So many of my NPD traits come from being told the exact opposite of what the disorder is all about. I spent years and years being constantly told both through actions and words that I was inferior. That I didn’t matter. And I will be damned if I let anyone make me feel inferior again.

That’s really what it boils down to. It’s not about being more than. It's about the intense dread of being less than.

npd culture is feeling exhausted or crashing after most social interactions because you didn't present as funny or cool as you wanted to

was scrolling through the npdcultureis blog because of the post you rebloged so now I have some question

I’m familiar with the term fp/favourite person in relation to Borderline Personality Disorder but I’ve never heard the term ‘ep’. What does that stand for? And what is it’s significance?

EP (in NPD) stands for equal person. Basically people someone with NPD sees as equal to themselves and grandiose patterns dont affect the relationship as much. The NPD tends to fuck around less with EPs and narcissists tend to be attached to their EPs, prioritizing them and having a very close relationship with them. Narcissists can have multiple EPs as well (personally i have 3... i think)

Different from FPs in BPD which turns many BPD symptoms up, EPs tend to calm down narcissistic traits

Btw anyone is free to add onto this post with more information and shit

The dilemma of wanting to bitch and moan to someone, but you know it can make the crash 10 times worse if they don't act perfectly like you want them to.

npd culture is getting annoyed because someone assumes something incorrect about you so you're like "please ask next time" and then getting annoyed when they actually ask next time because they should just know

possible npd and bpd culture is getting tired of being nice for everyone else's sake and just wanting to be yourself fully.

i want to be mean to be mean, but i don't like the idea of upsetting my friends. (idrc in the moment but afterwards i feel bad.)

it might entail me a dick and harming people on purpose but i'm just so exhausted by everything.

My fellow narcissists (people who have NPD) are one of the most loyal, resilient, and straightforward people I’ve met in my life. I know that our disorder is terribly misunderstood but here’s a reminder that we don’t have to align with unfair treatment pwPDs receive within the mental health advocacy community.

It’s okay to love your narcissism, it’s okay to appreciate the positive and beneficial attributes and qualities it gives us. A lot of us are incredibly protective of our friends, more than a non-NPD individual will ever be - because our disorder makes us so. A lot of us are helpful and incredibly caring individuals because of our NPD, and those closest to us can feel this blanket of care and protection settling over them. A lot of us are self-sacrificial (shocker.) because of our NPD, passionate because of it, or have other pleasant, beneficial, good qualities of character amplified because of our NPD.

I’ll make a rough guess and say that one of the most pleasant people you’ll ever meet are probably narcissists, because it benefits us to be liked, not all of us thrive off negative attention. So, hold your sanism. And to my fellow pwNPD, I love you.

Ok yes "more male characters with big naturals" but are you normal about trans men/transmasc folks who have tits? Are you normal about them not binding? About them not wanting top surgery or not wanting to bind?

Are you normal about cis men with gynecomastia? Are you normal about gynecomastic men not binding, or not wanting top surgery?

ARE YOU NORMAL ABOUT REAL LIFE MEN WITH BIG NATURALS?
