heeding it can either grant you treasure, or allow you to give some to another.

HOW TO BECOME A WITCH

Witches could already be practicing for decades, and still, every day, they keep learning new things. That is how wide-ranging and wonderful this path is.

But when taking your first steps, there is no need to be overwhelmed. For now, start with these. Forget everything else.

STEP 1: Look within.

Just because Aphrodite is trending on Twitter does not mean you should worship her. And just because crystals look good on Instagram does not mean you should start your own collection. Your practice should be tailored to your soul, not to the posts on your dashboard.

So go to Café Astrology and enter your birthdate. It will calculate your natal chart, which is basically the manual to your life. It lets you know your strengths and weaknesses so you can let the former make up for the latter. This website not only shows you the details, it also explains what they mean.

STEP 2: Look up.

Now that you have a better knowing of yourself, look beyond your existence. Who do you think made you?

Investigate your lineage as much as you can. Was your family always Christian? Jewish? Atheist? Or did your ancestors have a more traditional belief? Having an inherent connection to the old gods means inviting them into your life will be much easier. If you feel a strong affinity with the Greco-Roman gods particularly, use your natal chart to confirm your theory.

But if after much meditation, you find yourself believing that the source is not a divinity, but the cosmos as a whole, then feel free to embrace that energy.

STEP 3: Look closely.

Our eyes can only see what is right in front of us. Divination allows us to see beyond that, and look into the forgotten past… the hidden present… and the future in all its glory.

Tarot is one of the richest divination systems in existence. Here is how you can learn it in one day. But if you feel that it is not for you, there are many alternatives too. Do you enjoy meditating? You might fall in love with scrying.

STEP 4: Look out.

Now that you know who you really are… where your faith truly lies… how to see beyond the obvious… and how to tweak reality to make life easier… you are officially a practitioner.

How to ALWAYS Pick the Right Card ✨

I too used to waste a lot of energy watching and reading Pick a Cards that were irrelevant to me.

But over time, no matter how general and just-for-fun these readings on YouTube and tumblr are… I began getting extremely accurate messages. They would not only resonate in the present, but the predictions would come true too.

I realized that this is what I have been doing.

1) When picking from different cards

If a reader gives you options where Pile 1 is a different card or deck from Pile 2 and Pile 3… pause and take time to look at each pile one by one. Wait for whichever one sparks a memory. Maybe the pattern on Pile 2′s card looks like a tablecloth from your childhood home. That pile contains your message.

2) When picking from crystals, charms or other markers

Same thing. Take the time to look at each crystal or marker. Wait for whichever one sparks a memory in you. Maybe the crystal on top of Pile 4 looks like the candy your grandmother would give you each time you visited. That pile will have your message.

3) When picking from the same cards

When a reader uses the same deck for all piles, then labels them with numbers, ignore the numbers. Do the same thing. Look at each pile. And wait for one to spark a memory. Maybe as you shift your gaze from Pile 2 to Pile 3, you will realize that the cards’ pattern looks like the curtains at your first apartment. Pile 3 will contain your message.

But what if they all spark a memory?

One time, a crystal looked like the tiles at my bathroom, and another looked like a necklace I had as a kid. So I chose the one that sparked the stronger memory. When I remembered my bathroom tiles, they were just that — tiles. But when I remembered my necklace, I even smelled the cologne I was wearing back then.

But what if none sparks a memory?

It only means you have to gaze at your choices for a little while longer until one does. It will, I promise.

One last thing…

When you first start doing this, your memories may not be vivid enough yet. Just do it anyway. No matter how weak or short a memory, the fact that it was sparked at all means you have a connection with that pile of cards. And then as you keep doing it, your memories will get stronger. Actually, it is the other way around.

The knowledge passed down to us by our ancestors predates the mass-produced European grimoires you may have encountered.

Since these grimoires were written down by paid copyists who knew nothing of the occult, they are replete with misspellings, misuses and misinformation, such as the deliberate exaggeration of the origins of the rituals, of the exoticness of the spell ingredients, and of the gore involved in witchcraft. This was done for marketing and sales purposes.

Because my family knows the original uses of these incantations and orisons, it is easy for us to adapt them to 21st-century-user-friendly rituals.

How to Consecrate Tools for Spellwork

To consecrate an object means to make it sacred, in order to dedicate it to a higher purpose than what it is mundanely used for.

For example, Catholic priests consecrate bread and wine during mass to become the body and blood of Christ.

Pagans consecrate spell tools and ingredients through similar rituals.

We do it by offering the object to our deity on a special occasion: a full moon… the god’s feast day… at the witching hour… Each faith or coven would have different customs and requirements.

If you are a first-generation witch or a solo practitioner, then you decide how to consecrate your own tools. As long as you do it in the most respectful way in line with your sacred truths.

Animals are merely vessels for familiars.

By itself, no animal has supernatural powers.

The word familiar means intimate or personal. Familiars are entities, ghosts, spirits and other supernatural beings who share in the intimate and personal nature of your practice.

Your familiar is likely to be a demon who is tied to your bloodline, a fairy who resides in your garden, a ghost of someone who used to live inside your house, or the spirit of one of your ancestors.

Or, to use a phrase that New Agers will understand, your familiar is your spirit guide possessing your pet.

Demons, fairies and other entities are like humans in that they have their own busy lives. Only when they sense you performing a spell could they choose to take over your pet and offer their help.

Similarly, ghosts are busy reliving their past life to always be around. They will only possess your pet when they sense supernatural activity in the house. Unlike entities, they prefer to just watch quietly.

Ancestors are far more complex. Most of them are alive today in a new reincarnation. It is their higher self who comes to the aid of their descendants. In doing this, sometimes they choose to become a familiar. There are times when they merely observe, and times when they contribute.

When a ritual is done, they leave the animal. At such moments, these animals can no longer be considered familiars. That is why you will see them doing undignified things (i.e., normal animal behavior) not aligned with the demeanor of occult beings.

A familiar chooses to become one for many reasons. Some entities do because they like helping humans. Some ghosts do because they are simply curious. Ancestors would only do this when they think a witch is weak and needs assistance.

Familiars choose to take over animals because their presence as their true selves could interfere during spells. Confining themselves to a living body prevents them from emitting too much energy.

Judgement: “You will feel guilty and atone for your sins.”

When someone hurt you unfairly

Justice: “They are about to get what they deserve.”

Judgement: “This ordeal was meant to awaken your power.”

When you are asking about a potential lover

Justice: “A Libra is coming. Someone lovely and graceful.”

The fact that people think the weak are the strong ones

Any witch who is going through a spiritual awakening may have a hard time coping. Because one moment, life is normal. The next, it feels like you are in a horror or a psychological thriller.

But the best of us survive without a scratch. And then we learn to accept our new “normal”. We move forward, attuned to our more powerful selves.

And yet I have read countless accounts of those who failed to attune... being hailed as powerful empaths. Those who cry in public for no reason. Those who wake up in the middle of the night shaking. Those who are overwhelmed by the emotions around them.

They are those who failed to adjust to their new reality. They should not be hailed or admired. They should be helped and advised. Their body is not accepting their new identity. Their conscious self is rejecting their higher self’s authority.

HOW A GOD BECOMES YOUR PARENT: SAMPLE NATAL CHART

PART 1: Finding Your Dominant Zodiac Sign

In the above chart, anyone will notice that Taurus appears the most. There are four planets in it: the Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Who rules Taurus? Venus. So Venus gets 4 points. Plus 1 more, because the Sun is double. Venus gets 5 points.

One will also notice that Aries appears twice. Because there are two planets in it: Mercury and Venus. Who rules Aries? Mars. Mars gets 2 points.

Aquarius too appears twice. The two planets in it are Uranus and Neptune. Who rules Aquarius? Uranus. Uranus gets 2 points.

A third Zodiac sign appears twice. Sagittarius. The two planets in it are the Moon and Pluto. Who rules Sagittarius? Jupiter. Jupiter gets 2 points.

All the 10 planets have been covered. The North Node, Chiron and MC are not planets. They do not matter. They should not be counted.

So what is left? The Ascendant, which is very important. Where is the Ascendant? In Libra. Who rules Libra? Venus. That is 1 more point for Venus. And another, because like the Sun, the Ascendant is double. Venus gets 2 points.

If we combine Venus’ 5 points as Taurus and her 2 points as Libra, then all in all, Venus gets 7 points.

Obviously, 7 is more than 2. So Venus defeats Mars, Uranus and Jupiter in Part 1. The Goddess of Love and Beauty could very well be your divine parent. But we are not done yet.

PART 2: Finding Your Dominant House

Take one look, and you will see that out of the twelve Houses, only five contain planets. So there are only five contenders.

Take another look, and you will see that one of these Houses contains as many as three planets. The 7th House. It has the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn. Who rules the 7th House? Venus in Libra. Venus gets 3 points. Not 4. Because in Part 2, the Sun is no longer counted twice.

What are the other Houses with planets?

The 2nd House. It has the Moon and Pluto. Who rules the 2nd House? Venus in Taurus. Venus gets 2 points.

The 4th House. It has Uranus and Neptune. Who rules the 4th House? The Moon, which is the domain of Diana. Diana gets 2 points.

The 6th House. It has Mercury and Venus. Who rules the 6th House? Mercury in Virgo. Mercury gets 2 points.

The 8th House. It has Mars. Who rules the 8th House? Pluto. Pluto gets 1 point.

All the 10 planets have been covered. Chiron and the North Node are not planets. They do not matter. They should not be counted.

If we combine Venus’ 3 points in the 7th House and her 2 points in the 2nd House, then all in all, Venus gets 5 points.

Obviously, 5 is more than 2 or 1. So Venus defeats Diana, Mercury and Pluto in Part 2.

The Goddess of Love and Beauty dominates your Zodiac signs with 7 points and your Houses with 5 points. Overall, she has 12 points. Venus is therefore your sole divine parent. There is no doubt about it. You can stop reading, if you wish.

PART 3: Figuring Out the What Ifs

What if Venus dominates the Zodiac signs but Pluto dominates the Houses?

Then compare Venus’ and Pluto’s points. If Venus has a total of 10 points, and Pluto has a total of 5, well, 10 is more than 5. Venus is still your sole divine parent.

What if it is a tie?

If Venus has a total of 8 points, and Pluto also has 8, then you have two divine parents. Congrats.

What if it is close, but not a tie?

If Venus has a total of 9 points and Pluto has a total of 7, then you still have two divine parents. Because a difference of 2 is too little. But 3 is too much.

What if another planet ties my second parent? Does that mean I have three divine parents?

No. If Pluto and Saturn are tied in second place, then stop looking at your chart, and start looking within. Your identity... your temperament... your tendencies... your attitude... your behavior... Is it Pluto or Saturn who reflects them? Only you can tell. If you answered Pluto, then along with Venus, he is your divine parent. Saturn would still strongly influence your life, but if you call upon him, do not be surprised if he ignores you. Your connection is not that strong.

What if I have no clear dominant planet? What if three planets are tied to begin with?

If Venus gets a total of 6 points, and so do Pluto and Saturn, you still do not have three divine parents. In fact, you have no divine parent at all. Your chart is what my family calls lukewarm. On the negative side, if you call upon the three, none of them may respond. On the positive side, your emotional and mental state are likely to be balanced. Wands are your passions.            

The Ace of Wands could mean finding a new hobby, like painting or hiking. The Two of Wands could mean planning the renovation of your home, if interior design or woodworking is among your passions.

Traditional Ritual for the Halloween Period

Whether you call it Halloween, Day of the Dead, or All Hallows’ Eve, the end of October to the start of November is a time dedicated to remembering the departed: the saints, the martyrs, our ancestors and dearly beloved.

On these days, mortals collectively reach out to the other side, thinning the veil, and allowing the dead to come back for a visit.

Whatever it is you plan to cast – a wish spell, a protection spell, or a malicious one – invoke the dead, so they can power it, guaranteeing its effectiveness.

The day before you perform the above, leave a wicker basket of presents by the true north wall of the cemetery nearest your home.

Fill it with food, trinkets, coins. Whatever little luxuries you have in mind. But its most important content should be a sacrifice. An object you would have a difficult time living without. Something you could not easily replace. Its priceless value could be sentimental or monetary. Give anything less, and your call will be unheeded.

The Differences Among Tarot’s Tens

The number 10 is the biggest in the Minor Arcana. Therefore:

The Ten of Wands is the biggest burden you can have.

The Ten of Cups is the biggest happiness you can feel.

The Ten of Swords is the biggest pain you can endure.

The Ten of Pentacles is the biggest abundance you can enjoy.

TEN OF WANDS

Main Meaning: Burden. Either in the sense of having too many tasks to accomplish for the day, or too many problems in life to deal with.

Positive Meaning: Being burdened by a harvest. First world problems. Like having too much money that you do not know where to put it all.

TEN OF CUPS

Main Meaning: Happiness. The kind you get from knowing there is a special someone or an entire loving family you can share your joys and sorrows with.

Negative Meaning: Nothing. The Ten of Cups at its worst only means that your fairy tale ending is delayed. In divine timing, it will arrive.

See the matching dates. 127 could be December 7th or July 12th. Mark both on your calendar. Something major could happen then.

Check if you know anyone whose address or license plate number has 127 in it. They could play an important role in the coming days.
