i noticed these things are REALLY hard to find on the internet, so i decided to make it a little easier. if i’m missing any, feel free to add on! please.

One of my favorite parts of Stardew Valley is getting to know the npcs, especially bachelor/ettes. However, I usually don’t put time and effort into making friends with people other than my future spouse until later in the game. Usually once I’m married. So it’s always very funny to me when I reach 8 hearts with a bachelor/ette and get to their cutscene. They have a quite obvious crush on the farmer and I’m just over here like “Excuse me, sir/ma’am, I am married.” I love Haley’s chat line that comes up after 6/8 hearts that’s like “I never thought about living on a farm/being a farmer’s wife but now it doesn’t seem so bad.” I’m just like “And you never will be.”

when the lvl 30 option for enchanting literally took 30 whole levels from you. when fishing gave you absolutely no indication that a fish was on the hook so u just had to guess when there was. when slabs, stairs, fences, buttons, etc couldnt exist in the same space as water. when vines werent climbable if they werent against a solid block. when every wool colour made a red bed. when nether portals could only ever be 3x4 in order to work. spam clicking as the most efficient form of combat.

even tho it rings very well it bothered me that the farmer's part in this cutscene sounds a lot more like a guitar than the mini-harp they're meant to be playing LOL. so i transcribed this melody onto musescore and put the accompaniment into the harp sound on the program instead to see how it would sound like

unfortunately musescore can't retain the echoey resonance you normally hear in the flute in the original (and i cba to generate the effect through a DAW oops), but the harp sound changed the vibe a little! the melody's inherently mysterious and wistful anyway, but i think it adds a bit more lightness. i like both versions tho!
