Why is cyborg such a gender tho? 🥺

Nothing is hotter than bodily autonomy 🔥🔥🔥

Cyborgs unapologetically blend human and machine together. They change their bodies not to meet some sort of societal standard, but to meet their own needs and desires. Changing it becomes an expression and celebration in selfhood. Even when a cyborg changes their body to accommodate for a disability, they choose the level of visibility they want for their augmentation. They can hide it or flaunt it as much as they want. 

Coupled with the fact that metal, machine, and circuits can be modified outside of trad medical institutions. You can root around in your own innards and code, or better yet, those of another cyborg ;) You can follow videos on replacing hydraulics, and learn to debug code. Flesh on the other hand is unreliable, finicky. The meat can even leave the professionals stumped. It’s why doctors “practice” medicine, while mechanics “perform” maintenance! 

So yes, cyborg is such a gender! And I adore It!
