I know it sounds weird but I am in need of Italian words/phrasings the Papas would say to each other in the middle of an argument or fight. Or just annoyed and don't want to talk or do something they are asked to.

Things on the line off fuck off, dickhead and so on.

This is actually a really good question, too. Not weird at all. A few choices:

“Va a farti fottere!” - get fucked, go get fucked, fuck off

“Testa di cazzo” - literally dickhead

“Fottuto” - fuckface, fucker, stupid fuck

“Non rompere” or “non rompermi i coglioni” - Stop busting my balls, don’t break my balls (stop bothering/annoying me)

“Mi stai sulle palle” - You fucking piss me off/bug the shit out of me

The famous “Vaffanculo” is a bit controversial, because although it’s intended as “fuck you,” there’s a slight edge of homophobia to it, since it literally means “go fuck somebody’s ass.” Having said that, few in Italy really use it in that sense consciously…they really are just saying “fuck you.”

“Fratellaccio del culo” - a fun one because you’re saying “stupidass brother”

“Sei pieno di merda” - you’re full of shit

“Sono cazzate” or “che stronzata”- this is bullshit

“Ma va!” - believe it or not, in the right inflection, this short expression means “don’t be ridiculous”

“Mentecatto” - another way to say “idiot”

“Non si combina niente qui!” - we aren’t resolving anything!

and yeah, all those things are true, but having spent the past few months leaving enthusiastic comments on as many things as i can, i have a different perspective

you should leave comments on fics because it's fun

taking the time to stop and focus on what i like about a story has made me way more aware of what's going on in stories and what i like about them. there's bit more actual comprehension and appreciation and not just beaming content into my eyes to fill time

i like noticing cool little things in fics, or riffing on funny events. i've never been very good at speculating or picking apart characters, but sometimes something clicks and it rocks.

and of course it's pretty nice when you get a response and it's clear you've made another person happy

so yeah, you should leave comments for your own sake, too. it makes reading better!
