A Short Comic ft Price & Simon

This idea spawned from the thought: What if Price knew Simon before Ghost? That's why he said "It's good to see you again Simon." during the whole mask scene. To me, Price is a guy that puts a lot on himself. So... this came out.

Morning

Nikolai who spends his time trying to make the other feel as loved as possible. Nikolai who follows him around whenever he has the chance, just in case.

John who acts like he hates the attention. John who’s spent too many years where the only contact he received left stinging red imprints behind. John who doesn’t know why the other treats him like this.

Nikolai who refuses to consider it when his John tells him to go one night. Doesn’t listen to the ‘find someone who ain’t a bloody bastard like me, Nik’ that the other, slightly drunker, man murmurs.

John who spends most his drinking time apologising to the other. John who still doesn’t understand why the man picked him, when his partner could be anywhere in the bloody world if he so wished.

Nikolai who’s seriously considering muffling the other with a pillow to get him to just shut up. Nikolai who feels a mild pang of fear every time his partner says he should just leave, that Nik should find someone better.

John who realises after years and years on this planet maybe, just maybe, he deserves a little bit of love. John who, more importantly to him, realises that his attitude is hurting the Russian.

Nikolai who leaves little love notes on his desk, handwriting near-illegible. Nikolai who realises he might have to cool off a bit. Nikolai who figures out he has to go back a few steps first before jumping back forwards.

John who, after a few days, maybe a few weeks, realises Nik isn’t going to lay off. John who gives up pulling the others hands off of him, instead relaxing into the touch. John who’s still a bit scared, even now, of messing with the perfect balance that is his life, but is willing to accept it for his partner.

Nikolai who always makes sure at least one other soldier is flanking John. Just in case.

John who tucks each one of the notes his wallet, you know, just in case.

Swords n’ roses au: Sketch of hangster’s first meeting; jake gets himself into trouble (or is kidnapped for ransom or something, but he def makes it worse by being snarky) and his father puts out a bounty to get jake back safe.

Continued below cut (+ a bonus sketch)

Bradley (very good swordsman) deals with the captors and rescues jake all on his own, impressing lord seresin (jake’s dad) so much so that he offers to make B a knight if he swears loyalty to the Seresin house (also jake is starstruck and becomes infatuated with bradley)

Bradley ends up being Jake’s babysitter protector mostly and just sees jake as a kid so he doesnt take jakes clumsy attempts at flirting seriously at all.

Jake eventually gives up on that lost cause, which is why, years later, when brad gives him the rose (all flirtatious like (the first art for this au)), jake jumps at the chance and brad is very confused (but is definitely not unhappy)
