Sun and Moon Girlfriends!!
I remember when i started drawing this, it was going to be a ship i liked, but it ended up being original character designs instead. I had a lot of fun with the watercolors :D
Going forward I might not be going to be following any themes after all, since ive realized that making these posts can take more time and energy than i have left after school and im probably not going to be able to be the most consistent at it. although making a queue would help a lot with that, so i'm probably going to try to get around to making one over the weekend!
(idk I might change my mind again and do a theme for a later week? I'm not quite sure yet)

I'm doing a fanart theme for this week (Oct 2 - Oct 8), and hollow knight specifically for today. I'm thinking about posting more art later today, because I have 100 pieces of hollow knight fanart to choose from, but for now I have very low energy so they'll either be in separate posts or added to this in a reblog chain ^^

This is the first full illustration I did after being gifted a how-to-draw-anime book from my grandparents!
I did a bunch of practice sketches to follow the tutorials and stuff, but this is one of the first things I drew with them that I felt really really proud of!!
It's far from the first thing I've ever drawn, I'd used hundreds of pieces of paper up drawing as play before I drew this, but sometimes it kind of feels like it was in my head since it marked a turning point in my life, and the start of trying to "get good" at drawing.
Also here's the back of the paper! (edited to remove my IRL name, which was written in cursive)
I think my mom told me my drawing was really good and I could possibly sell it so I came up with a price tag for it based on how much work? But this drawing is basically priceless to me now so I'm not planning on selling it anytime soon!

Techno and Philza are doing all the laundry so Ranboo doesn't have to get near the water, and Ranboo is probably apologizing repeatedly even though it really wasn't their fault and no one is mad at them!
π First fandom you did fanart for/first fanart?
I've been drawing characters from shows and movies since i could hold a crayon, but I believe that the first one I really considered fanart at the time was this drawing of the player character of Hollow Knight, whom i call Bug Knight
(Photo taken in 2019, which is probably around the time I drew this)
I then drew like 100 more hollow knight fanarts in a fairly short amount of time(a couple weeks or months) before I realized that I could also draw fanart of other things I liked, such as the games Pyre and Indivisible
I drew Crow's goober in front of their house a few days ago and then kept forgetting to post it. Here it is!

I have a lot of OCs; a bunch I made for various Minecraft worlds of mine, and some from a story I've been thinking about that I'm calling Wandering Reef, which is about merfolk and a mechanical girl who used to have a human body.
Here she is! Her name is Nell. I made the first version of her and her story a year ago. She's powered by magic energy, which she can use to create a more human-looking illusion appearance (but it uses a lot of energy so she doesn't use it all that often). She also has a pretty traumatic backstory, which led to her falling into the ocean, but she's gonna have a great time with the merpeople once she's down there.
I have a lot more art of her but I'll save those for another post.
I'll try to remember to talk about OCs more in the future, I keep meaning to but forgetting (thank you encouraging me to get around to it!)

I'm still figuring out the details so here's what I've decided so far:
Zelda and Link are both genderqueer!
Link didn't get his right arm back when he lost Rauru's
Link has a bunch of different prosthetics various inventor friends made
Link has a lot of scars, most of which were there before totk
Zelda still has horns, and probably some scales. Might also be able to shape shift into a more draconic form? idk
Zelda keeps her secret stone on a longer chain so she can wear it under her clothes
Zelda still wears the earrings Sonia and Rauru gave her
I have a bunch more ideas but they aren't quite fully formed yet, so I'm going to end this post here ^^

Why did I decide to draw complicated mechanical structure. Look at all these details! I mean it was a great challenge and I'm very proud of the result, but it also melted my brain!! And it was so hard to get good reference images
the process was pencil sketch -> pen lines -> digital coloring (ibis paint on my phone)
The coloring took almost 3 hours, and the line art probably took longer than that but I wasn't paying attention

I have an on again off again relationship with Genshin Impact so I may post art of it occasionally
I make art of whatever I'm interested in whenever I'm interested in it, and those things will change over time
I generally prefer to work in traditional mediums, but I also really like pixel art and occasionally I'll make something with Ibis Paint on my phone. Of traditional mediums, I like sketching with a mechanical pencil, and use watercolor and colored pencils to color more polished stuff. Occasionally I'll do lineart with either a ballpoint pen or an actual ink pen, and more occasionally i'll do something with acrylic paints

I think I'm a bit late to the party but idk I haven't played Genshin Impact in a month
I wanted to draw Lumine wearing a matching suit as well but because I know nothing about fashion or design I gave up. I might try again if someone else is interested, or if someone can tell me what the inspiration for Ayaka's skin is so I can find some reference of men's fashion from the same culture/time period, or if I have sufficient motivation and can find one of the history of fashion books lying around the house and figure it out for myself-
Anyways details are hard but I did really like sketching these ^^

I drew these after having a pretty bad day and was surprised at how much drawing an anthropomorphic cat trying to disguise herself as a human with a slightly creepy mask made me feel better. Binge watching Lizzie's Empires 2 playlist while doing so also very much helped!
