Right now I'm writing a Sunny x Severance cross-over fanfic which started out as just a jokey silly idea, but has now evolved into a multi-chapter story with so many plotlines and details and references to both shows that it's sometimes hard to keep up :DD And I have so many more Sunny cross-over fic ideas after I'm done with this aafshffjggj the grind never stops,,,

Recently I also rewatched TGWDLM and I realised how similar Ted and Mac are to each other,,, they're both religious, they both do karate type moves, they both quote Borat and they're both assholes asdsyfhgh

I don't know what the point of this post is, I'm just haunted by the gang no matter how hard I try to get into other pieces of media adfdyfyghj,,, not that I'm complaining, of course :>

sunny is my favourite show ever. it’s the worst thing i’ve ever watched. it’s woke. it’s problematic. the characters are completely irredeemable horrible people. the characters are multilayered and complex and misunderstood and even though they’re bad people they can still have good qualities and intentions. they’re evil and you shouldn’t ever relate to them otherwise there’s something wrong with you. every human has bad qualities and something wrong with them and its natural to see any part of yourself reflected in fictional characters. you shouldn’t sympathise with them. the characters have deliberately emotional moments in the show and trauma that deeply affected who they are which should make you feel sorry for them. macdennis is canon. macdennis isn’t canon. my interpretations of the show are delusional and completely off the mark of what the show actually is. i literally understand the show on such a deep level. its hilarious. its tragic. you’re crazy if you try to analyse the peepee poopoo show beyond surface level jokes. the show has a lot of details intended to be critically analysed. sunny is my entire personality. being into sunny goes against everything else about me as a person. i love rcg. i hate rcg. sunny ruined my life. sunny was once the only thing keeping me going. i hate sunny. i love sunny. etc etc etc

Joey's Ted headcanons

Ted genuinely loves Pete

Hes' very romantic, but he puts on a facade of a bullshit guy cause he wants to seem cool

He does think Paul is his best friend

Ted's one of those guys who doesn't wear pants at home, he's just in boxers

He does wear a tie tho, in case he needs to go out or have a zoom meeting

He uses excessive amount of cologne

Ted constantly goes on dates. Most women in Hatchetfield have "gone on a date" with him, but they last 5 minutes cause how much of a terrible guy Ted is

Lot of people know him in town and think he's a creep

All his deaths need to be embarrassing

Always orders take-out, never cooks for himself

He takes Pete out constantly and tries to be cool in front of him, but Pete is embarrassed by him, but still thinks he's cool (side note is that Joey'd like a NMT episode of Bill and Alice hanging out and Ted and Pete hanging out)

Ted loves dogs and maybe has a dog at home we don't know about

i just think it’s so brilliant that the show about emotionally stunted codependent losers is also the longest running live action american sitcom.

i don’t think i’ll ever be able to articulate this fully but. they could have very easily made something short and cynical. something strictly satirical. something like veep, or arrested development, which, don’t get me wrong, are both shows i love, but they are shows where the audience just laughs at the main characters’ misery. and yeah, most of it is that. most of it is traumatized kids who aren’t kids anymore drinking themselves to death in a dive bar. but it’s also mac coming out to his dad after so many years of shame and dennis finally getting something for valentine’s day and dee telling a joke that actually lands and charlie alone in the rain until he isn’t and all of them walking off of that mountain together with their arms wrapped around each other. sometimes it’s that. but you only notice those brief, saccharine moments when you’ve been watching something long enough — living with something long enough — to do so, and suddenly you’re crying on the couch because dennis bought mac a dog even though dennis hates dogs. i would take something breathing, something with empathy over something bitingly satirical and efficient and short any day of the week.

there is probably nothing in that crate outside, but hey, let’s look in it anyway. there’s a stain on this wall and it looks like a miracle.
