Zainab Cobbold (Lady Evelyn Murray) was a Scottish Muslim diarist, traveller and noblewoman who was known for her conversion to Islam in the Victorian era.
Cobbold spent much of her childhood in Algiers and Cairo in the company of Muslim nannies. She considered herself a Muslim from a young age despite not officially professing her faith until later.

Her story is interesting because it provides a peek into the lives of Victorian-era Muslims of Britian, such as herself and other historic pioneers such as Abdullah Quillam, Lord Headley and Marmaduke Pickthall, among others.
I don't know who needs to hear this out but; please, please don't give up on your deen. It doesn't matter how many sins you have done or for how long, just come back. Start again, try again, pray again, cry, yearn, JUST DON'T GIVE UP.
“Read to me”
“why?”
“Because you go somewhere else when you read. I want to go there with you.”

At this point, it's absurd to call Hamas anything but a resistance group that fights fair. We have seen thousands of videos and images of the idf killing, mocking, torturing and abusing Palestinian men, women and children in the most creative of ways. I have yet to see that from Hamas. Whoever condemns Hamas also condemns their right to self defence.
Hamas are made up mostly of orphans, orphaned by the hands of the idf. These people have every right to be angry, to resist living in an open air prison and being persecuted every day while the world sides with their oppressors. You'd be lying if you said you wouldn't be too, and yet they are not the ones indiscriminately killing civilians.
I'm tired of hearing 'I don't condone it but I can't blame them'. Stop beating around the bush and admit that you too would take up arms to defend yourself and your loved ones in the face of a brutal and unending occupation. Being passive doesn't bring about peace, it only allows ease in your destruction. Their rights, which were and have been taken by force for almost 80 years, can only be returned by force. That's a right none of us should speak against unless we're willingly giving up that right for ourselves.
May your imaan never leave you, may you always tread on the straight path with righteousness. May you be saved from the torment of the grave & from the punishment of the fire, may you be of the blessed residents of al-Firdaws, ameen ya rabb-il-'alameen.
“Oh Abu Dharr! Don’t look at the smallness of the sin but look at the One you disobeyed.”
