have you ever wondered: how the fuck did that owl just pop a perfect 180° kickflip with its goddam head?

well, good question! if you were to try it yourself, not only would you pop your noggin right off like your momma always warned you would happen if you kept leaning backwards over your chair like that, you'd also induce rapid brain death by kinking up the carotid arteries in your neck and preventing blood flow!

so how do owls pull this off?

well, two ways: the owl's carotid artery is buried deep inside their neck right next to their spine so it doesn't have very far to twist, aaaaaand also it turns out that owls have an emergency blood reserve right at the base of their skull.

this reserve is full of oxygenated blood that can be dumped directly to the owl's brain if they should happen to get a semi-lethal kink in their neck!

owie.

but this doesn't change the fact that every owl in existence is about one accident away from becoming the world's most morbid solo waterballoon fight, and you had no idea.

A lot of revolutionary, unprecedented things happened in 2020 — that... goes without saying

But among all the chaos, one thing I can be grateful for was the surge of queer representation in western animation

I feel lucky to be alive in this time of change, and I’m also excited for the younger generation who gets to grow up with these explicitly queer shows

It gives me hope that this kind of representation will make it easier for them to figure things out :’)

Diakko Math Problem Drabble

Diana stood in the rain, holding her fist against her chest while she told Akko that she had enough. She needed a break. Akko wasn't going to fight it - she understood. She'd give her time, but by the nine it still hurt. And so they went their separate ways, running away from the point where they confessed to each other in the first place. It was bittersweet but temporary; a moment to pause and reconsider. They'd come back - they both knew they would. But for now they had to walk away at the same time. In a hurry, Akko head north and ran at a rate of 8km/hr in a straight line. Diana, on the other hand, was more contemplative, walking east at the rate of 1km/hr. She wondered if things could have gone differently, and if space was needed in the first place. How fast are they separating from each other and what is the length of the hypotenuse of the triangle after formed after 30 minutes of walking?
