The thing that particularly drives me nuts about the whole rap thing is that you could spend the rest of your life not listening to any rap at all and nobody would know. No one will ever quiz you. No one REALLY cares whether you, personally, listen to rap. People talking about cultural attitudes towards Black art are not thinking about you, specifically.
