Cliff Burton facts that make me love him even more
His inspirations were Geddy Lee (Rush), Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Stanley Clarke (Animal Logic), and Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy). He said that Lemmy was his inspiration for using distortion with his tone.
The intro to Damage, Inc. was written and performed by Cliff. It was 8-12 tracks of bass with harmonies, volume swells, and effects.
