i want Kokichi to have an identity crisis

this is actually a pretty straightforward thought- i simply like the idea of Kokichi looking back at himself and realizing that a large portion of his personality is just stuff he made up to fulfill specific tasks throughout his life. most of what he thought he knew of himself was actually just masks over masks over masks that he built to get what he wanted/needed done, and now he realizes he has no clue who he is under all the masks and it kinda breaks him a bit- like what do you mean there's no one under the lies? who is he protecting by lying if there's nothing but masks all the way down?

just- something something liar loses sight of himself in his lies and when he finally registers it he has a whole identity crisis about it

Danganronpa V3 chapter five but instead of Kaito and Kokichi dying they somehow teleport out of the killing game and get ice cream

I teleported them into the hospital bc I don’t want them to die

its unfair that the pregames are the ones who always get the edgy treatment

with friends :3 ( really love the parallels between the third chapters of sdr2 and v3 )

Which character can you absolutely not stand

Characters like Hifumi and TeruTeru, who have no character other then being a perv for most the game. Like? What the hell?

I’m also not a fan of Kiyo. There is nothing I like about him other than his design. I think I could stand with a full rewrite of his character.

What is your NOTP?

Sorry Vex, but anything with the training trio other than SaiMaki :’). They work so much better as friends to me.

Also anything with Kiyo, Tenko with any guy, and Tenmiko. (Although I’ve seen Tenmiko done well, so I’m not sure..)

Which character do you feel deserves more love

Ryoma! He’s so interesting! There’s so much to do with him and his philosophy, especially since it’s brought up again in chapter 5 (why keep living if there’s nothing for you?). I also think they should have brought up the scratches on the sink as a hint he wanted to keep living, or at least not have such a painful death.

Whose design do you enjoy the most? 

This is hard because a lot of the designs are good in their own way.

For DR1: Kyoko.

For Dr2: Kazuichi.

For DRV3 it’s a tie between Korekiyo and Shuichi. (Ik I draw Kokichi and Kaito a lot, but being an Oumota artist means your cursed drawing possibly the most ugliest character in the game)

What was your first exposure to Danganronpa?

I have to be honest, it’s been so long I don’t really remember.

I think it was Leon’s execution though, I liked the art style and was curious about where it was from and what was going on. I didn’t realize it was a game. I just searched “DanagnRonpa: Full Anime” or whatever on YouTube and watched it because I had nothing better to do (it was quarantine).

Confession: i didn’t actually play the first game, just watched the anime. Terrible, I know.

Which was your first Danganronpa game?

The first one I sorta played was the second one. Me and my friends like to play games together (when I say together I mean: She plays them and I sit at her shoulder like an annoying parrot) and she picked up the full series cus it was on sale or something. She had already played the first one so she started the second one with me and I was like “wait a minute this is so familiar, where have I’ve seen this before?” Then Monokuma showed up lol

Who is your favorite protagonist?

It’s probably Hajime. He had pretty good chemistry with all the characters. His twist was also cool.

I was also excited to play as Keade because she had an actual personality, but…

Which was your favorite trial from V3?

Hmm, ohhh, this is hard- it’s chapter 5.

I love almost everything about it, the gimmick, the story, the emotion. The tiny little hints the exsial gives. Ahhh I love it all. We were also able to find the “Lie route 1” basically solving it in 5 seconds, but we were still surprised.

I do have a few problems. Mostly with how characters were acting, not the case itself. For one, I don’t like how Maki didn’t apologize. We see hints of it in her argument arment, but no actual scene and it just weakens her character. I also don’t like how Shuichi still wanted to find the truth despite knowing Monokuma didn’t know the answer. I get his whole arc up to this point was “find the truth no matter what!” But with Monokuma? Did that not raise a single red flag? I think that role should have been given to Tsumugi as foreshadowing. Sure it might’ve been too obvious, but we’re getting her reveal next chapter anyway. It also would have been cool see how much their plan was fucking with the mastermind.

Although, trial 4 would be pretty close if I wasn’t able to figure out it was Gonta through process of elimination before the trail even stared
