i think it's time accept that relationships do me more harm than good and just focus on friendships and communities
it doesn’t have to be good it just has to be done
*feels my body get anxious for no reason* what is it boy, what do you see?
“the algorithm only shows us _____” so stop looking at the algorithm. you don't need it. go to a thrift store and flip through some magazines from the 1980s. go read a random book that’s no longer in print on the internet archive. go to a museum and walk around until you see an artwork you don’t recognize. go get a cookbook from the library and make a recipe you've never tried. go listen to the radio. go talk to people in real life. go write a poem or a song and don't show anybody. go take a walk. you are not confined to your online content feed. you never have been!!!!!!!

I have a lot of creative energy, yet I sit mindlessly scrolling through lobotomizing Instagram reels and TikToks. I've thought countless times about what to do about my restlessness, but I stay stagnant. I want to make something personal and honest with all of my favorite things. I worry if what I make will be enough for me, I doubt myself a lot but my contentment is getting harder to come by and I think I just need to do it
The way a Bachelors degree is the equivalent to a written recommendation from a former store manager at a Circuit City now. Just nuke us already fuck.
i think i have arrived at a point in my life where i am finally acknowledging that i have to unlearn this type of thinking for the sake of my own sanity.
do not let anybody convince you that the world was built for two. do not ever ever buy into the idea that once you’re married or once you’re in a committed and long term relationship with somebody, that’s all you need to get by in life. do not let anyone convince you that you’re supposed to go at it alone either. do not let anybody make you believe that you’re better off alone. it’s no way to live. the world was built for communities full of love and compassion and the desire to extend oneself for the wellbeing of another. it is in your best interest and humanity’s best interest to learn how to be in communities again. do not let them take away from you what makes life transcendental and special.
