BRIDGERTONÂ | Season 2, Episode 6, âThe Choiceâ
â CLAUDIA JESSIE, when asked about her favorite swoon-worthy moment in Bridgerton (x)
Pairings: Eloise Bridgerton/Theo Sharpe, Eloise Bridgerton & Francesca Bridgerton
Tags: Alternate Universe - College/University, Academic Rivals, Casual Sex
Summary:
Eloise trips and falls into Theo's bed.
[Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and thrice is neither of those things.]
Excerpt:
Eloise had Theo pressed against a shelf, her fingers deftly working open the buttons of his neatly-pressed shirt. There were voices outside, important people having important conversations right outside their hiding place, but all she could focus on was making sure that this man (with his perfect hair and his perfect smile and his perfectâ) walked away from this closet looking wrecked.
You're telling me that they're filming at Theo's print shop location????
Just a little something while I work on other (less miserable) works!

Summary: The Titanic strikes an iceberg and everything goes to hell.
Warning: Major Character Death
Thinking about that time I tried to convince my friend that Theo was coming back for season three and she was like, "Girl, you're delusional," and I was flailing around like, "No, listen--"
...she was right.
this mf aint even looking at the fuckin pamphlet ....... đ
The same crowd that gets on Eloiseâs neck about being rich and privileged and unaware of how hard other peopleâs lives are is the same crowd that trashed her for spending time with Theo, seeing more of the world outside of the ton, learning more about womenâs rights and the world around her and called her selfish for wanting more than to spend her life as a manâs trophy-on-a-shelf
Almost like you guys donât actually want her to grow and expand her worldview, youâre just waiting for Scumbag Ph*lip to come and completely destroy her spirit and punish her for thinking she could possibly do more with her life than be a wife and mother
And what exactly was so selfish about her spending time with Theo? You guys love Benophie as if the class difference isnât also a factor there
Theo Sharpe season 5 leading man for sure!!! Theloise will be back!!
oh yes both reached for the gun (but the gun being mainly theloise bc iâm still upset with what pen did to them)
all im saying is that anthony may not be good at reciting poetry, but theodore sharpe would be terrific at it. get that man on the stage reciting i am begging you. let me swoon god damn it.
(aka: Born To Die)
The forest around her was still, holding its breath as she lined up her shot, the tree standing strong and silent before her. She inhaled deeply, her senses sharpeningâthe crisp scent of pine, the gentle rustle of leaves, the distant call of a bird. She drew back the string, focusing intently, whenâ
âEloise Bridgerton.â
Eloise cursed under her breath as her arrow flew through the air, a flash of wood and feathers, before piercing the bark of her intended target.
The forest seemed to exhale around her.
âGo on, then,â she said, turning to face her brother. âChastise me.â
The coppery scent of blood filled her senses, choking her with its sharp, metallic bitterness. The grass beneath her was stained with fresh blood, dark and glistening under the dim lamplight. Every breath she took seemed to draw more of that metallic bitterness into her lungs, making it impossible to escape the reality of what had occurred.
Murder.
The air hummed around Eloise as she shakily reached for her phone, her bloody fingers staining the case red.
There was only one person she wanted to call.
âI need your help,â she said, the words paining her to say.
âLike, with homework?â
Eloise glanced down at the body of George Morrison, a cold chill running down her spine. âSure. Homework.â
iâm so sick of people saying that if theloise will happen eloise will be estranged from the ton because it is simply not true imo!! we all know how eloise feels about that society but still, she wouldnât want to be left out. fortunately that is not the case. some people use this argument to explain why eloise and theo wonât be together but my point still stands: money, social status and society rules wonât be the reasons why they wonât end up together. those are just lame excuses. well, they may be if, for example, theo decides to let her go because he doesnât feel worthy of her or something like that, but for me this is the only case. but the thing is: they could end up together.
letâs talk about the bridgerton family. we all know how much they value love, especially violet. she made this clear in the books (where she also talked about class!!),
and she made it clear in the tv show, both in s1 and s2
obviously, the head of the household is anthony. we saw, at the beginning of s2, that heâd decided to put duty above everything else but eventually he let it go and decided to choose love. and iâm sure heâll want the same for his siblings. of course, this is a tv show, there will be conflicts, but he wants his siblings to experience his same happiness. also, mary sharmaâs backstory in the show. kateâs dad. câmon it would be VERY hypocritical to disapprove.
the queen. if she approves of something, the rest of the ton approves as well. we all remember the wrecking ball dance and how she literally meddled in the discussion, and lied lol, to avoid rumors because she saw the love between anthony and kate. of course everyone knew, even the queen, that that was, in fact, the reason why the wedding wasnât celebrated, but in that moment it didnât matter. she forgot about the failed wedding and watched the couple on the dance floor.
like violet, even the queen seems to love love. calam agrees with me. he said:
so i believe that if theo and eloise decide to be together and decide to do it properly, the queen would approve. i say âproperlyâ because we all saw how the queen reacted when she saw lady mary. haters use that scene to prove their point but i want to use that scene to prove MY point. queen charlotte said:
she was mad. lady mary eloped (correct me if iâm wrong). but she did what she had to dobbecause she didnât have the support of her family. but eloise does and the bridgertons would help her with the queen. they will help her explain the situation to her majesty. and again, the queen loves love. she was mad at simon and daph too when the engagement was announced but, letâs be honest, she loved simonâs speech. she loves to see two people in love.
so, in conclusion, social status is not what will get in the way of their relationship. i donât know what they will come up with to break them up and i hope the writers will choose the right path.
i could talk about how theyâre perfect for each other and use eloise, claudia and calamâs words to explain my point and the whole marinaâs situation, but thatâs another story. if they have to go separate ways, i just hope they will part as friends. i donât want them to ruin his character so that people will root for phillip.
thanks for coming to my tedtalkđ«¶đ»
I think Eloise as we see her needs to be with someone who cares about rights for women and causes as much as she does. The Eloise we see in the show would not be content with someone who merely tolerates her activism or is generally disinterested these causes, and only cares about them through her.
As well as that, this Eloise doesnât belong in the country, safe and tucked away quietly in a manor house. She doesnât belong in posh London society either. Where she belongs is the political meetings such as where she ran into Theo. Amongst people who challenge her and challenge the world. She would belong in intellectual salons and the bohemian world where Benedict has made a space for himself.
She belongs where the action is, where the crowds are gathering and are laying the foundations for a change in the world. That is where she belongs, and she belongs with someone who would stand beside her and match her as she marches, step by step.Â
I so desperately want to know if either of these deleted scenes are related to Theo. The second one definitely seems like Bloomsbury.

Prompt:
Tempted to write a season 2 fic that throws both historical accuracy and show consistency out the window and has Theo say âfuck itâ and leave work to visit Eloise at her house. He shows up in his work attire and Anthony is all âwhat the fuck who are you and what are you doing at my houseâ and Theoâs like âIâve come to call on Eloiseâ and Anthony, whoâs already on the verge of a mental breakdown because of Kate and Edwina, just goes âfuck it, itâs your funeralâ because surely his sister will eat this man alive, right?
But then, they actually seem to like each other. And not only that, they seem to know each otherâŠand thatâs when Anthony officially loses it.
(Summary: Theo calls on Eloise.)
âThey appear to be quite fond of insulting one another,â Benedict noted, a gleeful expression on his face.
âIndeed,â Anthony replied dryly, still struggling to process the lunacy occurring right before his eyes. Eloise had just insulted Theo, who responded by throwing his head back and laughing.
Dear God, Anthony realized with no small amount of horror, they were flirting.
Edit: Link.
SHUT UP eloise bridgerton deserves the rich girl/poor boy trope executed to perfection with a man who drinks his respect women juice every morning and theyâre really gonna TEASE me with it before they ship her off to the countryside to marry a man whoâs looking for a mother for his children??? CRUEL
This scene occurs the morning after Anthony's "failed nuptials"...and also the morning after Eloise confessed her feelings to Theo and he set aside books for her to "share her thoughts on". I can't help but wonder if the book she's reading here is one of the books he set aside for her?
This scene follows immediately after, and it's obvious she's on her way to meet Theo (my girl's practically skipping lol). Perhaps she wanted to meet Theo and "share her thoughts" on the book she was reading? The book that he gave her?

A lot of people compare Eloise and Theo to Anthony and Siena or Colin and Marina: where one is simply a plot device for the other. While I have my own thoughts regarding this that I won't get into, I think a more apt comparison for Eloise and Theo is Francesca and John.
We see both relationships develop, and we see a real connection between these couples despite Eloise and Francesca ending up with different people in the books. Eloise and Theo feel like "kindred spirits" due to their shared interests, and so do Francesca and John.
Theo and John also share Eloise and Francesca's love language: politics and literature, in Eloise's case, music and peace, in Francesca's case. We see this when Theo sets aside books for Eloise and when John rewrites music for Francesca. Personally, I prefer these moments to some of the grand love confessions we see in the show (which I also love, don't get me wrong). Actions speak louder than words for a reason!
Both Theo and John can also offer Eloise and Francesca the life they want: Theo offers Eloise a life outside of high society, John offers Francesca a peaceful life.
Okay, hear me out:
(Also, most of what I'm about to say hinges on the fact that I'm pretty confident season 4 is Benedict's season.)
The swing scene at the end of season 3 seemed to pretty blatantly set up Benedict and Eloise's arcs for season 4. Regarding Benedict, that scene seems to imply he'll be meeting Sophie next season, and regarding Eloise, she straight up says she wants to explore the world beyond Mayfair and Aubrey Hall.
Now, we know Eloise will be back in London for the masquerade ball, and we also know that the masquerade is where Benedict meets Sophie. Assuming season 4 is Benedict's season, the masquerade will need to happen earlier on in the season, so Eloise won't be spending too much time in Scotland.
So, if Eloise's season 4 arc revolves around exploring the world beyond her little bubble of high society, spending an episode or two in Scotland is not enough.
She needs to go back to Bloomsbury.
We already got a taste of this in season 2, but we primarily see Eloise visiting Theo at the printshop. Season 4 offers a perfect opportunity to see Eloise go beyond the printshop and attend more assemblies, and maybe even speak at one (in season 3, one of the debutantes did call Eloise a talented speaker). Hell, maybe she even runs into Theo at one of these assemblies.
Additionally, if season 4 revolves around Benophie, working class people need to be brought into the spotlight. Enter Theo Sharpe! Introducing Sophie already opens up the world of Bridgerton in a way we haven't seen before, but bringing back Theo can expand that world and show us a more political side, which we only got a glimpse of in season 2. Not to mention, a Theloise subplot during Benophie's season can provide really interesting commentary on women marrying above/below their station.

[A series of vignettes in the lives of Eloise Bridgerton and Theo Sharpe.]
Is it a song about masturbation? Yeah, that's how I interpreted it lol. But, taking some of the lines out of context, I think they really fit Eloise and Theo's relationship. Theloise is a forbidden relationship that never became "official" or reached that physical stage, which somewhat fits the song.
The following are just a few examples:
The almost-kiss, Eloise visiting Theo in Bloomsbury.
I keep recalling things we never did Messy top lip kiss How I long for our trysts
Eloise facing ruin despite never being physical with Theo.
Without ever touching his skin How can I be guilty as sin?
Please send me your favorite theloise songs, I need inspiration to edit <3
