It's time already align already

So funny that I was right even though I never know for sure but I do because I'm awesome and a great guesser like always. Very intuitive.

Anyway. So now before the album I want to list all that I think that should happen because I'm certain it's not done yet so things are still malleable

So firstly they should have a black cast in the music video and latino and southeast asian. Honestly it's time for him to have a diverse theme for once, like it just needs to happen like firstly he's doing afrobeats and any lack of authenticity will not be well received secondly the adult swim was great like it could be a whole drama

I love old film styles like this. I know it's to much to ask but imagine a lifetime esque movie from his childhood to adulthood to pair with this album like that would be perfect.

Okay they need to have a companion drama inside the music video

I'm thinking a one to 2 minute talking scene with whatever girl or guy or whatever he is talking to in the video, doesn't have to be female just we need a cast and something real. Almost like a skit so that we know the music video is about something more than just selling records it needs to tell a story.

Thriller was 10 minutes and it changed music videos and pop music. He needs to do something like that. Or even better like a mini web drama to pair with the album I'm hoping they do that or hey even a web comic. Like just something to continue the story so we can have some variety.

Like some behind the scenes for adult swim, maybe a few talking scenes and learning the situation and culture.

I also think he should pair this comeback with a movie or a drama.

So for the music video I'm hoping it's extremely diverse both in style dress, cast and theme. I think we can take everything a step farther he's obsessed with beyonce so clearly he's going for the alien superstar thing which is fine but I think he should branch out and go the extra mile. A real duet, or even like a interpretive dance something different.

Also they can have a unique or original setting like maybe an abandoned mall, or a dessert storm, or a mexican corner for a street dance scene. Just something new fresh and hot, no more cold dead boring techno oriental nonsense. It worked in 2020 when standards were deceased for art but now he needs light in his work real light not just green screens.

We need at least 4 to 5 afrobeats

the rest can be like journals type songs it doesn't have to be heavy it can be light rnb. But no more white boy pop he just can't carry that properly.

This is a bit wild but like........the previous albums I didn't put much out there but what I did put out happened so maybe just go insane and shoot for the stars and land on the moon. A feature would be nice to, like maybe someone like ama lou or another low key but respectable indie artist it would bring it up a notch and make it so different from what other artist in his field do, it's the type of thing that gets attention from outside traditional fandom circles.

Then there's the issue of despite nearly every kpop ff taking place in america there's only korean characters and no discussion of like any wider array of topics like ever. Like stuff do be happening in america. I just feel like fanfics fell off when people stopped writing like they were writing real people on a real planet. It may be a side effect that kpop became so closed off and cult like over the years. Idols being kept in boxes only interacting with select groups of people. It made fans not want to even think of idols in real life situations. I truly believe if exo was on tmz in some mess some people actually might pass out. Sm kept them in a bubble. Most of kpop is in a bubble. It makes the fans more emotionally connected but also they seriously don't think they have autonomy. Like fans are okay with idol interactions but if somebody saw an idol dancing in a club with somebody w video evidence like the facade would be shattered. Nobody would say it but many would not like that person anymore. I think its expressed in the ff. Like in reality kai's very feminine, he is there's nothing wrong with that. He has been since childhood. But depending on who he is in a fan's perception. Whether he's the dominant part of a ship or in a het context or a cute tw!nk like there's always authenticity missing when people write him. Like whole parts of his character are missing.

But I've seen many say they didn't like the show simply because he was with a girl and by proxy that meant it was cliche and played out not even bothering to watch the entire show. Which is an insult to kji because all his characters were unique and complex he never wanted to play just a generic lead which is why he turned down so many roles. In miracle we met he played an angel but not only that but also a sort of romantic interest to an older non traditional female lead character. Sadly because of traditional views the relationship wasn't looked at as closely as it would have been if the actress was younger and closer to the beauty standards. If a show isn't pushing or hitting people over the head with something people simply ignore it.

If it's not aesthetic enough people simply overlook what is being shown to them.

Again a big part of this is the compartmentalized thinking of society. People tend to stay in the realm of what the media pushes and is deemed acceptable.

Lastly in spring has come many interesting topics where explored, including typical non traditional gender roles, age difference, money in relation to love, and sadly many either avoided the show because of it being het and not bl or disliked it because there wasn't a kissing scene.

Kji may not speak a lot about his personal life and preferences but I believe he chooses to show it instead by meticulously immersing himself in the projects he is apart of.

the difference in interactions when a group is active is like so... Because like on record he was the closest to mark but their personalities don't match. I think it's deeper than people realize

I just got out of school a few days ago and honestly I was so busy that I was only halfway paying attention to what has been going on. First of all ever since that fiasco with bubble, and his phone breaking i honestly thought that something was up with him cause he was just acting weird...sigh I really didn't want to get into this I wanted to just relax and read or catchup on good trouble or something but I guess I'll Ramble instead.

I didn't know per say that he was leaving at first I just noticed he has been much more clingy with his fans than usual. Really pushing the boyfriend idol thing( which is so unhealthy for both him and them but I digress). He the entire rover promotions has just looked so tired and exhuasted to me. For this reason although I bought the album I refused to keep up with the promotions because of how out of it he looked. He lost so much weight( which isn't necessarily a bad thing its how quickly he looses weight and how he binge eats afterwards its just not healthy) he looked so tired and energetically drained. S.m absolutely sucks at promoting him and he takes on the bulk of the creative reins and stress for every album, so I understand his stress but it's how he deals with it. He is very sensitive and emotional but pretends not to be until he just snaps and lets it all out. Honestly as selfish as it is this is why I will check up on him periodically but thats about all I can do when he's like that.. seeing someone run themselves ragged not even caring if one day they won't be able to walk for the sake of their craft is too much.

I know people are angry at people suggesting that he knew he was going to the military and I dont know for sure but I really think he did. He's such an oddball he hints at stuff. And if you don't pay attention to his little hints you'll miss the irony of everything he, had changed his hair color back to black, was wearing a air jordan shirt with wings and said that he'd be right back.( also he never has worn came before and suddenly he's wearing it way more often) I just assumed everyone knew he meant he was going to the army. It was strange to watch cause in a way it was real I do believe he was hurting but how he be acting sometimes its concerning. I really dont think he has another area of his life to express that emotional, goofy, childlike self which is basically the real him. The military regardless of which part you are going to is no place to express that side of yourself. I really dont think it was kai of exo crying cause he can't sing and dance I think it was his inner child crying. He cares about singing and dancing but honestly not as much as he outwardly says he does. I think he would be just as happy acting, it's simply that fans didn't really respond well to his acting. Its not just exo he won't be participating in, it's also modeling, fashion, whatever else he does that people don't know about.. anyway he's been noticably holding onto, clinging too, trying to get back the youth he lost being an aspiring child star/ kpop idol. People forget he has headshots from when he was like 8 or 9 maybe 10. His parents more than simply wanting him to sing and dance wanted him to be famous. Its alot of pressure for a kid and it's also is a tale as old as time his story is different from what you usually hear in kpop, he didn’t just audition and happen to get in he was definitely groomed to be in the industry. He wasn't exactly doing youtube covers but if you weave the story together a lot went into him being Kai it wasn't just oh I wanted an Nintendo but I commend him for saying so dedicated to the little script. He never ever gives anymore information about his family or his career origins than he did at debut (trust me I've checked). But weirdly he offers the story without asking.most idols do not do this they stay as vague as possible. But he always has given info voluntarily that sounds odd and maybe didn't need to be said. Like how he looked so feminine as a child multiple people mistook him as a girl, and how his mother used to curl his hair and when he went shopping for dress clothes with his parents the people would bring out a dress instead.. Perhaps it is something important to him or he is trying to hint at something I'm not sure.

Gender fluidity is a mark of childhood I think he holds onto that part of his life where he didn't have to be what society deems as a man.

Regardless I worry about the kid cause I think he uses his celebrity as a comfort when he feels insecure. Like at least somebody cares about him, the real him. But I really dont think that's healthy.

It also really concerns me how when he's alone and it's quiet( no lights camera action) the first thing that pops into his mind when he's just speaking into the silence is to say he doesn't have any friends. He says he is a friend to other people yet he has no friends. He's so closed off even when he's close to people.

I know nobody wants to be lectured but this is why I'm so cringe and like why? when he sexualizes himself. It's more and more common that sex symbols are coming out and saying how irl they are super shy and reserved. One day my sister was watching the Kardashians and I was like lemme just watch and see what this is about. It actually wasn't bad and I'm now convinved it's actually social commentary in disguise. So this episode Scott asked Kim to accompany him to an acting class and Kim was actually super shy and kinda nervous about having to introduce herself in front of strangers. People fail to realize people even when someone seems out of this world they are still a person. Sometimes dehumanizing someone isn't putting them down but lifting them up too high.

I think the deification of Kai both helped him yet hurt him tremendously. Jongin went from being a bullied kid who did ballet to a handsome upcoming idol to be treated like a demigod. Yet that's just how people looked at him, where was the inner work between that. It most likely didn't happen. Which is why he still has bouts of depression despite having such a successful career.

More than comments and likes and views the kid needs prayers.

I said something fishy was going on first sm trying to sell to the highest bidder before the new years even roll in. They barely promoted any of their artists latest projects, no decent interviews nothing, they are mainly focused on touring nct, pushing this huge exo comeback that they clearly didn’t even think about cause if they were smart they would have done it last year not in the middle of the year when two members could have been called to the military at any time. This company weird and I hope all the papa lee clowns understand these kpop companies/ent companies/companies period don’t care about nobody a whole baby products company was selling stuff they knew had asbestos in it to new parents for decades.

 S.m ent in paticular has always given me slimy gross creepy vibes simply because of how they treated certain people, no way you could treat people like garbage ignore mental health, physical health and allow kids to sign their lives away knowing you not even going to recommend them to a doctor after you’re threw with them that’s evil. It’s sad fans only see it when it’s right in front of their eyes or their idols themselves are explaining openly that they fell victim to a company’s evil. It’s not just the company it’s the fans as well they have made a bad situation even worse with their dehumanizing kpop idols treating them like parasocial barbie dolls, this ain’t life sized

but it’s slowly becoming that I swear if yall could by a synthetic robot clone of these idols for the right price yall probably would.

Should have never prospered the way it did. For some reason Japan kind of kept it going but there was a gradual cultural acceptance of hey maybe if these boys who never got to have a childhood want to one day get married and have a family or a lover..who cares(for the most part they aren’t perfect but they are wayyy better than they used to be).  The idea is basically “As long as they keep performing and giving the fans what they love we will accept it”

Because I think in kpop the first thing you see is this the ready to be consumed and sexualized by the public product

For many groups despite childhood photos and a few pictures showing that these idols that to the young fans at the time are soo mature...actually aren’t.

 Even early 20s 19/18 although legal in most places is scary young to be accessible to the public as a hot or sexy idol. I’ll never forget that interview where kai and baekyun were like legal but still very young and an interviewer asked them if they watched p*rn they were shocked but played along. Now and days when kids first get off of disney people usually take it easy on them and ask light questions the fact that it was considered socially acceptable for the public to have access to such private and personal information of two young men by a grown ass adult can only be understood that they weren’t just young guys they were idols, it was just the begining of what would eventually become necessary. They may not have been forced to talk about personal details but they would later be expected to be sex objects.

Of course grown artists can be mature and make mature content but I think the problem comes in with the fact that the members, although fans knew them as trainee’s, they knew them and their idol persona’s as trainee’s. Very few fans probably saw them as what they were just young kids, well trained young kids but at the end of the day even in my early 20s, kids fresh out of highschool to me may as well be middle schoolers but they were seen as more than that. Immediately every member of exo became free fandom real estate. Millions of tweets, fanfics, tumblr post, youtube reactions etc they had no control over.

I’m not blaming the fans many were super young themselves probably younger than the members in the group I’m just saying when you look back this situation was not a good one. They never had a chance.

I think not being able to date openly, or have kids or express themselves like normal people their age definitely took a toll. The company is at fault but the fans are basically their captors, the company is selling but the fans are buying. They had to be the perfect products.

Honestly the ideal of a boyband is really a boybrand. 

The goal for any dude in a boyband is to get out of it...obviously.

 But in kpop it’s like the fans never ever want that to happen(unless they have a dating scandal) even if they weren’t being treated right// in reality they want to go home to their families//which is normal. People act like the fact that idols are so busy they barely see their families is no big deal//its a very big deal. They are missing out on milestones, birthdays, family reunions, they loose family members. Like that’s crazy that doesn’t really register to fans. 

At the end of the day fans are like the actual bosses of celebs everybody is fake nice to their boss. That’s why it’s so important to above all care about the art first, like the persona and respect the person underneath or else you will get your feelings hurt. It’s a sticky situation, yes they want their job but they also want..more than privacy..it’s not just about oh yes I’m a good fan I respect their privacy. Who wants to hide a relationship or their child or their spouse for goodness sakes it’s sick. It’s reminding me of the capital..seriously all kpop fans should watch the hunger games catching fire. The tributes constantly performing for the crowd the audience who want to see them with specific people

cheering for the secret lovers not understanding they were in reality fighting for their lives. Sadly trauma bonding made some of them actually seek companionship with one another cause what other choice do they have/ but they literally had to fake a relationship or have pretend none at all if they were heavily desired. Cause the viewers want specific tributes to be together even though literally they were all suffering despite looking amazing.

 Seriously it’s so similar to ent industry stuff going on all over the world it’s crazy.

I just feel like people only get woken up out of the illusion that any of this glitter is in fact not gold when its their group that is having issues.
