in my rereading flowey is not a good lifecoach era and this shit kinda sucks flowey why are you telling him your life story??? why not go after your curiosity you literally brought up instead of this dumb plot you haven't even thought out like it'd be much more interesting for flowey to try to investigate papyrus's past (wink wink nudge nudge) and figure out why he's the way he is. like generally a more interesting plot. and if you're gonna go with this dumb idea at least manipulate even a LITTLE better flowey you do NOT need to pull out your backstory??? you also wouldn't do that so idk what the fuck you're on about like just go "oh gee ur so cool and strong and i feel so safe around you cause youre the toughest guy ikoww... but im worried bout you cause youre so nice too and you give too many chances đ„șđ„șđ„șđ„ș also undyne's not letting you in the royal guard isn't she so mean for that." like flowey should be a manipulative mastermind why was the best thing he could come up with was just telling papyrus his backstory??? also why does papyrus just take that like bitch you should know that's literally asriel dreemurr?? that's literally his story?
You wrote about murder?? Murder is illegal?? You wrote about this dude killing someone and you didnât even say âmurder is badâ at the start of the book, wht wtf, wtf is wrong with you? I canât believe you condone murder, I canât believe youâre pro murber, oh my fucking God don'ttalk to me when ou literally kill people, freak. Iâm calling the cops, what the fuck, Iâm shaking and crying.
thinking about the fact that a lot of characters in saiki k is originally presented as a trope and a one dimensional character to make us laugh and slowly we see each of them grow to be so different from how they were presented, like nendo is a scary idiot but he actually is a kind person who loves his mom and would put his life on the line for anyone, and how kaido is an immature edgelord who actually is facing pressure from his family and is trying to explore his identity outside of being a former gifted kid, or teruhashi who is the perfect girl who is loved by all but she canât find any value in herself if it doesnât come from the male gaze and Kusuo who is presented as emotionless and hates people but actually loves his friends and does so many kind things because he cares so much about people even if he doesnât show it
please please please please never assume an artistâs work is about something and then shove your theory in their face in hope that they would validate your âheadcanonâ. thereâs a fine line between interpreting an artistâs art, which is fine (it is, after all, what art is about), and making your own assumption that said art might be about something that goes with your narrative or that something must be on the artistâs mind when they made this. itâs rude at best and extremely insensitive / disrespectful at worst. especially when you never know if the art is something thatâs personal to the artist, (and so by making your own assumptions that their art is about something you want it to be about, youâre invalidating their feelings / experiences / anything they mightâve held in their heart creating the art; youâre turning their emotions / experiences / possibly trauma into something thatâs about you, whether or not itâs your intention).
this goes for every other artist out there. if you appreciate their work or respect them as an artist, donât do this. even if youâre just âjokingâ. because trust me, your joke isnât worth the risk of unknowingly undermining someoneâs feelings / experiences / pain in the process.
please respect artists and their art and try to be more considerate.
this conversation was funny and i wanted to draw it
i wonder if flowey spent the equivalent of whole days killing and reloading. killing and reloading. just to prove to himself that he could bring people back. just to prove to himself that no one had to die again. he controlled it all. no one could die. no one was allowed to die.
i wonder if thatâs why he brought frisk back, every time he killed them. they were a playmate. they reminded him of an old friend. their courage, their strength, their determination⊠it all felt familiar. like if he just reached hard enough, it was them. even if it wasnât⊠it was. he told himself it was entertainment. that they hadnât learned the truth. that they needed to be put in their place before they could be absorbed.
he was lying.
even as he fought them, he knew they couldnât be gone forever. with just a thought he could bring them back. he was the one in control. and the way blood coated their corpse, the way their body slumped and turned cold when they died, it felt the same as watching the light leave charaâs eyes. and every time he brought them back to life, it felt like he was bringing chara back, too, not just some human.
flowey could bring back the dead. but he had to bring back the dead. if he brought back enough, he could almost pretend it was chara he was resurrecting. and he couldnât just leave someone dead. because that meant losing them all over again.
the vengeance route is so funny when you think about how most of it is just two edgy twelve year olds beefing with each other
remembers resets
trauma from remembering his own death
trauma from remembering sibling death
had to watch them die
cries
doesnât get hurt in the way a typical monster should
smart
close with papyrus
wears a scarf in one ending
depressed probably
guys i think the early fandom worshipping fanon sans was just subconsciously loving flowey
PSA: golden flowers and buttercups are not the same plant.
flowey is a golden flower. golden flowers did not exist in the underground until asriel brought them back with him from the surface. golden flowers are edible and can be used to make tea. golden flowers are fictional plants from undertale.
buttercups are poisonous. buttercups already existed in the underground when chara fell. buttercups are what chara used to accidentally poison asgore and intentionally poison themself. buttercups are real flowers that exist in real life.
stop mixing them up please đ I beg đ
