Food & eating habit - Moon& 2H

The weather is getting colder, it makes me want to talk about food. Since the Moon represents what nourishment we crave and the 2nd house is related to the physical body, the 5 senses, it's easy to find the link between the Moon, the 2nd house and our preference regarding food.

In my observation, the Moon shows the kind of food that you like (what), the 2nd house shows the way we like our food prepared (how).

Disclaimer: all the observations below are from my own subjective experiences, which can be affected by differences between cultures.

Moon in Aries/ in 1st house/ aspecting Mars: like dishes that have strong flavours (if it's fruit, it should be really sweet, really sour or both), a good amount of meat, don't really like carb, fast food, street food, snacks, can eat the same dish repeatedly without getting bored, might not fully understand the word "moderation" when it comes to their favourite dish or drink, loyal to their favourites (like the same thing since childhood), hot, crisp, crunchy

Moon in Taurus/ in 2nd house/ aspecting Venus: foodie, carb (all kinds of breads, noodles), dairy products, rich but pure or simple flavours and ingredients, oddly enough but they like bitter taste and aromatic scent of herbs, natural pleasant smell and colour (colours with artificial feel like blue, black in food is a turn-off), food served in large quantity, make sure that everybody is well-fed, they might be thrifty in other departments but would absolutely splurge on food, loyal to their favourites, hot or warm, freshly cooked, jelly/gummy/glutinous, springy, smooth

Moon in Gemini/ in 3rd house/ aspecting Mercury: they are not very picky about food, open to try all kinds of food, get fulled easily, snacks, like drinking (tea, beer, alcohol etc), attracted to things that have "assorted flavours" on the label, like colourful and cute stuffs, don't like flavours that are too strong or dishes that are too smelly, don't place too much importance on nutritional value of food (wholesome home cooked meals are nice, but they can stuff their belly with junk foods just fine), can be oblivious to their eating schedule, don't like hot dishes, small bites or small portions, all kinds of interesting textures

Moon in Cancer/ in 4th house: like home cooked meals, dairy products, also like drinking beverages similar to Moon in Gemini (can have high alcohol tolerance), noodles, stew and soup, porridge, sea food, can be quite picky, sensitive stomach, loyal to their favourite restaurants and dishes (to a stubborn degree), dishes that remind them of childhood or their childhood favourite dishes will have a special place in their heart, hot or at least warm, soft/airy texture or the opposite, hard/chewy texture

Moon in Leo/ in 5th house/ aspecting Sun: not too picky but they have a certain standard, the atmosphere around them when they are eating is very important (the food, the place, hygiene, manner etc), could naturally have a preference for expensive food, but they also like foods that are interesting (presentation, smell, texture), prefer meat over carb, like snacks and junk foods but with moderation, like nutty flavours, their eating habits and preference might stay the same since they were kids, like to play and experiment, warm and sumptuous meals, crisp, dislike oily dishes, ingredients in a dish should be distinguishable

Moon in Virgo/ in 6th house/ aspecting Mercury: they are picky and selective about their food, either by conscious choice or by natural, their body doesn't tolerate "unhealthy" foods, foods that have negative impacts on their body, could manifest as allergies, if the dishes are not well prepared and safe by their standards, even though they are their favourites, they won't eat them, many are vegetarians, get fulled easily, don't like hot dishes, ingredients should be cut into small pieces, pay attention to the colours of the ingredients (are they fresh or not, were they cooked right or not)

Moon in Libra/ in 7th house/ aspecting Venus: another picky eater, I find them to be even pickier than Virgo moon, and the reason for them not eating something is sometimes not because of health reason but because of aesthetic reason, they don't like food that make them uncomfortable and messy (make them sweat, make them cold, smell too strong, stick to their teeth, dirty their hands etc), can get nauseous by smells easily, sweet tooth, love carb, dislike fatty and oily dishes, like fancy and expensive food, know a lot of good restaurants, good table manner, master utensil user, fussy about the presentation of the dishes

Moon in Scorpio/ in 8th house/ aspecting Pluto: similar to moon in Aries, they like meat, can eat raw meat (sushi), raw food, seafood, they also like drinking all kind of beverages, prefer food and drink with strong flavours, sometimes extreme (salty, sour, bitter, sweet etc), binge eating their favourites, can lean into over-indulgence and excess but can also have great self-control, don't shy away from foreign, exotic dishes, like rich colours in food, sparkling, chewy, crunchy, super cold or super hot food

Moon in Sagittarius/ in 9th house/ aspecting Jupiter: fast eater, like to experiment with food, easy-going with their choices, like to try various kind of dishes, they want to try trendy dishes they heard about, but they don't like to spend too much money on food, they don't place too much importance on food but rather the experience associated with it, travel food diary, like street food, can binge eating their favourites

Moon in Capricorn/ in 10th house/ aspecting Saturn: slow eater, sensitive stomach, food allergies, sometimes they don't seem to enjoy food or the act of eating, don't like to waste food, even if they crave something, they won't binge eating it, restrained, don't like messy food, like seafood, like bite-size dishes, like to snack, like going out to eat but mostly for the opportunities to hang out with people, likely will go to places with good reviews and popular, good etiquette

Moon in Aquarius/ in 11th house/ aspecting Uranus: the most easy-going people when it comes to food, they try everything, doesn't decline food offers and tend to be the one finishes last at a meal because they don't want to waste food, they like to try those popular places with high reviews but doesn't discriminate cheap or expensive restaurants, love food tours, hang out with groups of friends to eat, good at using various types of utensils, like fresh, chewy texture

Moon in Pisces/ in 12th house/ aspecting Neptune: can be pretty stubborn about their preferences, if they like certain places or certain way of cooking, they will stick to those and don't want to try new things (probably because of their sensitive stomach), like eating with groups of friends, light eaters, like tea and coffee in general, high alcohol tolerance but don't drink excessively, don't really like sweets, have strong principles or moral code concerning food

Sun in the 12th, 7th or 6th House

Sun in the 12th usually find it very hard to express themselves and often get lost in their surroundings but they are chameleons and they can adapt to things very well, they need to learn to put their foot down and make their presence known.

Sun in the 7th usually feel like they are only defined through their relationships (not just romantic) and they can sometimes feel lost on their own but they are incredibly caring and are great at mediating, they just need some time to establish their independence.

Sun in the 6th usually feel that it is their purpose to serve others and that their self worth depends on how hard they work, this put immense strain on them but they are very diligent people who find joy in helping others, they just need to put some time aside for themselves.

Moon in Gemini, Aquarius, Pisces

Moon in Gemini find it hard to actually face their own emotions, never mind show anyone else. It’s not necessarily that they are scared of these emotions but rather, they usually can’t make sense of what they feel and they don’t feel it’s valid. They can be very refreshing people to be around but they need to stop thinking and just feel.

Moon in Aquarius over analyse everything and think they must come up with a scientific explanation for what they feel. The Saturn element of this sign restricts emotion and the need to feel, this person might feel that expressing themselves is a sign of weakness. On the Uranian side, this person usually has very strong and chaotic emotions bubbling beneath the stern exterior of Saturn.

Moon in Pisces are incredibly intuitive people but they are often very sensitive and this brings them a lot of emotional distress. This placement tends to take things to heart even if they know there was no harm intended. These people are very prone to escapism which makes reality and tough situations hard to deal with.

Mercury in the 12th House makes a person “easily walked over”. These people may feel invisible or unheard. They also may have a very muddled state of mind. They lose concentration quite easily and aren’t very organised. However, they are very dreamy and almost have an ethereal vibe about them.

Mercury in Scorpio finds it hard to connect with people or make small talk. They enjoy talking about things considered taboo and are not afraid to do so, however it is hard to find people that will feel comfortable with such. Venus in Cancer may become too dependent on their partner. They are naturally insecure and clingy, depending on the partner this can be a problem. Mars in the 7th, Cancer, Libra

Mars in the 7th creates a lot of potential tension with personal relationships. This person may find conflict within romantic relationships, or may even feel like they need it.  Because this is the house of relationships and open enemies, it is not uncommon for someone with Mars in the 7th to have a fair few enemies. These are the people that will fight for love and fairness. They are protective and will fight anyone upsetting the people they love.

Mars in Cancer finds it hard to be assertive with their temper so they resort to passive aggression. These people may become manipulative when hurt or unhappy and may be unable to communicate this productively. These are also the people who are incredibly protective of their loved ones.

Mars in Libra is a very tricky placement as Libra is the sign of justice and peace, they do not like conflict. Mars in Libra may find it hard to fight for what they want as they mainly like to keep others happy and prevent fights before they start. Having Saturn in the 1st house makes a person quite self-conscious. They find it very hard to be comfortable with themselves and can come across very serious or strict. They usually have had a lot of responsibility thrown on them at a very young age and need to learn how to move on from it. These people mature very quickly, choose their battles well and make sure everything is working how it should. 

Saturn in the 3rd makes a person find it very hard to communicate. They may have some learning difficulty that restricts this communication and may cause a lot of conflict as a result of bad communication. These people are usually very creative and may find that they communicate better through creative means.

Saturn in the 6th may indicate a lot of health problems or even the likes of hypochondria. These people are stressed out easily when things aren’t in order and are usually quite hard on themselves. They work incredibly hard to make sure everything is how it should be and health is usually a big thing for them.

Above are Meal Plans for each sign. These are based off ingredients typically associated with each sign along with some of their personality. For example Leo and Capricorn have more gourmet and advanced meals. The Earth element is probably most associated with meat than the other elements, but Virgo is associated with staying healthy and a whole lot of herbs and veggies which is why theirs is so vegetable heavy. Can't forget Libra's sweet tooth. Sagittarius is all about the "exotic" but exotic is going to depend on where you're from. They are also associated with tomatoes, ginger, lemongrass, mangos, and many other foods.

collectively, we are about to be so financially shifted and wealthy in 2025. i feel like 2025 is going to be everything we've been praying for and working hard for. the plot twist to a new beginning. God is getting ready to pave the way for us. this is what i feel in my spirit for all of us women.

The isolated Lovers : Saturn in the 5th & 11th

I think Saturn in the 5th and Saturn in the 11th people are the hardest to get to know. Saturn in the 5th can take intimacy as a whole extremely serious which makes it harder for potential love interest to decipher whether or not your actions make a difference with them. Saturn in the 11th housers take their futures and long term goals seriously so it can seem as if they have a countinuous high growing wall of separation to those who are trying to become their friends or invite them into a social circle and or group. Saturn in the 5th housers can seem more stoic and somber than a Capricorn sun. And Saturn In the 11th housers can seem more detached and impersonal than Aquarius moons.

To get close to these individuals takes TIME! Instant gratification types won’t work well with these people as they need time to get comfortable with the idea of YOU. They don’t jump into any type of commitment no matter what or how good it seems on the onset. Both of these types of people think about long term and wether or not what the person is offering them will stand the test of time.

If they give you their time, isolate themselves, get a tad bit more serious and dry or even let you know things about their personal life that causes them to take things slow then they have feelings for you and you’ve likely tugged their heart strings in a way! Good for you :). So just stay confident and positive and they’ll soon open up even more but this time on a deeper emotional level! These natives are very romantic and traditional in their approach but man oh man will they give you everything they have! They tend to make their love interest their world so they often times take quite a bit of time to make sure they are healthy emotionally to handle such a deep commitment.

Saturn in the 11th house: “I want to be seen…really seen, seen for what I am, not what they want me to be”

These people are naturally detached and have a streak of impersonal approaches to people and society as a whole. To some people this impersonal attitude can seem like a magnet or attraction as they have no problem at attracting admirers, friends and lovers alike. That being said these people tend to be Hard as hell to get close too, dare I say even more so then Saturn in the 5th. They don’t like intimacy mainly because they’d have to be vulnerable and show their soft parts, the parts they work so hard to hide. Friendships tend to be an area of seriousness for them because they’ve been so used and taken advantage of by others as they grew up. These natives learn early on not to trust the situations that seem so easy and fun, they aren’t the types to hold tight to people for long and have no problem letting people go or moving on as if it were absolutely nothing. It may seem harsh but these people simply just don’t need you and won’t pretend like they do, they are far beyond that. If you intend to get close to them you have to understand Saturn isn’t uncomfortable in the house of Aquarius! Saturn co rules Aquarius after all. These natives value authenticity and stability. They are tremendously goofy and spacious individuals who are actually pretty dark and ingenious! They crave being able to express their true selves around people who understand and somewhat relate to their crazy out there personalities. Because of this they tend to have high standards for long term friendships and tend to take a few years before really considering someone even a “friend”

Part one: these people don’t consider people best friends and hardly throw the word around unless they’ve known the person near damn their whole life. These people can become very detached the more someone tries to become more intimate or get closer to them on a friendship level. They tend to loathe a lack of a connection and of they ever feel as though they have to pretend or wear a face to be around you they won’t readily consider you as a friend and dare I say they might never. To get close to them you have to understand that they want to be accepted for who they are and not who you want them to be! They instinctually people please so getting to know them is not triggering this response out of them! Be as goofy and “yourself” as you possibly can! Much like Saturn in the 5th these people want to see someone’s most authentic self and someone who is faking it or wearing mask and playing mental gymnastics won’t really fit because the 11th house Saturn native will reply by simply being fake and superficial in response.

Part two: they can be incredibly intimate and VERY PROTECTIVE AND LOVING friends who accept their lovers and friends for all that they are flaws and all! But the one issue here is that they can lack the ability to fake it or be artificial for too long. They like real and can have a very serious and mature view about what real community looks like, what real friendship and acceptance looks like! So if they ever get the vibe that your specific social group lacks foundation and proper knowledge they might write it off, if your offer for friendship seems forged in “I’m lonely and you’re available” they’ll be kind and sweet but they’ll never let you in emotionally. If you want them for their bodies or what they give to you on an emotional level as a lover, you’ll never really have them or know them on any level deeper than a kiss. They are people who crave a long term group or friendships that they can truly

Love and enjoy but most times they don’t get this and remarkably they attract a lot of older or Capricorn like friends who adore their company! They can seem sooooo tasty to the world because of their bubbly and lovely personality, their ability to read through people and their acceptance of others of all walks of life. That being said they don’t know how to pretend.. they can’t

Part three : to be close to these natives is more simple than you think. It’s about being yourself and knowing yourself. These natives have very good self awareness and from an early age they are able to self reflect and understand who they are. Because of this quality they look for self assured and stable friends who have a far out and rather open and free spirited nature. If you’re insecure then these might not be the friends for you. If you’re possessive and untrusting these might not be the people for you. If you’re shallow and vain then these won’t be the people for you. They adore people who are comfy with themselves and who are mature with a fun little mixture of unique and individualistic! Many love loner types and are ones themselves! If you have your eye on one platonically or romantically understand that the friendship won’t start over night! There will be withdrawal periods and times where they seem rather serious and detached and maybe even disappear of the grid multiple times but as the years pass you’ll notice they become more responsive, reliable and deeply caring and understanding. They are loyal as hell and will ride for their friends but it takes time to get there and it’s a ride you’ll have to stick through.

I’ve noticed that people with these Saturn placements tend to be drawn to one another and or they tend to have a very strong connection. Saturn in the 5th housers understand the need to be seen in Saturn in the 11th housers, the need to be accepted and understood, but they also understand the need for something real and Honest. Saturn in the 11th housers understand the 5th house Saturn natives need for privacy, integrity and stability. They understand their need for real intimacy and real deep compassion and depth. This is one of my favorite natal connections between two people! Almost second to someone with Pluto in the 6th falling for someone with Pluto in the 2nd. That being said, I sometimes believe that Saturn in the 11th housers do prefer to be alone as opposed to being with another person. It’s not out of being promiscuous or unable to settle down, rather it’s the inner revelation that no body will ever really “see” them.

The movie end of the f***ing world is a heavily saturnain movie and I do believe both of them had these two placements. Which is why they were so deeply magnetized to one another. But maybe why in the end he was the one running off and she the one caught(safely). And his status left rather ambiguous towards the very end.
