What 2020 Is All About:

i feel like Draco would start saying ‘my husband will hear about this’ instead of father, just so everyone would know that he is married to the great and mighty Harry Potter, therefore his word is god.

Kinda fucked up that ‘Draco’ and ‘Harry’ are acoustically so much softer than ‘Malfoy’ and ‘Potter,’ meaning that when they go from last names to first names not only is it more intimate but the sounds themselves are gentler. Anyway if anyone needs me I’ll be wallowing in my considerable agonies

Alternative ‘nah, she didn’t’ canon-plausible Sirius reactions:

grabbing Floo Harry by the shoulders and saying, “harry,  your mum loved your dad as much as i loved my motorbike.”

listing places he caught them snogging

giving an overly detailed three hour oral history of their romance

or a three minute oral history in musical form

harry, has anyone had the talk with you? do you know what sexual tension is? (remus: sit down, sirius.)

reciting from memory the half written sonnet james had started for lily for seventh year valentine’s day, which he made the fatal mistake of chucking in the bin for sirius to find instead of burning it to erase all evidence

forcing remus to be lily and doing a dramatic reenactment of james proposing 

So, I started watching BBC Sherlock and BBC Merlin recently and I think I am starting to notice a pattern...

So, we have the main character:

smart, dark hair, cheekbones, keeps secret from "best friend" (Sherlock: drugs, Merlin: magic)

We also have the "best friend":

blond, fighter, not as smart as the main character but not totally stupid, hurts main character sometimes

The main character is in love with the best friend, who likes him back but doesn't always show it

The best friend is in love with another woman, who is friends with the main character, smart and sometimes a bit like a female version of the main character. The main character is not totally happy about it but supports it anyways

Together the main character and the best friend have to fight someone, who is kinda like an evil version of the main character and good at manipulating people

There also is someone who is like a father to the main character, but isn't his real father and works for the government (Sherlock: Lestrade, Merlin: Gaius)

Has anyone an explanation for this, am I the only one who noticed or is it just coincidence?
