this mf aint even looking at the fuckin pamphlet ....... 🙄
guys did anybody read v. e. schwab's newsletter
what do you mean she's watching hannibal for victorious research purposes???
Yeah I'm in the maths fandom but I don't really engage with the source material as much as I used to, y'know? I'll go back and read the classics but even then not recently and honestly I vibe so much harder with the place the fanfics are going.
Gentleman Suitor: Would you like to get lunch together today?
Eloise, standing right in front of him: I really wish I could, but I’m currently out of town.
The same crowd that gets on Eloise’s neck about being rich and privileged and unaware of how hard other people’s lives are is the same crowd that trashed her for spending time with Theo, seeing more of the world outside of the ton, learning more about women’s rights and the world around her and called her selfish for wanting more than to spend her life as a man’s trophy-on-a-shelf
Almost like you guys don’t actually want her to grow and expand her worldview, you’re just waiting for Scumbag Ph*lip to come and completely destroy her spirit and punish her for thinking she could possibly do more with her life than be a wife and mother
And what exactly was so selfish about her spending time with Theo? You guys love Benophie as if the class difference isn’t also a factor there
You're telling me that they're filming at Theo's print shop location????
do me a solid and just reblog this saying what time it is where you are and what you’re thinking about in the tags.
BRIDGERTON UNPOPULAR OPINION
I like they made Francesca lesbian instead of Eloise, imo they break the stereotypes this way.Â
In one hand they show that a “feminine” girl (I mean it under the hegemonic idea of feminine and masculine) can be a lesbian. Thats important because there’s A LOT of people who still believe that a lesbian has to be a women dressed as a boy, like sexuality had anything to do with anything else besides sexual preferences. Sexuality it’s not a mold of personality and I appreciate every representation of that we can get.Â
On the other hand, by not no making Eloise a lesbian they also break the stereotype that EVERY feminist women it’s a lesbian, like feminism was about hating man and hence a feminist shouldn’t be attracted to men. I kinda feel making El a lesbian could lead to that stereotype and downplay her political believes, like her denial to fit into society was about her dislike of men and not about her dislike of a whole system were women are given so little opportunities.
There’s a lots of people who still see thing that way, reducing lesbians to male wanna be and feminists to man hater, like everything had to be about men in some way, so I highly appreciate the representation of lesbian and feminist women outside that stereotypes. Â
jane austen was right!!!!! i AM half agony half hope!!!!! if i loved you less i COULD talk about it more!!!!!!!! i WAS in the middle before i knew i had begun!!!!!!!
Here's another Prelude To Ecstasy snippet!
Benedict stared at his sister, taking in her earnest expression, the plea in her eyes. The two of them shared a bond that none of their other siblings quite understood, a bond forged from being a pair of imposters, tripping and falling over themselves while others glided around them, content with their position in society. Benedict, being a gentleman in society, had his freedoms. His sister, on the other hand, was effectively caged by the rules of polite society. And Benedict, for all his worries, refused to be one of her jailers.
