Ayaka x Lumine (AU)

Just a drawing of Ayaka and Lumine being in love and kissing that I drew last summer, except their designs are different because I drew this as part of an au idea I came up with. and also because I enjoy changing up character designs in my fanart sometimes for no real reason.

(Note: This has been in my drafts for over two months and I wish to set it free, hope you enjoy my ramblings)

(EDIT: If you're interested in this idea, please tell me! I'm busy dying to college homework right now but if people are interested I'll probably make more art for it, and maybe even write something when I have time)

The concept for the AU:

When Ayaka told Lumine that Thoma had been taken by the Tenryou commission, Lumine said she'd bring him back safe and Ayaka should avoid getting involved. But in this story, Ayaka doesn't. When the Shogun raises her blade to strike down the traveler, it is Ayaka who saves her.

After this, Ayaka travels with Lumine and Paimon to aid the rebellion. Ayaka is left without her duty to her clan, and uncertain if she'll have a future within it after the war has ended.

But as her world seems to crumble around her, Lumine is right by her side, helping her through it. Holding her hand. Making her laugh in spite of everything.

And at watatsumi island, Ayaka has a chance to live more freely. She's not holding the reputation of her clan upon her shoulders anymore, and many of the people there have never seen her as the Shirasagi Himegimi.

I also like the idea of Ayaka making friends with Kokomi, they've both had to make compromises in their life out of a sense of responsibility to the role they found themselves in and the people depending on them.

If I remember correctly, I first came up with the idea for the AU while drawing Ayaka with short hair just for fun. I don't know how it went from "I think Ayaka could look very cute with short hair" to "what if Ayaka got exiled from the Kamisato clan what clothes would she wear" but here we are???

Here's some sketches I did to get their designs down for the AU! I chose the upper right one for Ayaka's outfit, but I'm still figuring out some details for it so it'll probably change some more in the future. Or I might end up going for something closer to her original outfit, idk. Feel free to offer your thoughts!

I didn't really need to make any changes for Lumine to fit the story better or anything, but I decided I wanted to try out some alternate designs for her clothes anyways. I chose the bottom right dress design for the illustration at the top of this post.

I've talked a lot about my ideas for Ayaka already, so here's my thoughts for Lumine:

I think that if Lumine hasn't already fallen for Ayaka before the divergence from canon, she would while the two of them fight for the resistance. And then once she realizes she's has these feelings for Ayaka, it becomes a thing where she doesn't want to confess them while Ayaka has so much else going on in her life.

Does that mean nothing changes or do I get a doppelganger

Would she still look sketchy or stylized or would she just look exactly like me

I already have a fraternal twin how would I explain suddenly having an identical one

Would I have to share my clothes with them

Would they have the same memories as me, no memories, or only have the same memories as when I drew this

What if they are still a drawing and they live inside my college notebook and can move between pages

Watercolor elementals

Drew these last june to practice watercolors back when I was first learning them

Since I recently posted a picture of my most recently completed sketchbook cover, here's a pic of the sketchbook before that. I'd just started trying watercolors in this sketchbook, and I really wanted to incorporate them into the sketchbook somehow. So I took a page from the book and sketched my design, cut the paper into the shapes I wanted, painted the character in with acrylics, painted the field around them with watercolor, and then added the flowers with acrylics on top.

I really love this one, it makes me happy when I look at it ^^

I just finished painting my sketchbook cover!

I like to paint my sketchbook covers after I finish them, so that I can paint something related to things I started drawing during that sketchbook. This sketchbook I made some new OCs inspired by me playing Minecraft a bunch right as I was starting fall quarter at my college, and I love them so I gave them the cover. That way I'll be able to easily find the first times I drew the when I'm looking back through old sketchbooks!

The bottom three are inspired by me playing in the origins mod, and the top two were inspired by my series of hardcore worlds.

This was a kind of frustrating project at times because I don't work with acrylics very often, and there were many points in the process where I felt like everything looked terrible. I kind of wish I took some wip pictures for comparison, oh well

Anyways, I quite like how this turned out and I think I'll post some more about the individual characters soon ^^

Ranboo Art

Drew this back in September when I was first getting into DSMP. I was still working on figuring out the story (through the mediums of animatics and TV tropes) was but I knew I really liked Ranboo's character design elements so I made this

I also did a bunch of sketches to figure out what design I liked best, including an ink drawing because how could I not (and did some colored blushes for the fun of it)

And here's a third whole sketchbook page of Ranboo! I had to much fun trying out the stippling style of inking. It took forever but was very fun!

Drew this while watching The Nightmare Before Christmas a couple days ago. It's a tradition in my family to watch this movie every year (usually around Halloween but it got delayed a bit this time), and Sally's always been my favorite character from that movie, so I wanted to do some sketches of me. I think younger me would really like these!

Hello! I just made a Tumblr a few days ago and wanted to make an introductory post.

This blog is a place where I will be posting things! Occasionally. Probably? I am most used to lurking places so I don't know how active I'll be here. The primary purpose of this blog is for me to have fun with it, so if I'm enjoying posting and I remember to post I'll probably post things.

The main things I will be posting are drawings, mainly messy sketches of whatever I felt like drawing recently but also the occasional more polished ink and/or watercolor illustrations. Maybe even the odd acrylic painting? I'll also probably post some of my older art that I still think is pretty neat
