It works like this: You tell Kitestring that you’re in a dangerous place or situation, and give it a time frame of when to check in on you. If you don’t reply back when it checks your status, it’ll alert your emergency contacts with a custom message you set up.
It doesn’t require you to touch anything (like bSafe) or shake your phone (like Nirbhaya) to send the distress signal. Kitestring is smarter, because it doesn’t need an action to alert people, it needs inaction.

I was trying to explain this to a friend the other day. I get these premonitions in dreams I can never recall, though I know I dreamt something. It doesn't come back to me until a split second before the event happens as deja vu. Then I dissociate and know exactly what's happening. It makes me believe in reliving a previous universe. That or I'm just batshit crazy. I'm just now coming into my diagnosis as well, but this has happened all my life.
Is it a common schizo thing to have really intense deja vu? I’m not talking like ‘hey I just saw a cat I’ve seen a cat on this street before wow’ but like,, intense “I’ve been here before this has happened before” type of thing? In this exact building doing this exact thing thinking the same thing with the same story/journey/how I got here/ leading up to it. I dunno insight would be wonderful

hey so you know that vicious cycle of mental health making you unproductive which makes your mental health worse? don’t worry friend I am here with something that can help
just get one thing done. break the cycle. it doesn’t have to be some big task. in fact it’s better if it isn’t. decide on something that takes five minutes or less. keep it tiny and manageable - the key is to feel like you’ve accomplished something, so when your brain is all, you can’t even do a single thing all day except lay in bed being useless, you can be like, oh but I did do something, brain, suck on that. it might not seem like much at the time but it helps a lot to have something tangible you can point to
do you have dirty dishes in your bedroom? get rid of ‘em. you don’t have to wash them, just put them in the sink with soapy water. done. easy.
do you have a pile of empty water bottles sitting there? good for you staying hydrated. but you don’t need a mountain of plastic reminders. throw a few in the trash or in recycling. don’t worry about chasing down every single one, just pick a number. get rid of 5 or 10. easy, manageable even if you feel terrible. done.
do you need to do something early tomorrow? get something ready now. just one thing. lay out an outfit. fill the coffee maker so you can just press a button tomorrow. pack your backpack or purse. bonus benefit, future you will have an extra few minutes to breathe in the morning.
do you have a pet? spend 5 minutes with your pet. cuddle them. play tug of war. make baby noises at them. your pet loves you. I bet they miss you when you’re sad. you’ll both feel better.
has it been 3 weeks since you did laundry? pick your clothes up off the floor and put them in a laundry basket. don’t actually wash them or even take the basket anywhere. just collect the clothes for later so they aren’t spread all over. it’ll make actually doing them that much easier when you have more energy
did you manage to wash your clothes but not put them away? fold something. fold another thing. and one more. put them away. three things. you got this one.
did you do your one thing? good. I’m proud of you. even if it didn’t make you feel better, guess what? you did a thing. you got something done, you can be done now. you can go back to bed if you want.

What is psychosis? Are you experiencing it? Psychosis can manifest in different ways, and this checklist can help you figure out if what you’re experiencing is indeed psychosis. One may use it to self-diagnose or as a worksheet to present to a doctor or therapist or other medical professional and better communicate symptoms they are experiencing. In order to for your experience to be considered psychosis, you must experience ONE or more of the following:

I experienced fixed beliefs which won’t change even when I am faced with contradicting evidence.
I am convinced an individual or group is going to harm me, even though I have no evidence they want to do so, and no reason to believe they do. (Exception: Many people who feel someone intends to harm them do have reason for doing so, but are gaslighted into believing they are instead delusional.)
I will believe certain gestures, comments, or environmental cues are directed at me, even once it’s proven to me they are not.
I believe I have exceptional abilities, wealth, or fame.
I believe someone is in love with me, even when they have told me they are not.
I believe a major catastrophe is going to occur, despite having no evidence or being presented with evidence disproving my belief.
I am preoccupied with the thought something is wrong with my body or organs, despite having no symptoms or having proof nothing is wrong with me.
I feel as if my thoughts are not my own, or that I am being controlled.

Symptoms MUST only be present while the person is fully awake, and not right before going to bed or when just waking up. Hallucinating before and after sleep is quite normal.

I switch from one topic to another very quickly, and the topics are not related to each other at all.
My answers to questions are hardly related to the questions asked, or not related at all.
My speech is disorganized and it’s hard to understand me. (must be severe enough to impair communication, as disorganized speech is common in non-psychotic disorders)

okay but it’s so important to do little things for yourself that help you feel comfortable in therapy. like for some people thats bringing stuffed animals or blankets or their journal, but for me it’s spending the first five minutes showing my psychologist cool rocks ive found/bought since i last saw her. it helps me relax and gives my hands something to do throughout the session. theres no such thing as a “stupid comfort item/habit.” sometimes you gotta start your therapy talkin about what happened on your favorite tv show. sometimes u gotta show your therapist pictures of your pet or ask for a pic of theirs. it’s okay.
being comfortable in therapy is the first step towards significant progress.
Well let me tell you, it was quite the pragmatic purchase. It has endless uses in my morning routine.
Such as making the bed:
Making toast:
Getting things off high shelves:
Making coffee:
Reaching the remote when it’s too far away:
And assisting me when I ran out of toilet paper:
I don’t know how I survived life without it.

I didn't realize this and my brother is handicapped. But we have to do everything for him. This is grand.
Like, 90% of infomercial style products were designed by/for disabled people, but you wouldn’t know that, because there is no viable market for them. THey have to be marketted and sold to abled people just so that any money can be made of off them and so the people who actually need them will have access.
I think snuggies are the one example almost everyone knows. They were invented for wheelchair users (Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a coat on and off of someone in a wheelchair? Cause it’s PRETTY FUCKIN HARD.) But now everyone just acts like they’re some ~quirky, white people thing~ and not A PRODUCT DESIGNED TO MAKE PEOPLES DAY TO DAY LIVES 10000X EASIER.
But if at any point you were to take your head out of your own ass and go “Hey, who would a product like this benefit,” that would be really cool.
