Whenever I have a ton of assignments coming up first thing I do is pick up a new book completely unrelated to all of my work

When your method of flirting is talking about the viability of murder plots and conspiracy theories
A reminder that doing good is a risk worth taking. Except with rides and other things that may get you kidnapped or killed. Donations and such are always good though
I was in line at Aldi and this girl with two toddlers in front of me had her card declined and she looked so fucking sad and said âlet me call my husband real quickâ and it was only 18 dollars, so I just paid for it, and she was very sweet and then as she walked off, the lady behind me said `âYou know that was probably a scam, right?â and like, even if it was, like what a sad fucking scam, right? 18 dollars at the Aldi. If youâre âscammingâ me for some Tyson chicken and apple juice and cauliflower, then just take my fucking money.Â
âA scamâ people are fucking wild. Â

Movie covers are the worst
no one wants the movie cover ever
Nobody can help but love lil baby spidey. He's doing his best. While the avengers casually fuck up and make murder bots and supervillains. People probably have varying opinions on different avengers tho.
the two previous movie series of Spider-Man always had it that Spidey was a Big Hit with the citizens of nyc in spite of the negative press/police departments actively hunting him down but we havenât really seen anything like that in the mcu past Peterâs classmates simply being aware that Spider-Man is a hero who exists, like we didnât see any slandering articles or angry officers which is WEIRD considering the canonical climate about superheros in the mcu right now so likeâŠ.I really hope it carries over into this third series because frankly I love the idea of everyone in a post-accords world in constant debate about superheroes like âshould they be held accountable for casualtiesâ and âdoes it make sense to give all this power to just a few people and force them to make potentially catastrophic situationsâ and âdo we even truly Need superheroesâ like any and all debate they can think of but at the same time, all the citizens in New York are collectively like âYeahâŠ.but weâre gonna leave the Spider-Boy out of thisâŠ.he just wants to help outâŠ.heâs doing his Best..â lmao
People working for Amazon have written to the companyâs CEO, Jeff Bezos, to protest the sale of facial recognition tools and other technology to police departments and government agencies.
The workers cite the use of Amazon technology by the US Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, which have been criticised for enforcing Donald Trumpâs âzero toleranceâ policy, which has seen parents separated from their childrenat the US border.
âAs ethically concerned Amazonians, we demand a choice in what we build, and a say in how it is used,â the letter states. âWe learn from history, and we understand how IBMâs systems were employed in the 1940s to help Hitler.
âIBM did not take responsibility then, and by the time their role was understood, it was too late.
âWe will not let that happen again. The time to act is now.â
Holocaust experts claim IBMâs German subsidiary directly supplied the Nazis with technology which assisted the operation of concentration camps at Auschwitz and Treblinka.
In their letter to Mr Bezos, the Amazon workers said they would ârefuse to build the platformâ which powers ICE, or any technology used to violate human rights.
Listing three demands, the workers called on the CEO to stop selling the technology to law enforcement, stop providing infrastructure to partners which enable ICE, and implement stronger transparency measures.
âOur company should not be in the surveillance business; we should not be in the policing business; we should not be in the business of supporting those who monitor and oppress marginalized populations,â the letter concludes.

Keeping the Tigers entertained
Good lord he warned them. I had wondered why the movie was so bad when rick riordan is so cool and the books are so cool. Clearly they just ignored everything he said
Rick Riordan finally snapped and released emails he sent to The Lightning Thief movie makersâŠ.
I canât stop laughing
A mix of nerdy love for things, political musings, and rants.
