I’ve seen a lot of people saying to stop claiming Kanej is toxic because of the “I will have you without armour” line.
I’ve also seen a lot of people screaming into the void asking people to stop romanticising the “Investment” line.
What I haven’t seen is people claiming Kanej is toxic or people romanticising the “Investment” line.

i know it's the smell of festering carrion that draws them and not death itself, but i think it'd be fun if crows (and other corvidae) could sense ghosts, even unseen. just imagine the surreal horror of watching a flock of dark wings circling a complete void of presence.

He reminds me of a lumberjack. Idk if his design was like that intentionally but ya
Can I get a smol hint as to how to decode the hidden message in the KB #1 video? I can see hints of Morse code in a spectrogram, but I'm having difficulty solving it. The only part of it I've managed to get clearly is "ISEE" from the first segment before the first break in the text.
I’m not girl. Can I still hang

I have read (and re-read) the Six of Crows duology.
I have not read a single other book from the Grishaverse.
Every time someone posts something about the other books, my immediate reaction is almost always, “Wait, WHAT happens????”
That one tweet that’s like “oh that’s gore… that’s gore of my comfort character” but in the absolutely most positive sense u can imagine, with rainbows and dolphins in the sky etc.
“Dirtyhands and the Wraith”

woah this character is so cool i wish they were covered in blood their whole body trembling with a look of absolute horror on their face as theyre struggling to breathe in panic
“Why do you put stickers on everything lmao you’re tanking the resale value”
What I want to say: The idea that making something look like it’s distinctly “yours” is a bad idea is inherently capitalistic, because it expects some sort of profit in the end which said action would threaten. Instead of buying something for the sake of having it and enjoying it, and owning it to the point it becomes obvious it is, in fact, yours, you’re expected to sacrifice the immense joy of individualising every part of your life for the sake of a potential amount of money, which in the end you usually don’t even get, which is the most capitalistic thing about the whole idea. It also posits the assumption that you will dispose of the thing you own before it’s broken, a deep part of consumerism, and simply the fact that uniformity is the desired end goal makes this a staple idea of a capitalist society.
What I actually say: idk it’s pretty lol
Goncharov (1973)
Oh don’t mind me im just doing some cinematography art studies of my favourite Katya moments ~
Main cast are Goncharov himself, his wife Katya (née Michailov), and Andrey
One side character is named Mario Ambrosini. He is described as a “sad boi” and is involved in gambling.
Set in Naples and involving a drug ring/mafia. The plot seems to involve Russian organized crime attempting to get a foothold in Italy.
There is a Boat Scene. Katya survives via resourcefulness.
Andrey and Goncharov have a substantial amount of homoeroticism. Andrey also has an internet in Katya. This forms a true love triangle.
At some point, Katya threatens to shoot Goncharov. This is framed as a Girlboss Moment.
There is also a Beer Bottle Scene.
Katya fakes her death.

I think in the same way there's a 90/10 rule with horror and comedy (horror works best when it's 90% horror and 10% comedy and vice versa) there's a 90/10 rule for some relationships in fiction that's like. Wholesome and fucked up. A good friendship is at its most compelling when it's also 10% a bit fucked up. Fucked up relationship is at its most compelling when there's at least 10% of something actually sweet and substantive within. Do you get me

“This modern art sucks, I could do that”
“Yea but you didn’t lmao”
Congrats, you missed the fucking point.
Hot take: Hater culture is just cringe culture in a different trench coat.
“I love being a hater u3u” No you love being a pedantic little shit who takes the enjoyment out of everything and makes people feel bad for liking anything.
What makes “being a hater” so fucking annoying isn’t even the negativity, it’s that it makes everything fucking boring. What, something has to be flawless to be good? Get fucked. I hate that kind of mindset, that just because something has its issues that it’s fine to dismiss everything it does right. Chronic “Hating” strips everything of its individuality and demands conformity, because how dare this thing be something I don’t enjoy! How dare there be flaws!
And don’t even get me started on how half of the “flaws” they point out aren’t even fucking flaws, and are just not conventional.
It’s also fucking annoying how this kind of mindset crawled into fandom spaces. That’s also why, in my opinion, it got this rebrand, because “cringe” in itself is kind of a fandom-esque term. It’s just a bunch of bitter idiots getting lost and finding themselves in fandom spaces somehow, only to point at everything and going “Oh my GOD, do you UNIRONICALLY like that??”
It’s the same shit over again, where something is only “allowed” to be enjoyed through like, seven layers of irony. It’s pathetic. Fuckos, it’s fine to acknowledge that something has flaws and still like it. At least fucking stand for it.
I didn’t want to acknowledge how fandom in general has deteriorated because of these insecure, bitter idiots invading spaces made for enjoying something unconventional safely, but fuck, I miss the old times. They weren’t fucking perfect, but at least there wasn’t some whiny rat around every corner screeching about how liking something is bad unless you do it at a mental and emotional distance.
Fuck haters. Fuck cringe culture. Fuck all the people who say shit like “love being a hater uwu” and “being bullying back”. Sort out your own fucking issues. Grow up.
