Do this four times repeatedly and you’ll be out. But how does it work? There’s some real brain science behind it.
Media so good, they (the forces of evil) are hiding the fanbase from you. Media so good, you thought you dreamed that shit up and it don't really exist. I'M KNOCKING ON THE DOOR (CLICKING THE TAGS) FOR FAN CONTENT AND THERE'S NADA. Come outside y'all, I wanna talk like a normal person. (I'm going to rock back and forth frantically to convey my feelings about these podcasts)
I'm emotional ok
Carpenter strikes me as someone who always has sunglasses of some sort. Like to hide as much of her face/emotions as possible. To hide any hangover (from lack of sleep) or need for a cappuccino that one might have.
The big cosplayer question of all time but do you have any inspiration for how some of our main characters dress? Is it all practical with small hints towards the faith, or full southern gothic with long skirts and tattered lace? I’m only about halfway in but itching to start making something, especially for Carpenter or the twins that we got a great description of already!!
I would trend towards practical, and am not great with this stuff anyway, but I get the impression part of the joy of cosplay is elevated realism, right? So no reason you couldn't go hard on the full southern gothic*
*although I definitely do not see Carpenter in lace or skirts. Carpenter wears bovver boots and they are the most important item of clothing to her, being used for both walking and kicking.
congrats, once you enter the magpod universe you are now bisexual unless it becomes important somehow.
I can't stop thinking about Dark Cottagecore...
Consider:
Milk swirling into your tea reflects the stormclouds in the darkened sky as rain pelts at your window. It is trying to get in.
You sleep wrapped up in the quilt your grandmother made you. The pictures she sewed into it show scenes from the stories she whispered in your ear as a child. Sometimes, you swear the monsters on it move.
The warm, freshly baked bread is made to show hospitality to any visitors. The kindness you show them binds them into their visiting form and stops them from stealing you away at night.
Beautiful picture books you had as a child, all lined up on your bookshelf. At least three of them intone the dark rituals you know like the back of your hand.
You braid her hair, weaving wards into the plaits so you know she'll remain safe even after she crosses the threshold out of your home.
Your cat is soft as he purrs and leans into you. He is satisfied that he stopped the Things disguised as rats from getting into your home.
"Your coverage of this event has been completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people and their lived experience"
Being able to see the part that the media cut out in the beginning makes a huge difference in understanding the context and message luigi mangione was trying to get across. Media manipulation at its finest.
