hey netizens! i'm not sure how many people are aware, but youtube's been slowly rolling out a new anti-adblock policy that can't be bypassed with the usual software like uBlock Origin and Pi-Hole out of the gate
BUT, if you're a uBlock Origin user (or use an adblocker with a similar cosmetics modifier), you can add these commands in the uBlock dashboard to get rid of it!
youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0) youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, []) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.hasAllowedInstreamAd, true)

Dominika Wilk: "Connor Kenway—a real thorn in the British side during the Revolutionary War. He defended George Washington, eliminated some of the Patriots’ greatest enemies, and helped pave the way for the birth of the United States."
Hacker: "Sounds like a hero."
Man, I still can't get over that they actually acknowledged our boy as a hero in AC Nexus. And it's just...ugh. I feel that so much. It’s wild how one line—“Sounds like a hero”— can land like a punch to the chest when you've been carrying that love for him for so long. It’s like the franchise finally saw him the way some of us always did. Not as just another assassin, not as some angry young man, but as someone who sacrificed, who stood firm even when it cost him everything.
It’s the kind of line that doesn’t just validate the character—it validates you as a fan. Like, yes, you were right to see the hero in him all along. You weren’t imagining his quiet strength or the tragedy of his journey. The series looked back and said, “Yeah. He mattered.”

If you have achieved something, please remember to observe a mandatory period of basking in the warm glow of your achievement like a lizard on a stone, lest you teach your brain that effort is futile, actually, because it didn't get to enjoy its happy chemicals, so, naturally, nothing good ever comes of trying. (And no, avoiding punishment is not a reward!)
I recommend, like, 5% of basking time in relation to whatever time you invested into achieving the thing minimum. And if you can't make your own bask, friend-brought is fine (= tell your friends!).
If you are living right now in 2023 and are still a big fan of LOTR please reblog bro where are my fellow Tolkienites (Tolkieneers?)
SITH! AHSOKA & ANAKIN SKYWALKER | WHAT IF? STAR WARS BY ME. "YOU FAILED ME! DO YOU KNOW...WHAT I'VE BECOME?" "I GAVE YOU A CHOICE". This is not dark against light. This is more personal. It's not even master against apprentice. It's more than that. It's brother against sister. It's Anakin against Ahsoka. Face to face.
so if “optimus prime” means “best first” and “megatron” means “large instrument” the entire transformers franchise revolves around the never-ending battle of epic proportions between Awesome #1 and Massive Tool
