It's currently 3 am here, I'm sitting on my bed, currently questioning my existence, wondering what on earth did that author sprinkled on their fanfiction to turn it into such masterpiece. 6th year & jily are just friends, absolutely nothing between them. james has forced himself to be okay with just being friends. then its valentines day & lily asks if he wants to hang out with her as friends since neither of them have dates (no one asked them out because they've literally been spending every moment with each other so everyone assumes they're dating), & james agrees.

they proceed to spend the entire valentines day together. first waking up early & going on a run together then chatting over heart shaped pancakes (which were normal pancakes but they charmed them to be 'in theme with the holiday'), then they go to the library & lily reads whilst james draws, & she reads out passages to him that she thinks he'd like & he's drawing her. then they go out to the hills & have a picnic together, where james grows her flowers & gifts her chocolates & a necklace and lily then gifts him a homemade card & a watch. then they go to slughorn's classroom & james fulfills his detention cleaning cauldrons whilst lily practices making a potion, but they end up james helping her with the potion & then cleaning together. afterwards they go to the common room & play chess by the fireplace & charades against sirius, remus, and pete. then they sneak to the kitchens & grab a bunch of food which they then take to sneak out to the quidditch pitch & have dinner in the quidditch stands, james lighting candles around so they can see better. they then fly around the pitch for a bit before going back to the stands for dessert & and wine and then laying in each other's arms as they talk and stargaze.

idk but it's just so weird whenever I see any character being shipped with another person even though they are happily married and will literally sacrifice each other for the love they have for each other 😐😐. It's just so icky, like there are plenty other characters for you to pair up with Regulus but you chose James. James Potter who was literally head over heels for Lily Evans and I have no idea why they thought that it was a good idea to ship him with a said death eater who was literally one of the reasons Sirius left his home. I mean, if it was a gay relationship, surely y'all wouldn't have done the vice versa right? That'll be greatly offensive. But since Lily's a woman so it's okay! I get it not everyone has the same taste, but I'm sharing my opinion.

The entire premise of Jegulus is so clearly rooted in fetish and misogyny cause some people can’t be normal about gay men.

There are SO MANY better ways to add depth to Regulus’ character, his relationship with his brother and cousins!! Give the black sisters some depth too while you’re at it. His character is SO interesting but it’s constantly watered down to James’ twink. Nothing wrong with Regulus being gay as a HC but it’s WEIRD to make fanfics about James (who loved Lily for YEARS) cheating on her. It’s weird!! It’s icky!! It’s misogynistic!!

Jily losing all its popularity is genuinely baffling to me because their relationship is YEARNING AND LOYALTY. James died for her and she died for their son. Reducing her character to a baby maker for Regulus and James to raise is WEIRD. Especially when Regulus was canonically a deatheater. A death eater who hated muggle borns—which Lily IS. WHY would James be anywhere near Regulus.

He keeps losing chunks of himself. His eye, his nose, his leg - probably far more scars and hunks missing out of him than can be counted, enough to leave him looking like a gnarled old tree. Cursed off. They can't be healed properly, they can't grow back. And he is old, even in the first war he is still grey.

But he just keeps coming back. Whenever he does he drags a handful of Death Eaters with him.

You're a Death Eater and you manage to survive an encounter with Moody. You saw he had a chunk blown out of his face and his leg destroyed - good. He surely wont be back on the field after that... WRONG. He is back. Looking less and less 'human' he comes back to the fight, over and over again, no matter what is taken from him.

While I don't consider Hogwarts Legacy canon - Professor Aesop Sharp retired from being an Auror after simply having his leg injured. A good move btw, love him. But Moody just keeps pushing like a monster.

And so this Rosier, the real Evan Rosier, the one who died in 1981 fighting aurors, is probably the same Rosier who was one of the OG DEs that is mentioned in HBP.

Which makes sense, an older dark wizard, who was one of Tom’s first followers, would be more magically skilled than someone who just graduated a few years ago.

Not saying you can’t call Marauders Era Rosier “Evan,” I personally choose to believe that Marauders Era Rosier is the son of Evan Rosier and he’s named after his father, so we have a Jr. and Sr. situation like with the Crouches, But technically someone making Marauders Era Rosier a woman named Clara or something, who never encountered Moody in combat, is more canon compliant than making Marauders Era Rosier the DE that hexed off that hunk of Moody’s nose.

common criticism i see of remus lupin is that he should've taken in harry as a baby (forseeing his mistreatment by the dursleys) but petunia is harry's blood relative. she is a mother, financially stable, and physically and psychologically capable; she and vernon are ostensibly fit to accept a second child. meanwhile, remus is a single 21-year-old who can never have stable employment. he can't afford childcare while he's working/wolfing. even if he had money, his mental state (likely the worst of his depression) is in shambles after the deaths of his friends and comrades. his furry problem would be a danger to harry. he no longer has a strong support system. he is in no state to, especially by himself, figure out how to care for an infant, raise a child, and protect this very very high-profile boy from politics, violence, and literally himself. and remus never checks up on harry or visited him, because he trusts dumbledore implicitly and can't imagine that his childhood would be unsafe. i think he wouldn't presume that petunia could mistreat harry either. he's friends with james, but doesn't seem to know lily that well (lily's letters talk about sirius, but never remus) so maybe he doesn't know of her hatred for wizards.
