It's actually pretty perfect, blonde englishman + girlboss
MUMZA AND DADZA AS HUNTLOW IM GONNA FUCKING FALL TO THE FLOOR AND SOB INCOHERENTLYYYY
Cucuruchito's thoughts on Ph1lza
Child of the sky...
Got inspired by this moment
The quackity studios tweet for today...
And the full picture for clarity
(I adore Philza being called 'child of the sky' its such a good phrase)
okay nevermind, Cucuruchito cooked just this once
I keep thinking about the fact that q!Phil never really got out of the cage, but like, metaphorically.
He still talks to the hummingbirds that follow him around. He still can't fly. His children are still missing.
In a lot of ways he's still alone.
Beyond this, though, the Federation has a lot more control over him than they used to. At this point he's pretty much unwilling to do anything that would upset them all that much (and rightfully so).
So, yeah, I don't think he ever left the birdhouse.
Also, isn't this just one cage inside the larger cage of Quesadilla Island?
So many people get emduo so wrong
Why do you forget that Phil is the out of control one. Techno is normal. Techno is sane and is violent when provoked or it is otherwise deserved. Techno's favourite thing to do is read books with all of the animals he tamed and let into his home out of the goodness of his heart.
Phil would kill you and your infant child without a second thought. For no reason. He would just kill the child, actually! He will burn entire civilizations to the ground on a random Friday afternoon because he felt like it
Techno will try desperately to stop this because he knows his bestie is fucking insane but he's Philza Minecraft and he can do no wrong. Not even God would condemn this man! He's too scared!!
Ok so like way back in May I had this idea of sprouted-Luigi being similar situation to White Diamond, where he mimics Dimentio's speech and movement (also threw in some lines from WD's monologue for some extra flavor)
if you cant read my handwriting, I put the dialogue in the image description
Originally I had planned for there to be an epic fight scene between Luigi and the gang, a dramatic argument between Dimentio and Mimi + O Chunks, and a sick Super Dimentio transformation, but my inability to draw fight scenes kinda stumped that. Plus that would take forever and this already took multiple months of procrastination to make
(small spoiler about the cloak post)
I forgot if it's shown in the memory snow Ova or just in season 1, but Petra can recognize Emilia in her cloak (and unless you were conscious of that, you'd never even realize it happens, I don't even think Emilia really thought much about it) and people have pointed that out as "oh the cloak has flaws" but it's just revealed later (7 or 8th arc I can't quite remember) on that Petra just has Special Eyesâą and can just see through any and all illusions as more come up later and she's essential for dealing with it.
So there was a reason for her recognizing Emilia, that was for shadowed for her nearly 10 years prior
OHHHH
And this shows in the anime too, when Petra turns to Emilia without the cloak on and is like "You're the girl that always came to our morning calisthenics" when Emilia always wore her cloak then. Other than 'cause Subaru said, this is the start of the kids asking Emilia to join them on the dragon carriage
But it's like- so subtle, because then Petra says ", right?" at the end (might be different in other translations, but that's the one I know), as if she's not certain herself, but SHE IS
Im actually so glad a lots of people like q!phil and enthusiastic to actually characterize him the way he deserves because his treatment by the fandom in d/smp is CRAZY him from an actual person with smpe! bg reduce to just a âsupport castâ âfather figureâ and that it
there are reason why cc!phil step back a bit from rp because imagine you trying to do something to your character and the fandom just treated him so shit and ignore everything he made like amigaaa
For philza enjoyer I am so glad qsmp exists and he finally getting treated decent
And he good at rp too! He a person who doing constant lore it not a big lore stream but he always do lore with interaction! and I am kinda sad that most people just say oh phil? he doesnât do lore!
Like he almost getting the same treatment from an old fandom lmaooooo
Something about q!wil and q!phil dynamic as father-son ( because cc!wil never lets go of his and phil dynamic after smpe! )
You kinda realize that if their relationship are just friends q!wil excuse for treating q!phil wouldnât be look over by the fandom this hard
Hell if the person who are âfatherâ is q!wilbur his interaction with q!philza would not be going look over so much!
Them back at the maze q!wil despite the fact that he never been there calling q!phil that he doesnât care about his child calling him that he werenât doing enough
It not a valid answer that q!wilbur treating q!phil like shit because âphil answer him about the maze are unclearâ YOU STILL DONT TREAT PEOPLE YOU CARE LIKE THAT!
especially the one that been taking care of your child ! while still having his own!!!
âThey both are wrong in the maze!â
I strongly disagree with that statement Imagine raising a child for 6+ months and being there for them in every pain they have helping them grow up to deal with their disappearance ALONE.
And getting yourself kidnapped along the way when you try to find them
To get called that âyou don't care about them at all do youâ IS WILD
Him just lashing out is like a minimal reaction to me tbh
One things I do understand q!wil pov that he is overwhelmed since everything around him is new.
( that still doesnât give him any right to treat q!phil like that btw )
but I donât think q!wil realize that q!phil have responsibilities more than just him.
All the ways to the maze Phil constantly getting whisper ( in canon I called them text Ig lmao ) that he needed to be in this mission not only for the information but for other islanders especially in order to help them as well
And he did told wil about this! that this may be the only chance to see if the federation know anything about tallulah! He did tell him that! And Wil still wanted to leave!
So Phil before lashing out told wil a lots of info that are very important but people just ignoring it
ps. I honestly just don't want a c!phil treatment to happened to q!phil since I still see people calling c!tommy c!philâs child đ
So in conclusion, being family doesnât give any character right to treat other like ass ty for listening to my ted talk/ rambler
( I genuinely think that q!wilbur is a good father for tallulah they care about each other so much and all of the story components you can tell but can we please stop bringing c!fundy to q!wilbur story like I see a lots of people saying that llulah get a father fundy never had and I am like bro they are different character and have nothing related to each other đđđđ )
To the qsmp people that don't know much about Phil:
As some of you may or may not know, Phil's character in the qsmp cannonically is a crow avian. One of the main parts of his character is that he really loves to fly! That is not just because he's a crow that is also becuse Phil himself loves to fly! Not only does he love it, but he is reaaaaaally good at it! Some of you have seen popular clips of him flying around, showing off his skills, the more popular ones being void surfing, terra swoop force, and mcc.
But I haven't seen anyone share the old clips of him using the elytra back BEFORE USING ROCKETS TO FLY WAS EVEN A THING!!!
WELL THAT ALL CHANGES TODAY >:D
THIS CLIP HERE IS SO FUCKING COOL!!! It not only shows his game knowledge, but his abilities with the elytra back then. The video explains it but fuck it, I'll also explain it here: Basically Phil wanted to prove one of his friends wrong after they said that he can't find the end islands without coordinates. Phil uses SOUND just to go get where he needs to be! It's so cool and you MUST WATCH IT RAGHHH
Philza comes with his evidence backpack, and Cellbit wants the ground to swallow him whole. Too much, its too much, he can't-
"Is now a bad time?" Philza asks, concerned but voice still light. "I can come back Friday?"
"No," Cellbit sighs. "No, I guess... Just..."
He waves a hand in a direction, and hopes Philza can make some sense of it.
"..." Philza doesn't move. "You alright mate? You seem a bit... off?"
"I'm just tired," Cellbit replies. "I just..."
Does he say, does he not? Philza has been one of his few defenders on this island, trusting him even when there's been nothing to trust, thinking on his wavelength and beside him.
He has to, doesn't he?
Cellbit can't make this sort of decision and tell anyone.
"I'm stepping down," Cellbit says. "From investigating. Cucurucho... I'm not working for the Federation, but I can't keep working against them either. Can we just... I'm sorry, I'm sorry I can't be what you need me to be."
"You're not? But-" Philza's brow furrows, and Cellbit fears the yelling he heard in the maze.
He didn't hear the words, but he heard the tone; he knows he is too exhausted to survive that.
"Please, Philza," he says. "Let it rest. The Federation, the Order... I have no part in them any more. Good luck. I hope you find what you're looking for someday."
There is a long pause and Cellbit thinks, maybe, that the silence is worse than the yelling could ever have been.
"Alright," Philza's voice is gentle as he deflates. "Alright... I understand."
Cellbit expects that to be that, watching Philza put the evidence bag away. It stings more than he thought it would, but even that struggles to bring him strength through the haze. He has failed Philza - failed everyone - in giving up. So of course he is now turned away. He knows he's only wanted for what he can give, why did he expect different?
But then the bag is gone, and Philza is still there. He reaches out, takes one of Cellbit's hands, and cradles it in his own. Calloused hands are soft and gentle, and Cellbit understands why so many on the island call him father.
It doesn't feel as teasing any more.
"Are you safe?" Philza asks. "Cucurucho isn't going to come down on your ass, is he?"
He is. Cellbit cannot answer - he just wants to sleep.
But maybe none is needed, because Philza's grip tightens a little, before thumbs start to smooth over Cellbit's knuckles.
"Fuck," Philza says, then he breathes. "Alright. We've got you, King. If anything happens, I'll be there as soon as I can. Don't worry about that dumbass bear, okay? No matter what there are people here who love you, and we will save you."
Cellbit closes his eyes, and nods, and tries to be strong again. He opens his mouth, and-
"None of that," Philza interrupts. "I do it because I want to. Now, when's Roier coming to bed? I don't really want to leave you alone right now, mate."
There's something in Philza's tone, but Cellbit doesn't care to interpret it. Instead he shrugs, "not sure. But really, I'll be fine. I just need to rest."
"I'll bet," Philza looks almost heartbroken as he says it. "Let's get you somewhere safe, then. You good to warp to my place? Phil and Missa?"
"Why?" Cellbit manages to ask as he takes out his warpstone.
"I'm not going to ask you to show me your bedroom, Cellbit. I can make choices about my privacy, not yours."
It sounds so obvious like that, but it's not quite the question he meant. Still, Cellbit just follows along. It's easier, far easier, to just get whatever this is over with so he can get home and to his bed.
He warps and, as soon as he arrives, Philza takes his hand again. He's led to the hatch, and down - "be careful on the ladder" Philza reminds him - to the children's room. Then, not content to leave him there, Philza takes him to the right, through another two security doors - its not hidden, but its certainly protected - to a room all in orange. Around the walls are photographs, and there's an enchantment table in the centre, but Cellbit does not really think of that.
"This is Chayanne's room," Philza smiles sadly as he says it. "But, I'm sure he won't mind. Here, if we just-"
Cellbit tries to make a response, to compliment it, to offer condolences, but instead he is led to the side of the stairs, and then beneath them. Tucked away there, in the dim, behind five security doors and still hidden, is a heap of mattresses, covered in blankets and pillows and even the odd bean bag.
"Get yourself comfortable," Philza pushes him a little towards the pile. "I just need to adjust the doors. Make sure Roier can get in, and Felps. Pretty sure Fit just lets Pac and Mike in anyway. And Forever," Philza's breath hitches very slightly, almost inaudibly. "has access anyway."
Philza hurries off, and Cellbit remains where he was left. He doesn't need the mothering, he is sure, but- But maybe it is nice, to not have to think.
He thinks so much, for everyone, what's wrong with this?
Soon enough Philza is back, carrying two bowls of something.
"I've let Roier know where you are, and Felps as I saw he was awake," Philza says as he passes over a bowl. "I know I ain't your family, but hopefully... Anyway, Chayanne made these before he vanished, always was a better cook than me. Just heated it through - I'm sure he wouldn't have minded it being shared."
"Are you sure?" Cellbit asks. "This is your son's? I'm not-"
"Eat," Philza is a little more pushy this time, even as he sits on the mattresses himself. "You're family, if you want to be. A bit extended, but aren't we all? Forever is my family and he's also yours, and that makes us family too. By some definition, anyway."
"Oh," it's said so simply, and Cellbit has no mind for a puzzle right now. Instead he takes the bowl of soup, and he drinks it.
They eat in silence and, once done, Philza tucks both of the bowls away. Cellbit is nudged again towards the mattresses as Philza cleans up, placing his hat and his coat beside the nest.
Great, ruined wings shudder a little to escape their hole, and despite the feather growth over them Cellbit can see the scars still deep in the flesh, the unevenness where muscle has been ripped away, how they shake with the effort of holding themselves up.
He feels like he needs to do something, to have some response to seeing such fantastic wings laid low - or perhaps to the trust shown to him in their display - but he's just...
He's just tired.
Philza is a little unsteady as he, too, comes into the nest. He shifts the pillows and the blankets and opens his arms and Cellbit- Cellbit can't.
He can't be being offered this, he barely knows Philza, he can't be trusted this much, not when people so much closer to him don't. It feels like a lie, a kind one at that.
"Come on Cellbit," Philza says. "I don't have all night; some of us sleep at reasonable hours, you know?"
"It's not unreasonable," Cellbit manages to retort, even as he gives in.
Stone crumbles to the wave, in time; Cellbit pulls off his outer layers, and slowly climbs into the nest.
Crawls into Philza's arms.
The arms close around him, and ruined wings hide him from sight.
"There we go," Philza whispers. "You've done well, more than enough. Just rest now, mate; I'll keep things ticking over in the meantime."
Cellbit doesn't want things to stay 'ticking over', he just wants them to end. Part of him knows he doesn't really, that he'll want those things later, if only because Cucurucho /will/ betray him, and Forever still isn't home, and its only with them carrying on that anyone he loves will be safe.
Philza runs a hand through his hair; Cellbit's thoughts still.
It's a little while before either of them speaks. To his own surprise Cellbit is the one to do so, with another childish feeling question, another "why?"
"Because I trust you," Philza replies. "And if I trust you, I care about you. If I trust you, you are my flock, and it fucking sucks right now, but we take care of each other. You're alive? That's /all/ I need from you, mate, just for you to stay alive."
Cellbit wishes it was that simple, he really does.
"If I'm here, your house isn't safe," he tries to reason, unsure why he's even fighting it now.
Philza holds him a little tighter, "if my flock safe, what's the point of a house? I'd take you to the real nest, but human lungs don't like being that high for long."
Real nest? Cellbit didn't think Philza had a secret base. It's a better kept secret than most on the server, it seems. To even know it exists, and presumably in the sky...
The idea is crushed by exhaustion, and apathy, and a desperate, desperate need to sleep.
Fingers brush in his hair once more.
"I've got you," Philza says. "Get some rest, mate; nobody will hurt you here."
And if they do, Cellbit has no doubt Philza's scythe will find its way into their eyes.
He curls up, presses his head to Philza's chest, and desperately tries to sleep.
hello im otto posting Again but im writing this in an attempt to understand this subject myself (and totally not as a reference for laterâŠ) and also bc some people in the fandom seemed to be confused on Why ottos so angry at the moment. but i really think the key reason why hes so mad at subaru right now comes from this: otto treasures the people he cares about far above anyone elseâto the point where if he needs to make sacrifices, he absolutely will because the people he cares about (his friends in emilia camp) go First before everyone else in his mind.
like. thats ottos key reason for everything hes been doing in arc 8. all his other reasoning branches off from thatâlike him wanting to leave vollachia for dead and only take the people his camp cares about. otto sees the path that will keep his camp safestâie just going into vollachia to rescue rem and subaru and then immediately getting outâand he chooses that rather than subaru and emilias more noble approach of refusing to leave vollachia and its population of 50 million people to die. otto himself is aware that his own strategy is Callous, especially after roswaal told him in chapter 24 that he agrees with ottos proposed strategy of just leaving vollachia. but otto thinks that its 1. entirely necessary and 2. he Knows that thats the optimal way to keep the emilia camp safe.
he knows that staying in vollachia and helping vincent is a massive risk to his whole camp. otto being a merchant values equivalent exchange and Hates too much cost, which is On Top of otto knowing that going out of their way to help vollachia is risking the entire emilia campâs lives. but otto Knows subaru and emilia. and he knows that subaru and emilia are idealists at heart that will do everything they can to save Everyone, which is why despite being Extremely Unhappy about all of this, otto plays hard to get so vincent is the one who asks for their help. that way, at least the decision to help vollachia looks more like accepting the request of vollachias emperor and adding more accomplishments under their belt and Less Like just going out of their way to vollachia for no benefit at all.
otto valuing his camp above everything else is also why he creates distance between himself and julius and anastasia and emphasizes that theyre enemies. for otto, its Absolutely the emilia camp above everyone else.
then theres the whole louis situation. otto, of course, knows that subaru cares about louis Despite everything shes done.
so. essentially. i think ottos extremely pissed about subaru always going out of his way to try and be a hero because otto knows this comes at a Detriment to subaru (bc otto CARES about subaru!!! he knows subaru is WAY too selfless and forgiving and he cant agree with that!!!) and otto worries for the cost of subarus decisions, especially with the current conflict regarding louis. otto has accepted that, unlike the majority of his camp, that he has to be the Bad Guy. because in ottos mind, no one else in his camp is going to be bold enough to be the ruthless morally questionable one. he thinks its 100% necessary to play this role to minimize the costs and threats to his camp.
which is why he hasnt told anyone, despite knowing this from his dp, that louis/spica is innocent.
hes fully aware thatâeven though hes manipulating his own campâlouis will be more likely to be eliminated if he keeps quiet about the fact that she has Zero malice. louis being eliminated means one less threat to his camp. and otto KNOWS that subaru cares about louis and is upset at the idea of her dying (which is at least partly why otto snapped at julius in chapter 23!!), but ottos decided that killing louis comes at a far less cost than keeping her alive. because keeping her alive means dealing with the consequences of the emilia camp calling her an ally and rem and subaru recognizing her as their daughter when louis has affected So Many people. otto knows this and wants to prevent it at all costs.
otto wants her dead for these reasons. otto figures that he has to be the one walking in darkness bc he not only wants to help emilia and subaru and preserve their idealism (bc he Knows that its important to them!! its who they are at heart and he cares about them in turn bc of their kindness and goodness!!!), but otto also wants to help by being the necessary evil. because someone has to.
that, of course, wont stop otto from being pissed at subarus decisions. this also, of course, wont stop subaru from being pissed if he ever finds out otto withheld the fact that he knows louis is 100% innocent just so he can make sure that 1. the rest of emilia camp stays suspicious of louis and 2. louis gets killed. i really do think ottos questionable decisions will eventually catch up to himâbecause he stands in direct opposition to everything subaru stands for.
subaru wants to save everyone. he wants to have it all, even if it costs him. otto, meanwhile, chooses only who he cares about because hes not idealistic enough to believe he can have everything, and he believes that sacrifices have to be made even if its cruel. and he knows that subaru cant do that, but it still angers him because hes trying to keep subaru safe while subaru insists on trying to accomplish everything without sacrificing anyone. otto doesnt think its possible at all. but otto knows its not in subarus nature to be pragmatic.
which is why otto takes A Lot of the things subaru has been doing in arc 8 Extremely Personally. because its Very personal for otto.
He then proceeded to, among *many* other things, punch him in the face, literally bite his hand, and spit blood on his clothes
betrayal kiss
i call this the âsubaru coparenting three blond childrenâ chart
thinking about him and his poetic lore again.
phil, who is already dealing with the loss/damaging of his wings on top of knowing the eggs have been gone and that he has to tell wilbur. phil, whoâs trying his best to have fun/cope and doesnât like the mini-mes because nothing could replace/distract him from chayanne or tallulah. phil, who distances himself from crowds because itâs just too much sometimes and he needs the quiet to concentrate. phil, who snaps at wilbur after being told that he doesnât care enough when heâs KNOWN for being a fatherly figure who would drop anything for his children and even children that arenât his. phil, whoâs a clipped bird being shoved inside a cage and then forced back out into a cruel world that doesnât understand that heâs tired.
he just gives me so many writing ideas, itâs ridiculous.
fellas.
fellas remember how cucurucho showed up when phil was looking for the sunbird. he showed up and gave him a mission of getting loot an equipment from dungeons -not only get it, but even KEEP IT. and then afterwards the rewards he got were totems, golden apples and enchanted apples -survival items.
he saw philza following a bird that kept getting away, phil told him "i've been chasing it for like half an hour" and all that cucurucho said was "his responsability to catch it". and then hours later, after phil did the dungeons and called cucurucho to get the rewards for his task, cucurucho asked "in the end did you capture that sunbird?" and when phil said "yeah, it took almost two hours but i did it" the only response was "GOOD JOB :)"
i may have a chronic case of "my cubito is the center of the universe" but methinks it almost seemed like they were preparing him for a search mission of some kind idk
anyways, on a completely unrelated note, yall remember how they mentioned that they would select someone to go to the nether to continue the exploration for the eggs and the president now that forever went missing? haha what a silly thing to gloss over, im sure it's not important
I've been thinking about why q!philza seems to be able to understand and read q!forever and the situations about him for a while now, and now I'm finally able to type out this full ramble so bear with me.
First I wanna say this post is in no way saying that Philza is the only person that understands and knows Forever, there are multiple characters that understand and know him, but I wanna focus specifically on Philza because he might as well be the most curious one to analyze: Other characters that understand Forever are generally his close friends, whom he spends a lot of time with. Meanwhile, Philza and Forever, thanks to the ccs timezones, don't get to hang out quite as much. They are friends, yes, but we don't often see them interacting like philza and the morning crew do, or forever with Cellbit, bbh and baghera, you know? Like, in character, most characters probably don't even understand how their bond actually plays off and how much they trust each other, etc etc.
So, why is it that Philza can understand Forever and the situations around Forever very well? He doesn't always gets it perfectly, obviously, but he always gets at least some parts right. What is it that makes Philza comprehend him?
And the more I think about it, the more I realize that this might be because Philza, out of all the characters, might be the character who has one of the closest audience perspective on Forever.
Now I know that sounds insane but PLEASE, hear me out. Of course, he doesn't have as much knowledge of Forever as the audience, especially cause he doesn't stream everyday and timezones and stuff so he does misses on a lot, but the thing is that Philza was the only character who was there for every single thing that is crucial to understand Forever.
How many people in character knows how much of an impact Tallulah's death left on Forever? I genuinely think Philza is the only one- they thought together that day and he was there to see how down Forever got after she died. On the same day, he also saw the sparks of what would become the ninho project later- him, Forever and Chayanne talked about egg protection rules, such as the safe room, and thought about ways they could use those rules to the maximum. Then there was Bobby's death, which lead Forever to pick up what he talked about the day of Tallulah's death and dedicate himself to this big project to protect all the eggs. He saw Forever's dedication to this project, dropping everything he was doing just to grantee the eggs safety. He sees how much Tallulah's and Bobby's death impacted Forever. He was also there when the whole Quackity taking Richas away and Cellbit traitor thing happened and he was there to cheer Forever up. These three things are *crucial* to understand Forever's character. And Philza night as well be the only one who was there to witness how all these situations actually impacted Forever- again, this isn't to say other characters don't know, understand or comprehend Forever, because other characters do, but Philza specifically stands out to me because he really was there for the initial things that ended up guiding Forever as a character.
the fight between wilbur and phil just. echoes in my head. partly because it's the most intense they've ever been to each other in rp (from what i know) and partly because goddddddddddddddd god how did we not see that coming. wilbur's been away for months; at this point he might as well not know anything about the island. he expressed multiple times that he has no idea what's going on; he has no context. he sees people joking and laughing and hyping themselves up to go on missions he doesn't understand and calling him hatsune miku. nary a mention of the eggs, not even in cellbit's big rallying speech. it's no wonder he didn't think anything was wrong. so when he's hit over the head with the news that the eggs are missing...
the eggs are missing, and the apparent determination and effort of the parents is collected into a group of people running down a sewer and giggling about a goldfish's memory? these people must be insane. at the least, they must not care that much.
and here's phil, trotting along and laughing too, going along with people that wilbur isn't sure they should trust (because he doesn't know them, why should he?), like his son isn't missing, like his granddaughter isn't missing. tallulah, who's been taken away before wilbur can come back to her. tallulah, with whom he still needs to meet again, to see just how much she's grown. what are they doing?
i do find it funny that later, he then says everyone else is "panicking". sure guy. it's not like you lost your cool earlier because you're missing crucial information or anything. okay.
so here's wilbur, accusing everyone of not doing anything, accusing phil of slacking, stating that they're clearly not taking it seriously enough when they have and it's tiring; i mean, imagine keeping that up for a month. phil and the others have worked tirelessly scrounging up scraps of what you can barely call evidence. and wil is saying it's nothing, that they have done nothing, which in a sense they have, but at the same time is so wrong, because how have they done everything and nothing? how is there still nothing after a month?
it's just bleach in a wound, and philââoh phil, who's been aching so bad since they've gone, who calls out to them futilely, who fell into a coma dreaming that he almost found them, who grit his teeth at each and every teasing "clue" he findsââwell, he snaps.
he's frustrated. all the tears, all the hunting, all the running around like headless chickensââsure, they could be being a bit silly, they could be fools for following the federation's every whim, but at this point they've exhausted everything, all of their ideas, so any fucking hope they can get they'll grab it and watch it disappear like smoke through the slits of their fingers themselves, because it's nice to have something in the palm of your hand for even a second. and then there's wilbur even suggesting that cellbit might be a traitor, when he's one of the people phil trusts the most, enough to share the evidence with. so of course he accuses wilbur of letting tallulah rot. wilbur doesn't understand. of course he doesn't. he hasn't been on the island.
in a sense they're both right. the federation lead ultimately led to nothing but a new toy, and wilbur is painfully naive as to believe that tallulah is just hiding around the island, blissfully unaware that the main theory right now is that she's probably in another dimension. he doesn't even know about the nether.
it's so. augh. phil and wilbur really out here reminding us that yeah, they are roleplay powerhouses and they will devastate all of us when put together in high-stress situations. god. gotta love them for that
No but I need to emphasize how different everything that happened with Philza was in regards to his "Kidnapping" (I'll explain why I'm putting that in air quotes in a moment) and why I'm still losing my shit about it.
For one, it's the DISTANCE. I've been looking through every other instance of kidnapping - it's almost always at spawn or at the federation building, or if they're thrown in jail it's instantaneous, like a bag thrown over someone's head. Phil's WASN'T. It was a note that directed him 10,000 blocks away, next to a waystone that only he has, telling him not to bring anything. They WANT him alone, isolated and out of the way, but not in the same way as the others; they don't want to deal with him, they just want him GONE.
That brings me to my next point - the notes. Other notes have just been passwords, coordinates, ect - but not for Philza. They wrote an entire story, taunted him, BLAMED him for not being there for his children, then told him to leave everything behind and come to the coordinates. It almost reads more than a ransom note than the usual Federation instructions. Then, when he gets there? It's another one. His own words, TAUNTING him, LAUGHING at him.
And again, we move onto the next point - the BIRDHOUSE. This isn't normal. The Federation doesn't DO this. Everyone else was taken to existing buildings, the underground complex, the prison, but Phil? Not Phil. They built an ENTIRE BIRDHOUSE for him, lured him inside with the promise of his children and left him caged and alone - far from everyone, far from his friends, his home, ANYTHING. This is PERSONAL.
This brings me to my last point - whenever someone else is "Kidnapped" they get kicked - something done to show their character has been knocked out, or taken in some way. Phil, though? He wasn't. He wasn't knocked out, he wasn't frozen, nothing like that.
Alone. Beating against the walls, surrounded by caged birds he can't free, in a cage he can't escape, with no possible way of getting out or getting into contact with people. He's trapped in every sense of the word, and there's nothing he can do but just watch the days tick by as madness sets in - because that's what happens when you trap a bird in a cage.
This isn't the usual Federation way of doing things. This is a demonstration; they're making an EXAMPLE of him, because he rebelled. He attacked their building, he demanded answers, and they showed him that THAT'S NOT HOW THINGS WORK ON QUESADILLA ISLAND.
This isn't a Kidnapping, it's a Punishment - and who knows if Phil is going to be the same if/when they're done?
we're gonna be eating so good tomorrow because LISTEN LISTEN OKAY THE JAIDENS? COMEDY GOLD, BRILLIANT, SHOWSTOPPING, SILLY AS FUCK.
but think of the plans to get q!forever off the pills. the tension, the seriousness, the full minutes of silence as q!phil and q!bad were down there just waiting for the perfect second to strike.
group missions are usually the silliest things in the world but this group is the only one i can see taking this heist with a level of seriousness and sobriety rarely seen during qsmp events and i CANNOT WAIT.
MY HEART. Iâm rewatching the philza vod from Friday and like -
âDid cucurucho give you your wings back or like they.. -?â The way he said it, how quiet it was.
âHm?â
âDid cucurucho give you your wings back or like did they just kind of like.. did they self heal.â HIS VOICE IS SO QUIET AND HESITANT I AM NOT OKAY.
WHY DOES HE KEWP STARING AT THEM IM GONNA SCREWM.
âI mean i always hadâem.â
IMMEDIATE CHANGE OF TONE, how he normally talks, louder, âoh! Oh they werenât - okay.â Then conversation change.
Phil - when I get you Phil? Phil when I get you? When I get you Phil?
"You know what Will you can leave while Tallulah probably rots somewhere while I am gonna actually do something. So be my fuckin guest and get out of my sight"
- Philza Minecraft
when he comes back i genuinely want phil to be angry
at the islanders at the federation, i dont know, but to SOMEONE
and i want people to see him angry. like actually angry. him with his scythe, and his axe and maybe his wings back and fighting something in just. quiet rage.
i want them to see him bring up the over 50 withers worth of skulls he has, and how he's going to raise this island to the ground if his children are not back
and i want everyone to be TERRIFIED of him
honestly, if we do get a heist type mission with cellbit, etoiles, philza and badboyhalo, this would be absolutely enriching for ME PERSONALLY. like.
yes, the jaidens were fun to watch. the pendejotrio following codeflippa was fun to watch. every other sneak mission has been fun to watch in the same way that a slapstick comedy parodying spy movies are fun to watch.
now the happy pills final? that was fucking suspense cinema.
the way the different parties had their own conversationswith forever. the way they came together to try and find a solutions. the planning. the trieal and error while it all happened. and then the fucking tension as bad and phil prepared the last bits of the trap while cellbit distracted forever and pac? them going through every single possibility, filesafes about leaving the piston on so he couldnt use the elevator, reinforced cages, clocks, the lasso...
all of that to conclude in (to me at least) the most satisfying confrontation between players in the entire server history as of yet.
and that was only bad, cellbit and phil.
you add etoiles? and i absolutely believe those four could dismantle the federation by themselves with their own bare hands in about 20 minutes flat.
